4 Westmoreland Pl, Pasadena, CA 91103, United States

“Are you a fan of Back to the Future? Then come visit the Gamble House (of Proctor and Gamble). This is where they filmed the exterior shots of Doc Brown's house and garage. I took both an interior tour and a walking tour of the neighborhood. Lots of great historical information on mid-century Craftsman homes, architecture and the Gamble family. The extra fun aspect is how this location was used in Back to the Future! Be sure to get your tour tickets in advance online.”

“Staff is nice and this place has incredible selections of records! I attempted to shop for classical music today and I walked out with 2 vinyls and 2 CDs for $11 which was a decent haul. They offer genres of all kinds for vinyls at good prices. I don’t think anything saw was usually over 30 something bucks. Definitely in demand commercial or popular collectibles were around that price range. But this is a nice place to get affordable records! They also offer a bin/attic area where u can browse for so many records for a $1. I got myself a DuPre CD and a Yehudi CD there!”

4.4
( 16 reviews )

4800 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90027, United States

“Wow -- what a beautiful home! We were unable to tour certain parts of the house, but that is usually the case with most of the Frank Lloyd Wright properties we have visited. Regardless, this place is pretty magnificent. The docents were very interactive and knowledgeable, not only about Hollyhock, but other Frank Lloyd Wright idiosyncrasies and properties as well. This was the best $7 we spent in California for sure.”

The Artist Tree Weed Dispensary - West Hollywood
4.5
( 8 reviews )

8625 Santa Monica Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069, United States

“The girl at the front desk checking us in was amazing. Such a beautiful, vibrant, happy and welcoming energy and we felt right at home. With that amazing experience we thought we'd be treated the same in store, but sadly the guy with the dreads was exceptionally cold and unfriendly. No smile or greeting, seemed annoyed that we were there, very short with us and just exacerbated about everything. I almost wanted to just leave in that moment but we didn't want one person ruin the experience. We got our stuff and went upstairs, where the blonde male staff was super lovely, kind and helpful. Overall a great store, heaps of variety, and a wonderful spot upstairs to smoke and grab some food.”

Walt Disney's Carolwood Barn
4.8
( 8 reviews )

5202 Zoo Dr, Los Angeles, CA 90027, United States

“very cool experience. the barn itself had a wait to get in. it can move slowly because there are people that will look at and read every single information card. i loved the model of natures wonderland and how disneyland looked back then in that area. the people working there are very nice and knowledge. i went today for a book signing with becky cline and i’ve wanted to go for years. i’ve also been dying for some merch to look at.. there’s nothing online to look at or buy. i took pictures so people have an idea of what there is to purchase. there are no real bathrooms.. just portable toilets really. that’s not ideal but better than nothing i guess?”
