“Staying at the Chanticleer Inn was my first experience at a bed and breakfast and it did not disappoint! My husband and I were so impressed with the whole experience! Our room was clean, cozy, and peaceful. The breakfast was so wonderful and elegantly served. We also really enjoyed the fire pit, the friendly, helpful staff, and the delicious afternoon snacks. The stone architecture of the buildings truly make it feel like a fairytale! We will definitely be back and can’t wait for our next stay!!”

“Rooms very romantic and the entire building tastefully decorated. The sheets are unbelievably soft and comfortable. The rooms can be a little cluttered with too many chairs. Bathrooms and showers were a bit small especially counter space but adequate for one or two nights. Each night there were both red and white wines during social hour or your choice of coffee or tea along with hors d'oeuvres. All during the day there was an ample supply of hot drinks plus a coffee cake from local shops. If you have difficulty walking or doing stairs recommend that you reserve a room with a bed and whirlpool tub all on the same level.”

“Me and my boyfriend have stayed here twice so far and we plan to continue coming for a long time. We’ve stayed in the wilderness cabin as well as the shady oaks cabin and both were clean, comfortable, well stocked, and just a wonderful place to stay. We didn’t have too much phone reception but they have a huge selection of movies and games available at the main office as well as supplies for a fire, and some other small items you may have forgotten. They also have a very cute little gift shop. Overall the property is beautiful and it’s the perfect driving distance to both matthesson state park (my favorite) as well as starved rock.”

“Had a great short business trip here, and I have to tell you the staff is super friendly and accommodating. I was in town for a training session, in which a conference room was rented, and they went out of their way to make sure that we had everything we needed. I felt that they went over and above by providing the A/V cables we needed as well as printed copies of documents and even AAA batteries. The location seems to be super convenient (I am not familiar with the area) with some restaurants within walking distance. I wish I would have gotten the staff member's names so I could highlight them here, but everyone I encountered was a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely return if I am ever back in Wausau!”

“We travel between Iowa and Texas a few times a year and have tried many hotels in Wichita as a halfway point. We discovered Homewood Suites earlier this year and it is our favorite. The front desk staff is so friendly my kids asked how they knew us and when we became so important. Shout out to Anna for her interactions with them. The hotel is very clean and well appointed, and has extras that our traveling family appreciates. We have used the putting green, basketball court, pool, hot tub, and enjoyed the outdoor patio overlooking the pond. Breakfast has more hot options than you see at a standard hotel breakfast. We also love that it's close to I-35 and within walking distance to restaurants. It's our new favorite place to stay!”

“Great campground! Everything is clean and very well taken care of. The restrooms are equipped and maintained - not your typical camp ground expectations. Great showers! The camp spots aren't super private but they're big enough that there's good space in between. This is a great campground for family gatherings as it has many things to keep kids entertained and laid out in a way that kids can place and be safe from any busy roads. The dog park is fairly big and was a win for us! Overall great experience at this campground!”

“Stayed along the river in our camper. Nice location, the weather turned to cold and wet so would love to come when nice weather. The bathhouse is incredible. Nice showers and bathrooms and private and the laundry was excellent. The playground for the kiddos was fantastic. Didn't use the pool but sure looked great. People were so friendly, both staff and the other campers. Trolley great too. Go there.”

“This KOA was amazingly clean. From the minute I arrived the entire staff showed nothing but professionalism. Let's not forget the Internet and TV. The Internet was the best I have ever had at any RV park. They make pizza and prepare hot wings to your liking. Along with that they had local beer from a local brewery on tap. They also had a big selection of wine as well as your favorite coffee drink. I had a latte the morning I left and it was over the top. I would definitely stay at this place again. Thank you again”
