“If you're going on a Route 66 this place is a must-stay. Just the outside is worth a stop, but a room here is like stepping back in time. All of the furnishings are original, and in excellent condition. My room even had a WORKING ROTARY PHONE! I called everyone I know from that phone just because ROTARY PHONE. The owner I met with was super friendly, and we chatted a bit about Tucumcari and Route 66 overall. 10/10, would definitely stay here again! On a side note: I recommend reserving this well in advance, as I hear that it books up pretty quickly and often. I think I reserved my room about 4 months out, but I would guess that during prime season, you might want to book further in advance. I was there on New Year's Eve, but even then, I think they were fairly booked up.”

“The rooms were beautiful, very clean. Customer service was awesome. The only downfall for The Visit and the hotel ended up refunding money. The hot tub and the swimming pool had too much chlorine in them and caused red eye and coughing fits. They were very sorry and fixed the issues immediately. My sister took my niece and her friends to have a girl's night for her 16th birthday, and she had an awesome time until they went Swimming, but they are fine and happy and can't wait till the next friend wants to have their party there.”

I stayed in the Milky Way, the converted semi truck which is the cheapest way to visit overnight, and it’s tiny and rustic (I loved it), but in case that deters you, do NOT think that all you’re paying for here is the lodging space — it’s the grounds, the springs, the food, the ethos, the opportunities for spiritual centering if that’s your interest, the optional talks and classes, and the unparalleled welcome. Perfect place to do a self-directed writing or spiritual retreat. They are also very trans friendly in proactive ways. One of the most body-positive spaces I can think of.”

“The first thing I noticed when I walked into the room was a used teabag sitting on the desk in a black container. That was beyond disgusting. I placed it in the trash, then proceeded to wash my hands. That's when I noticed there was no soap in the soap dish... okay, no big deal. I went downstairs to ask for a bar of soap. The little lady there wasn't smiling at all. She wasn't welcoming at all. It's her right to frown and act all tough, but this isn't the industry for that kind of behavior. We all have problems of our own, but we still have to remain professional at work. I bet she wouldn't be happy if someone treated her just like she treated guests (not just me). Nothing gets me more frustrated than horrible attitudes. I've worked in the service industry and I would never not make a customer feel welcomed. Some people drive hours or days to get to your hotel. The least you could do is fake a smile or say hi. Anyway, got to my room, washed my hands and realized the drain wasn't working. You had to wait minutes for the water to drain out completely. At this point, I was beyond frustrated, but I was only going to stay for a night, so I'll just power through. Well, so I thought. Come to find out the AC controls weren't designed for me to regulate them to my desired temperature. Maybe it was faulty? You change the temperature and it snaps right back to 74°F! I battled with the controls on both the actual unit and the wall mounted controller for minutes. I eventually, I gave up and went to bed. I got up the next morning and couldn't wait to leave. Oh, breakfast was like plastic too. I didn't mind it at all. It's good they offer breakfast, free parking, and free coffee. I'm grateful for that. Elevators worked and the general areas were clean. Thanks to a friendly guy I saw cleaning. The lady supervising breakfast was very nice too... deserving of an award. This is the last time I'm staying here. I love Hilton, but nope. Never again. I have pictures of the sink. Don't bother replying to my review. Nothing will ever change my mind about this place.”

“This hotel was the reason I booked a trip to New Orleans- and it did not disappoint. It provided such a unique experience and added so much more depth to our vacation. In order to appreciate it fully, be sure and go to the hotel website, and click on the "Explore" tab, and watch the "The Holy Ghosts" videos! These are beautifully made interviews with people who grew up in the area and either attended the school or went to church at Peter and Paul. The restaurant (Elysian) is spectacular, and the gift shop (Sunday Best) is adorable. Walkable to the French Quarter, but far enough to get some peace and quiet when you need it. There's an amazing bakery (Ayu Bakeshop) a couple of blocks away.”

“The room is great. The location is good, but it is quite a walk to the strip. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff is very attentive. I have two complaints. We have been here three days and have not received any housekeeping. I requested towels and never got them. I had to go to the front desk when we got back to our room late one night to ask for them and toilet paper. The guy that has been at the front desk our whole stay is terrible. ZERO customer service. You can go stand at the desk forever and he will not look up at you or acknowledge you. He doesn't say a word when you walk by. If you need something, your presence is an inconvenience to him. I'm a Marriot member and I'm highly dissatisfied by the customer service here.”

“The hotel overall is very nice. The service is spot on; very friendly from the front desk to housekeeping to hotel manager.They are also very accommodating if you need something special. The hotel is modern with a lot of conveniences you'd expect. The complimentary breakfast is the same as any other free breakfast; eggs, bacon, hash browns. Parking And security is very good too. The only issues that I had was the cleanliness and upkeep of the rooms. We found a used soap bar in the shower, coffee maker still had the used coffee grounds packet in the machine and the carafe wasn't washed. There was also hair on the sheets for the sofa bed. As for upkeep, the kitchen cabinets need to be replaced; they are very worn and it looks really bad. The shower has old caulking. It looks like maintenance just put a another layer of caulking over it. The wall above the headboard has been patched and painted however the paint doesn't match. Takeaway, the hotel is a solid 4, but be aware that housekeeping and maintenance don't look at the details. They simply do just enough to get by.”

“We like this place overall but the bathrooms/showers for tent campers are the worst of any place we’ve ever been. For as many visitors as they get this is embarrassing. We visited over Memorial Day weekend and this particular shower had a removable head/wand that was leaking but they had duct taped. It was barely functional then but sufficed. We returned in August thinking they surely would have replaced it but instead they just removed it leaving this laughable option for a shower. You can just imagine how difficult it was to get all the soap off those private areas and as a woman forget washing your hair. Won’t be going back as tent campers. It’s fine if you have an RV with full hook-ups or don’t like to shower after a day in the lake.”

“Reading some of the other reviews, I wonder if we were at the same hotel. We have stayed here many times, and our rooms have always been very clean and well-maintained. The game room and guest laundry are both great. The staff is accommodating and helpful. My only issues have been with other guests smoking in a non-smoking hotel...but that happens everywhere, unfortunately. This place seems to draw a lot of families, and it's a nice option for people traveling with kids because of the game room and sport court.”
