“I absolutely love this place! It has a great atmosphere as it’s really busy, we came here around 1pm! The food is absolutely incredible, light but filling. And everything tasted so great especially the bun, which was my favorite. I wouldn’t recommend the sea salted caramel drink with green tea as it’s just cream with green tea. I also love the hipster elements here, the plants and the light wood really brings this place alive ! The service is great and everyone is so friendly and attentive.”

5257 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027, United States

“Having visited multiple times, I can confidently recommend the Roast Duck, Roast Duck Curry, Pad Kee Mao, Pad Thai, and Pineapple Fried Rice. However, the curry is unexpectedly watery and doesn't come with rice, though it's remarkably tasty. Service can be hit or miss, but generally good. This restaurant is the busiest in the area. Valet parking is available in front, and if you're patient, street parking around the block is an option.”

L V Seafood Restaurant

“Fantastic! We've been to LV three times in the 30 days and it hasn't disappointed. Everything that comes to the table is freshly prepared and steaming hot. Even better are the flavors of each dish, which are superior to any Chinese food I've ever eaten. I honestly didn't know that Orange Chicken could be so fragrant, tender, and even a little spicy. They've been in business for 28 years for doing everything right!”

Beverly Soon Tofu Restaurant

2717 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006, United States

“Came here on a Monday night putting ourselves on the Yelp waitlist before we came. The place is quite small but it seats a decent amount of people. Food: The tofu soup is quite average, but I really liked the mixed bean rice and the potato appetizer. Other than that, the rest of the dining experience was alright but it wasn’t extremely special. I got the mushroom and beef tofu soup. The mushroom was a little bit overwhelming in taste. Service: Food came in around 20 minutes and appetizers in 5. The great part is that the appetizers are unlimited! Ambiance: Super packed and casual place. By any means, this wasn’t a bad place to go, but wasn’t super great by my tofu soup standards.”

“I wanted to like this place and ordered 2 different dishes . The Panang curry is very heavy on the peanut sauce and didn’t hit the spot. Vegetables taste like they came from a can. Curry also doesn’t come with rice which is weird. Ive never …”

Hop Li Seafood Restaurant

“Recommended by a friend. Came here alone at lunch time. I was not the only single diner. Lots of seating. People picking up Togo orders and and large parties coming in. Very clean. Quick service but they did not speak English and not very attentive. Food was delicious. Smaller portions for the lunch specials, ordered a side of fried rice, there are no substitutes allowed. Fresh lobsters in the glass tanks. Will recommend and would likely return.”

“The food is very good, and about what you’d expect for the price, but it’s hard to get a good selection if you’re eating solo. As a couple or small group you’d have more choice without breaking the bank. Service on arrival made me think I should’ve reserved, before I was taken into an empty restaurant on a Sunday night. Unnecessarily stand-offish. I had a seat at the kitchen which added to some of the atmosphere but tempered by the cold welcome.”

“Came here for lunch on Sunday and was seated right away. Nice atmosphere, was pretty busy with locals. Enjoyed the grilled lemongrass beef with noodles and the seafood pancake. Was really tasty!”

King Poke

2366 CA-1, Lomita, CA 90717, United States

“Hands down the best poke place in the South Bay. There’s limited parking but there’s street parking if the lot is full. Base price comes with one sauce and three toppings, but King Poke proves more is not always better. Ingredients are always fresh and consistent. Don’t forget to bring your stamp card because you’ll probably be back.”

“Good spot for some Thai food, all the food we ordered had good flavor to it. The only negative thing I experienced was the food was not warm, more like room temperature. Our waitress was great, very friendly, and on top of any needs we had. She was very interactive with my kids as well and included them in any conversation we had. Prices are good for the portions and quality of the food in my opinion. The plaza has free parking but with all the other restaurants and businesses, parking can be a hassle to find.”

Night + Market Weho

9043 Sunset Blvd West, West Hollywood, CA 90069, United States

“A nice cozy Thai restaurant that feels like a authentic spot right out of Phuket. The decorations are nice, but feel a bit cheap for the price of the food. Food is served family style and average at about $18 per plate, but they aren’t so big as to fully serve two people from one plate (other places like TOI have the same price but bigger plates). Food was really delicious and I highly recommend the Pad Kee Mao (tho it’s quite spicy, be warned). I’d say the restaurant would work quite well as a date night or a fun friends night as the food is served family style. Beer is available, but not on the menu for some reason. I’d recc this spot!”

Chinese Delight

5952 Lankershim Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 91601, United States

“This place is always my go to when I want Chinese food in this area. Truly they have not disappointed me yet. They are super friendly and super quick. It is a lot of food if you order a large, so just be mindful that you will have leftovers. My favorite thing to get here is their rice. I make sure I always get a side of some type of fried rice.”

Gwen

6600 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028, United States

“Industrial chic meets old school Hollywood glam. Gwen is the kind of place that makes you feel fancy without being pretentious. The ambiance is like stepping into a storybook—sophisticated, enchanting, and with a dash of whimsy. A feast for the eyes where modern meets retro as aside from being fine dining it is also a butcher shop. This place is the perfect backdrop for the culinary composition that unfolds. Every dish is a vibrant array of taste. Starting out with the bread that is paired with their house-made butter. The crudo is a high-wire act of freshness, each bite comprised of delicate flavors. Let's dive into the lobster dish. As the dish arrives, your eyes are immediately drawn to the mesmerizing palette—rich corals and deep crimsons of the lobster, a celebration of color, an edible kaleidoscope proving a meal can be as visually stunning as it is delicious. Succulent, buttery, and dripping with flavor, the lobster is the prince charming of the menu. Ah, the flat iron steak is cooked to perfection, juicy, and tender. A carnivorous indulgence that makes you appreciate the art of a well-cooked piece of meat. The duck fat potatoes are a sideshow that steals the spotlight. Crispy, golden, and so addictive you'll be reaching for more. As for dessert, the apple tart with ice cream is a sweet encore. The tartness of the apples and the sweetness of the ice cream leaves a lingering taste and sweet echo in your memory. Steak is a culinary cornerstone at this place, but top to bottom every dish at Gwen is a journey worth savoring.”

Thai Patio

5273 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027, United States

“This is our new favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The portion is huge. Yes huge. The taste is not as good as the other Thai restaurant in the same plaza but not that behind. They have plenty of seats and the service time was ok. This is a handicap friendly facility. Parking is valet only with only $3 with validation.”

Kin Long Beach Kitchen
4.7

740 E Broadway, Long Beach, CA 90802, United States

“I was looking forward to trying this place. I was low-key disappointed in their food. Orange chicken did not have much sauce at all and I got very bloated at the end. The pad Thai is fire though it’s the spicy pad Thai that was fire though, and the veggie rolls!”

The Little Izaka-ya By Katsu-ya

4517 Sepulveda Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA 91403, United States

“I haven’t even finished my meal yet and I’ve had incredible service from the greeter who got me a seat at the sushi bar immediately and brought me a water. Then the girl who got me my sake and beer was sweet and cracked me up. The manager on duty was amazing, my sushi chef got my food on time. They even poured my sake since I was by myself! Cleared my edamame bowl. Just over all a cool place and not expensive”

Jazz Cat Restaurant

18588 Gale Ave, City of Industry, CA 91748, United States

“Price is fair, meat quality is good. black leaf speck on Napa cabbage and browned broccoli do not look appetizing. 3 of 6 burners out of order, needed to repeatedly flagged down servers to add broth to prevent burning the pots. No-ice water tasted funny.”

Kato Restaurant
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$

777 S Alameda St Building 1, Suite 114, Los Angeles, CA 90021, United States

“Definitely 5 stars overall, but it is a bit pricey. I recommend the bar course over the full menu. They are definitely working very hard towards getting two stars but there are still many details in which they should take notice such as “giving out” extra courses because in the end of the meal I wasn’t exactly full nor comfortably well eaten. BUT don’t get me wrong, the technique and flavors are all there. Sitting by the bar was definitely nice since no one sat there and there was a great bond between us the customers and the bartender. The caviar, milk bread and fish stood out completely. I could eat many of them. Go for the great experience and environment!”

“The XL size pho (beef noodle) is really big with a very reasonable price. Their egg rolls and spring rolls are good. However, it is quite hard to find a car park in this plaza. Very inconvenient!”
