If you grant us access to your contacts, we will transmit information about your contacts to our servers for the necessary duration to process your invitations or friend requests.

Access to the Service may occur through various devices (e.g., mobile phones, personal computers, or other internet-connected devices) and platforms. Information collected and stored through these different access points may be correlated and merged. Contributions made through one Wheree platform are generally visible and accessible across all other Wheree platforms.

Upon creating a Yelp account, we retain and utilize the information furnished during the account creation process, such as the first and last name, email address, zip code, physical address, and any additional details provided during account creation. The first name and last initial, along with any photo or content submitted during the account creation, may be publicly displayed as part of your account profile. Preferences provided are also stored and utilized to personalize your user experience, including dining and activity preferences. Certain account information can be modified later through account settings. If you suspect the creation of an unauthorized account using your personal information, you can request removal by flagging it.

If you are a representative of a business listed on Wheree, we may gather and exhibit information pertaining to your business endeavors. This could include a business name that may include your personal name or a publicly accessible business address that doubles as a home address. Additionally, we will collect and showcase details about your professional background that you opt to disclose to us through the Service. This may encompass information about your professional licenses or certifications, as well as your professional history or areas of expertise.

While utilizing the Service, you have the option to permit Wheree to compile and retain confidential personal information about you, such as your exact location. You may also opt to share other confidential personal details via the content you post on Wheree, such as when writing a review, sending a direct message, or otherwise providing information on Wheree. It is possible to restrict or disallow our collection, utilization, or sharing of location data by adjusting the settings for our applications in the privacy settings of iOS or Android. Furthermore, you can eliminate content containing confidential personal information through your account settings.

When you initiate a transaction via the Service, such as making a reservation, joining a waitlist, scheduling an appointment, or completing a purchase, we will gather and retain the information you provide related to your transaction. This includes your name, phone number, address, email, and payment details, along with any additional information you provide concerning the transaction or request. This information is collected to process your transaction, send transaction-related communications, and facilitate future transactions. Aggregated or anonymized data from these transactions may be used for analytics purposes and to enhance Wheree's services. Such information may be shared with third parties, and third parties may reciprocally share such data with us for similar purposes. Industry-standard encryption technology is applied when you submit credit card numbers and sensitive payment information.

When you register for an account or utilize specific features, you are indicating your preference to receive messages from other users, businesses, and Wheree. Some of your messaging preferences can be managed through your account settings, but please note that certain administrative, transactional, or legal messages from Wheree cannot be opted out of. Additionally, information provided through communications with us, whether through phone calls, letters, emails, or other electronic messages, or in-person interactions, may be stored. Any communications with you, including phone calls, may be monitored and recorded for quality assurance. If you represent a business listed on Wheree or use a phone number associated with such a business, we may contact you, including by phone or email, using the contact information provided, publicly available, or on record for your business.

Details about your Service usage, such as search activity, viewed pages, visit dates and times, businesses contacted via our mobile applications, and transactions or reservations made through the Service, are stored. Additionally, information provided by your computer or mobile device during Service use, such as browser type, device type, browser language, IP address, WiFi details (including SSID), mobile carrier, phone number, unique device identifier, advertising identifier, location (including geolocation, beacon-based location, and GPS location), and URLs and mobile applications requested and referred, are stored. If our mobile applications are enabled to access location information while in use, including background use, your location is received and stored. You may have the option to restrict or deny our use of specific data through your device or browser settings, such as limiting or disallowing our collection, use, or sharing of location data or mobile advertising identifiers by adjusting the settings in iOS or Android privacy settings.

Additionally, certain information is shared with businesses on Wheree, whether or not they are advertisers, based on specified criteria.

Wheree has the capability to obtain information from third parties that helps identify and contact representatives of local businesses. This acquired data may be combined with other user information for various purposes, as outlined in the Privacy Policy.

Wheree shares user information in aggregate form with businesses listed on the platform and content distributors. This involves disclosing statistics, such as ad exposure and business visits, in an anonymized manner, respecting user privacy.

In scenarios involving business transfers, Wheree shares information with parent companies, subsidiaries, and entities under common control. Importantly, the acquiring company is bound to honor the same Privacy Policy, ensuring consistency in data protection practices.

Wheree's Service may include links to third-party-controlled websites, resembling business URLs. It's imperative to clarify that personal information is not shared with these external entities. Wheree disclaims responsibility for the privacy practices of these third-party sites, ensuring user awareness and autonomy when navigating external links.

In circumstances warranting investigation or disclosure, Wheree acts with transparency and responsibility. Information may be disclosed in compliance with legal processes, such as search warrants or subpoenas, to prevent or investigate potential wrongdoing associated with the Service. Additionally, disclosures may occur to safeguard Yelp's rights, reputation, property, or those of users and affiliates. Content-related complaints flagged by users are shared with contributors, facilitating a responsive exchange.

We acknowledge the sharing of user information with businesses on Wheree, encompassing details such as city, age, gender, device type, and service usage patterns. Users retain control over shared information through adjustable account settings. It's important to note that businesses have visibility into public activities and posts, and may receive transaction-related information, irrespective of user settings. Moreover, phone call details may be shared with businesses, mimicking direct calls, including date, time, and phone number. Users have potential control over phone number sharing via phone settings or service provider preferences.

In its capacity as a service provider, Wheree collects, receives, and processes specific information on behalf of businesses. For example, when you make a restaurant reservation or join a waitlist through Wheree, information such as your phone number, email address, and reservation details are collected on behalf of the business and shared with them. Wheree refrains from sharing information collected or received outside of its role as a service provider with the business or other third parties, unless disclosed otherwise in this Privacy Policy or at your direction. Third parties may also share information about you with Wheree to facilitate the provision of services. For example, Wheree may receive information for targeting advertising, measuring ad performance, or linking to restaurant loyalty programs or point-of-sale systems. The collection, use, and disclosure of your information by third parties are subject to the respective third party's privacy policy and relevant terms.

We depend on external service providers to offer support and deliver various services associated with your use of the Service. These services encompass food delivery, communications, hosting, security, fraud prevention, technical and customer support, tracking and reporting usage, quality assurance testing, payment processing, marketing, and other functions. Information about you is shared with these third-party providers to enable them to carry out their services or fulfill your requests. For instance, advertising identifiers like IDFA, GAID, or a cryptographic hash of your email address may be shared with providers assisting in Wheree's advertising programs.
