“Not your average fro-yo place. From Smoothies and yogurt, to being able to scan, copy and print. This place is a healthy hang out. Service is always fast and friendly. Their smoothies are naturally sweetened with the fruit the use for blending. I really like coming in here during my lunch breaks for a healthy refresher.”

Roma Market
4.7
( 10 reviews )
Open until 05:30 PM

918 N Lake Ave, Pasadena, CA 91104, United States

“This is a small specialty market selling Italian food. The place is well known for its delicious inexpensive Italian sandwiches that are prepared every morning. A lot of people buy these sandwiches so they usually run out by lunch time. The market has a great selection of Imported cookies, bread, pasta, oils canned goods and bottled items. I’ve never tried their frozen pasta and store made sauces but I can vouch for their delicious prosciutto that is sliced on the spot. This is the place to go for charcuterie in Pasadena.”

1835 E Cesar E Chavez Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90033, United States

“Always a quick stop for high quality food for a cheap price. Very friendly service and delicious and affordable options. A great choice for lunch or dinner on any night. My go-to is chicken teriyaki but Korean BBQ beef short ribs and Thai BBQ chicken are great options too.”

Johnny Pacific
4.7
( 8 reviews )

20133 Saticoy St, Winnetka, CA 91306, United States

“The empanadas are good, depending on what filling you choose(some have great flavor some were lacking flavor completely). Empandadas are kinda big in size, crispy on the outside, but on some the dough was still uncooked in the inside . The prices IMO are a bit too high though, a dozen was over $50. Plenty of parking on plaza lot.”

I don't always get the chance to go but when I do I make it a trip worth taking. I try to grab a little bit of everything. The Slice & Pint

“Delicious pan pizza. The dough had tooth to it, and the crust was crispy and flavorful. Beer (mostly from El Segundo brewing who owns this establishment) but there are others and a variety of wines to choose from too. I'd go back for the late night hunger pang I had.”

Angel Maid Bakery
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

“I ordered from them a week before. The price was very reasonable, and the cake turned out so cute! It was quite big and my group of friends couldn’t even finish it, there were leftovers for the next day. The cake was very light airy and soft and the frosting nice whipped not too sweet. A refreshing, delicious, light taste!”

“So I live in Michigan and my sister lives in LA and I usually send her a cake for her birthday but this year she said she wanted birthday cinnamon rolls. So began the search for a great cinnamon roll that could be delivered to my sister's job. Over and over again Copenhagen Pastry came up as having the best cinnamon pastries, so I called and ordered the Cinnamon Rolls and Braids to have delivered to my sister for her birthday. I am so thankful to Copenhagen Pastry they delivered the order at the specified time and place and the delivery person was a real gentleman and my sister and her colleagues loved the pastries and said to give them a 10 star review. So thank you Copenhagen Pastry for your exemplar customer service and pastries.”

Lobster & Beer
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

3456 Motor Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90034, United States

“Excellent excellent food! The portion sizes are quite generous according to the price. I have paid more $$$ for a lobster roll that had half the portion size in comparison to Lobster &Beer! We tried one of each lobster roll, & I am showing photos of both. The roll/bread is so addicting!!!! so fresh and soft it tastes like it was popped out of the oven within the last hour. I always find myself wanting another the next day! The made from scratch clam chowder is also delicious. The lobster quesadilla is also stellar.! it was gobbled up before I could document it with a photo! 😂🤣 Shawn took our order over the phone & they didn’t miss a beat. This is one of our new go to restaurants that I will be putting on the roster. Edit: The food is still always consistent with lots of lobster! A new favorite is the grilled cheese w/lobster that also comes with a creamy tomato soup “dip”. Amazingly delicious! The clobster roll is mixed crab & lobster, also yummy. The shrimp roll is stuffed full with shrimp. I have included pics of each.”

Parking lot, 2601 Clark Ave # A, Long Beach, CA 90815, United States

“Yummy sushi! I got a seaweed salad, lobster roll, and Philly on fire roll. All very tasty! Lobster roll fell apart but was still delicious. The Philly on fire roll is a tempura fried roll, I didn’t realize that. Still good! I will be coming back to try more rolls or things in the future. There is an inside sitting area, to go counter outside, and a drive thru!”

Taix French Restaurant
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

1911 Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90026, United States

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Taix, a french restaurant, and I must say, it was an absolutely delightful experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was elegant and sophisticated, with traditional french decor. Upon arriving at the restaurant, I was greeted by the waiter who escorted me to my reserved table. The lighting in this section of the restaurant was dimmed, creating a warm and inviting ambiance that was perfect for a romantic evening out or a quiet dinner with friends. The tables were well-spaced, providing a sense of privacy and exclusivity. The overall atmosphere was quiet and serene, with only the soft murmur of conversation around you, making it an ideal place for couples, friends, and families looking to enjoy a delicious meal in a relaxed setting. The service was attentive and professional, with servers who are knowledgeable about the menu and able to provide recommendations. I decided to eat the Steak Frites au Poivre which is a classic French dish that typically consists of steak that is pan-seared and served with a peppercorn sauce, and fries. The steak is typically cooked to the desired level of doneness and I chose medium well in order to balance both tenderness and flavor and I must say, it was an incredibly delicious experience. The steak itself had a rich and complex flavor, with a perfect balance of tenderness and juiciness. The peppercorn sauce added a bold and savory taste that complemented the steak perfectly. The fries were also amazing, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, they balanced the richness of the steak. The dish was presented beautifully, and it was clear that a lot of care and attention had gone into its preparation. I highly recommend giving it a try if you ever have the opportunity, it’s sure to be a culinary delight. In addition to the delicious meal, I also had the pleasure of trying one of the restaurant's desserts, a chocolate mousse. I must say, it was truly a decadent experience. The mousse had a rich and velvety texture, with a strong milk chocolate flavor that was both intense and indulgent. The mousse was whipped and it was so silky that it was almost like cream, it was incredibly delicious and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable dining experience. It was the perfect end to a perfect meal, and it left a lasting impression on me.”

Aruffo's Italian Cuisine
4.5
( 8 reviews )

126 N Yale Ave, Claremont, CA 91711, United States

“Love coming to Aruffo’o any day of the week and spontaneously where advanced reservation are usually not required despite of its popularity and reputation of gourmet savory Italian cuisine. Aruffo’s make birthday extra celebratory for the birthday guests by serving their dessert with a sparking birthday candle. They recently opened an outdoor patio sitting area where it is decorated with a cozy fireplace, a waterfall fixture and Christmas tree lighting neatly spread throughout the invisible ceiling and directly above the newly added tables and seats. The whole experience in dining in such a warm, cozy and alluring atmosphere is both dreamy and magical. You have got to come here to experience all these in person. I highly recommend Aruffo’s to the locals, visitors and world travelers.”

Vinegar Rfi Sh By Sushi Nozawa

146 S Lake Ave #108, Pasadena, CA 91101, United States

“The sushi here is always amazing- " like butter", it melts in your mouth. Wonderful tastes, which are well presented and friendly and attentive service. You can enjoy a meal that will leave you satisfied and not stuffed and groggy. I wish the seating wasn't so close together, bit I like space. Thank you for your wonderful food and service. Will be back soon.”

Stella Barra Pizzeria & Wine Bar
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

2000 Main St, Santa Monica, CA 90405, United States

“How lucky we were to find ourselves in Santa Monica on a Sunday (pizza night in our world!) We walked over from the pier for dinner at Stella Barra, checked in, and were seated quickly (although we later got a notice from Open Table about not showing up for our reservation which is always humiliating, especially when it's not true. :/) It's a comfortable space with really delicious Neapolitan-style pizza options. I had a glass of the Chianti D.O.C.G. wine to start (when in Rome...) which helped from the experience nicely. And for my pizza, I ordered the Spicy Giardinera & Olive Pizza. This was a little out of the box for me as at a new-to-me pizza place I typically order a margarita or basic cheese pie to get a baseline of what they can do. I'm glad I ventured out as this was super tasty with a perfect crust. Saved a couple slices for lunch the next day and felt like a millionaire. My wife had the Shaved Mushroom Pizza on Gluten Free Crust. Also really tasty and with just about the best gluten-free crust we've had. Most places have a token, probably frozen standard gluten-free crust that is used so they can cover their bases. This one is made in-house, and although not quite the same as their regular crust, was crispy, chewy and a really thoughtful offering for gluten-free folk. Our kid had buttered pasta and fries (dinner of champions.) The fries were super guided and we helped ourselves to our share of them. We'd order from her a lot of we lived in Santa Monica. Really really well done Neapolitan pizzas.”

Better Than Sex - A Dessert Restaurant
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

7166 Melrose Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90046, United States

“The desserts are way too big and if you want to try a couple they'll be no room for anything else. There's a dividing wall in the dining room that makes some of the booths at the entrance feel claustrophobic.”

Vinegar Rfi Sh By Sushi Nozawa

12833 Ventura Blvd Suite 129, Studio City, CA 91604, United States

“We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with a short wait on a bustling evening. We went with the "DON’T THINK. JUST EAT. TRUST ME" meal, and everything was excellent, especially the lobster hand roll.”
