“I only gave 4 stars because at breakfast, the egg option was hard boiled - they were inedible due to the excessive cook time. I know it's a free breakfast, but those protein options are horrible. The room was fine. Everything seemed pretty new, and the shower was quite large. I was in room 224, which has a view of the pool. I was only there a short night, so activity at the pool didn't exist, but I could see how, at a busy time, it might get loud. Trying to draw the privacy curtain was a challenge due to where the desk/TV stand was positioned. Room was nice and clean, I didn't hear much noise and the bed was ok.”

“Finding a clean and quiet hotel can be difficult for me in California, but this hotel really hits all the marks. It's a very pretty hotel in a quiet area. The best part though is that the staff work very hard to make sure you're stay is exactly what you need. They helped us with setting up all of our transport, kept our room really clean and comfortable, and answered all of our questions and requests. I plan to stay here again anytime we're nearby.”

“I really enjoyed my stay at the Element. The rooms are spacious, heated pool, fireplace outside, various areas to entertain, hot breakfast included, my room had a full kitchen including a dishwasher, large bathroom (amazing shower pressure) and it was clean. I did not take out the Lysol wipes! Haha! Pillows and bed were super comfortable and on top of all that, I had an amazing view. The only recommendation i could offer the hotel owners is to include a bench in the showers. This would help us ladies with shaving (my now I am being super picky). In all honesty, no negatives at all and can only offer the bench as an improvement possibility. I had the pleasure of staying two nights and would definitely come back.”

“The room was great and the property was beautiful. There were also some really kind staff members. Considering this is a 5-star hotel I was really surprised to not receive housekeeping even once on a 3 night stay. This meant my coffee wasn’t refilled and I had to reuse towels. After requesting some items with the front desk, nobody ever showed up with them as they said they would over the phone. On top of that, there were obnoxiously loud protesters in the lobby that disturbed the peace for the entirety of my stay. I’m sure there are laws that protect protesters, but to allow them INSIDE the hotel property while making so much noise (drumming and screaming all day) is baffling to me. All things added up, this was a pretty awful stay and I’ll be looking elsewhere for future business visits.”

“We stayed at this hotel, three nights, and in two different rooms. First two nights, the room was nice; however, it was not stocked with coffee and towels very well - those were the primarily the problems. There is no free breakfast. There was no coffee bars in the lobby in morning. While the staff was nice. There are better places for the same price. We were then gone for a night to visit with family in area and back for our third night stay. The room we were given this time was right on the primary main street by the hotel. It was extremely noisy. Again, the coffee in the room was not adequately stocked , there were no wash clothes in bath. The room and bathroom or extremely small. The sink in the bathroom set a new record for smallness. Again, the staff was very friendly. If and when we come back to the LA area, we will not stay in this hotel. All three nights, the beds were comfortable. There are no towel racks, or should I say, extremely limited towel racks in the bathroom. These were all prearranged pre-paid hotel rooms, or after the first two nights I probably would not have returned to his hotel for the third night.”

“We had a wonderful day on Catalina Island. We particularly enjoyed our undersea sub expedition. Seeing all of the different fish in their natural habitat was amazing. The highlight of our day was the Zip line eco tour. We did it as a family of four with our daughters (9&12). Marco V & Travis B were our guides and they were fantastic - funny, engaging, kind and they took such good care of us and our safety. The hummer ride up there was a brilliant start and then the five zip lines are so exhilarating and offer the most phenomenal views. We would all highly recommend.”

“We got married here in December 2021. The staff are amazing and very accommodating. They were able to swap our venue in a day's notice due to rain on our outdoor wedding. The wedding venues are very magical and could not have been more perfect. The only reason why I'm giving them 3 stars is because their website for their hotel rooms is very very misleading. We rented the 2 bedroom suite so that we can get ready there for the day of our wedding. If you look at the pictures it should be enough to cater to at least 12 people in there since our wedding party is very small (2 bridesmaids and 2 groomsmen). To our surprise we got a suite that could not have been more than 700sq feet. The common room, which was supposedly out getting ready room was no more than 200 sqft. If you look at the pictures on their website the room is massive. It was very disappointing but we didn't want to let that ruin our special. Also the rooms were not cheap, they didn't even give us a discount since we're renting their wedding venue. The room was $2500++, which was worth no more than $1500.”
