“We travel between Iowa and Texas a few times a year and have tried many hotels in Wichita as a halfway point. We discovered Homewood Suites earlier this year and it is our favorite. The front desk staff is so friendly my kids asked how they knew us and when we became so important. Shout out to Anna for her interactions with them. The hotel is very clean and well appointed, and has extras that our traveling family appreciates. We have used the putting green, basketball court, pool, hot tub, and enjoyed the outdoor patio overlooking the pond. Breakfast has more hot options than you see at a standard hotel breakfast. We also love that it's close to I-35 and within walking distance to restaurants. It's our new favorite place to stay!”

“I cannot say enough good things about Cedar Crest Lodge! The land is beautiful, the rooms are clean and prestige and the staff is above and beyond. They put thought into every single detail. We’ve never been so relaxed or taken care of. The spa was amazing, and the massage and facial were top notch! We loved walking the wooded trails, relaxing in the hot tub and using the sauna. Every single meal was SO good — chef approved! We can’t wait to visit here again and again :)”

“This is a 2 story hotel right on the beach. They have a small outdoor pool right near the beach. They provide chairs and towels for the beach. Parking is available across the street at no additional cost. Room was a little dated but clean. Our room has two beds, small table with 4 chairs, fridge, sink, and microwave. There are some restaurants within walking distance but more are available within a 5 minute drive.”

“My husband and I stayed in one of the cottages last week and it was super clean and comfortable. Being it was during the beginning of the off season, we had the indoor pool and hot tub all to ourselves and it was so nice. We loved that it was off the main busy area so it was nice a quiet. The staff are super kind and helpful, as well. If you are a family on a budget, I highly recommend staying here. The prices for entertainment and food in the Dells are outrageous everywhere else, so you might as well save on lodging. Don't let the word "motel" hinder your searching. These small family owned places know how to take care of their visitors! Is it super fancy and updated? No. All you need is a comfortable bed and a clean room at an affordable price, right? This is what you get here. It's perfect! We had a nice, relaxing stay and will definitely stay here the next time we visit.”

“Stayed here before a cruise. They room was great. They only thing is, we rented this room with the ceiling fan because we both prefer a breeze at night when sleeping. However the fan was not on, there was no batteries in the room that was attached to the wall for the fan. Messaged the front desk about it and they said someone would bring batteries. They never showed up and we finally gave up and just toughed it out. The hotel front desk ladies was really nice when checking in and answered questions we had. Breakfast was good, several things was out due to the crowd but understandable for a small breakfast before heading out for the day. Would stay here again if in the area.”

“We spent our Thanksgiving week here, it was gorgeous. The location is amazing and the staff is superbly friendly. The bar is always busy and has a pretty busy lobby. Families spent a lot of time near the fire pits and the open bar. The food is delicious. The attached restaurant is pretty decent as well. We loved their lunch menu. The hotel offers complimentary hot chocolate and hot cider during the day hrs. The pool was well-heated and the hot tubs were awesome. 5 of them, so have plenty of room. “Very clean hotel with a bit of a fancy ambience. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, bathrooms were clean and modern. A subtle but very appreciated touch was the full sized pump hand/body soap in the bathroom and shower (as opposed to the cheap bar soaps that no one likes). There's also a restaurant and bar on the first floor of the hotel. The hotel is located right in downtown Portland, with easy access to plenty of restaurants, bars, and other attractions. My wife and I walked a few miles and had no problem getting to places without a car. Only downside would be the required valet parking that is $40 per day - there's no self-parking for hotel.”
