They truly make you feel at home, I’ve never had service like this at any restaurant before - they even gave us free drinks just for visiting from far away! On top of this, the food was delicious and sizable portions for the price - especially the tacos which were loaded with meat. They put so much care into everything they serve, even the aguas frescas which were housemade (best horchata i’ve had hands down). On top of all this, the decor is beautiful. They got very busy right after I came in and only seemed to have 2 people working but the woman at the register was AMAZING. They happened to run out of ribs and shrimp this day which was ok because we chose other options. My son chose the brisket nachos. He complained the whole time he was eating them and threw over half of them away. He didn't like that the chips were mushy and he said he could barely find any chips underneath everything. He also said the cheese tasted like Mac and cheese and he didn't like the combination. My plate was great. The meat was delicious and the beans were on point. I could've done without the broccoli and over cooked fries though. The peach cobbler was absolutely the best part of the meal. Spending 70 dollars on 3 meals was a bit much, but considering the area it was not surprising. I might return for the cobbler alone but I would hesitate based on the pricing.”

I was introduced to their sotol through a private dining experience at Harold's Houston, and ever since then, I fell in love. Their ambiance is great! We had live music while there and were even able to visit their store and bought a few treasures. Their service was incredible. We were a party of 6: 3 gals and 3 doggos. Yes, they are pet friendly! Next time, I will definitely look into one of their tours. I can't wait to go back and try more items on their menu!”

There are a few stands that change every week - sometimes there are artists selling their work, or free blood pressure measurements, or vegan food like kimchi or cupcakes, or Girl Scouts selling cookies! Oftentimes there are lovely street musicians. I highly recommend the empanadas & salteñas from DMV Empanadas - they’re even better warmed up at home, and don’t forget some little sauce cups! I also love the ice cream pints from Broom’s Bloom Dairy. Rain or shine, limited parking, no dogs allowed, credit cards accepted at many stands (but cash is always appreciated).”
