“My wife and I stayed here for a couple of nights. The hotel was decorated very nice and all of the staff was very friendly. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast bar offered a good variety of items that tasted very good. The only negative thing for me is the location. But other than that it was a pleasant stay.”

“Definitely found a bug in my room & it sucked bc my car broke down and this was the closest hotel with decent reviews... plaster coming off walls, outdated environment, and had to apologize 4-5 times about the wait from another customer. Over $90 a night and wouldn't ever go back. Thanks for being available when i needed a hotel, that's all you were good for. Oh, and continental breakfast gave my bf diarrhea. Thanks for that, too.”

“It’s a lodge so don’t expect a lot. But the room we got was renovated and we liked it. It’s a drive to get here from the ghost town or the national park and the last 3 miles are not paved. If your car can handle it then you should be fine. Also there is no cell service and WiFi is spotty, so good place to be disconnected. The cafe here is good.”

“It's hard to give 5 stars in a shared male dorm. Lovely building, old antique feel. Old Hollywood. Super close to star-walk and historical buildings and places. Lots to see here. Fridges with food labels, and outdoor dining patio. Quite nice space”

“Everything in the room was extremely clean and well kept. Complimentary breakfast served until 9AM- it was similar to what you would find in a cafeteria with some fresh and some prepackaged items. I enjoyed the black and green tea with sausage and potatoes. Also served eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, toast, bananas, yogurt. There was a shelf behind the front desk selling convenience store type items. Had a pool and hot tub, seemed to be functional though I did not get in it. Location was somewhat removed from the strip of shady motels on the other side of the freeway and felt more secure. The price was high for Bakersfield at $130, but I felt that it was worth it. NO BED BUGS. Pleasant experience overall.”

“The rooms are nice. Its location in the heart of historic downtown La Crosse is perfect. There were a few things that were sub par, particularly the pool. The photos of the pool online looked really nice online and I was meeting an old friend here with our kids. The pool was to be a big part of our trip. There is some sort of ventilation/humidity issue in the pool room making it overly humid, off smelling and causing alot of rust and corrosion. The water itself seemed clean enough and sanitary, but overall the pool area really needs some work. For the price we paid, it’d be nice to have functioning pool area. Also someone from the hotel staff came by at 4am in the morning and quite loudly slid a receipt for our stay under the door. They were struggling to get it under the door and it woke me up. I never quite got back to sleep after that. This receipt delivery service was completely unnecessary in this age of email. I would have preferred to not have been woken up.”

“I stayed at the hotel for 2 nights & the rooms were quiet, toilet and beds were clean and has free parking. Towels were changed everyday and the breakfast menu was pretty decent. It’s pretty close to everything (Groceries, Gas, Restaurants, etc.). The front desk staff were good too. The only concern was there were moulds on muffins that I noticed and the entire plate was replaced after I reported it to the staff.”

“The Lowe Hotel is a wonderful trip back in time, right on main Street for Point Pleasant. The building maintains so much of its old charm, but this does mean that some of its comforts are not on the level of modern hotels. “This park would be a favorite if it wasn’t so close to the shooting range. I love how the sites are set up. We are close to other people but we have more privacy. The shooting range really destroys the ambience. I read other reviews where people complained about the same thing and they were not wrong. It is constant and loud. Not sure if we’ll be camping here again.”

“I don't usually write reviews, but here it goes. This place was not worth the one star I gave it. This place is absolutely disgusting In every sense of the word. It smelled The water smelled like chemicals. There was no hot water for a shower The microwave did not work. And the carpet was Filthy I was very uncomfortable. The other guests complained about the same smell. It smelled like mold It actually made me sick. Please do not stay here very bad experience”

“Above average for a 1-star motel...I chose this for the price and location since I lived in the area for years and owner has done a great job updating the property ..be aware of: every room has a smell. My room was that purple fabioso smell meaning it was clean. No tissues or shelves in the fridge. Table was too high for sitting in chairs to dine. I appreciated the clock in the room and the microwave and AC worked great. Tub didn't drain so after shower I had to kneel and hold stopper up for a while but water pressure was better than at home. It's an older property so walls are thin but I always travel with earplugs to avoid loud neighbors in rooms. Location is excellent! Gas, restaurants, a Wawa, a park and a liquor store all within walking distance. Mere miles from Ocean City and shopping and great for the not AC crowd.”
