“Bobs in Martinsburg is known for the giant portions. The first time I went with 7 guys we did 3 orders of fries. You should have saw the amount of fries on the table. An order of cheese sticks is enough to feed 6 or 7 people. Give it a try and bring friends as portion size is huge.”

“Just as always, Starland yard was buzzing with people and a few well behaved dogs ( I’m scared of dogs but I have never felt threatened by any there). I tried the food truck After 8. I had the shrimp and salmon teriyaki bowl and the crab rolls, washing it down with 2 spicy watermelon margaritas from the bar. I drank the first rather quickly, LOL. Everything was definitely as good as they look!”

“I've been meaning to check this place out for months after hearing about it from a friend at work, and my best friend and I finally got the chance to have dinner here tonight. If I would have understood how awesome this place is, it wouldn't have taken me so long! You know how some places just feel like home as soon as you walk in? That's this place for me. The staff, the decor, the music, the amazing food and drinks, rhe game room, and the entire vibe of the place in general is exceptional. I can truly tell that this place was opened by people who share my love of horror, rock and roll, good food and drinks, and a bit of sacrilege. That's a rare thing to find, and I'm so in to it. I will be singing this places praises to anyone who will listen.100% recommend for anyone and everyone(even if you're not a horror nerd, metalhead, whatever!), all are welcomed here. I can't wait to go back and spend some more time at this place. Thank you to the owner(s) and staff for making this place a reality for weirdos like myself to feel at home at. Side note: there is also a super cool hearse parked outside that we noticed while going to our cars. The points keep racking up for this place.”

We made a reservation, had delicious food and drinks and then we met with Ms Chris right after that for a family photo shoot in their beautiful vines and I can not be happier. Ms Chris is absolutely amazing. So talented, patient and lovely to work worth. Our photo shoot included 2 adults and 3 kids and she amazed us as she snapped perfect shot after shot. “I needed a special place for a special anniversary for my special fiancée. I had reservation options, but I had heard great things about Vic and Al’s, and decided to roll the dice on getting in. Holy &$@*, am I glad we did. We pulled up, and thought it looked packed inside. Girlfriend went in to check, and the look was deceiving - they were definitely busy, but you can sit and order at the bar, as well. When it’s not too cold, there’s patio seating, too. We had catfish atchafalaya smothered in crawfish and shrimp étouffée, and a wood-fired oven-roasted mahi mahi with charred fennel, mashed sweet potatoes and sweet chili glaze. And, of course, the danged corn dogs. An Old Fashioned is a simple thing that is often wrong, somehow, but their corn old fashioned was solid as could be. My fiancée , who doesn’t usually love martinis, declared Winnie Martini one of the best martinis she’s ever had. The Orange Drink (tequila, ginger cayenne simple syrup, carrot and orange juice, with a citrus salt on the rim) was fantastic. But yay, fantastic food and drinks and a cozy, lively atmosphere. What really got us was the service. When everything is so fantastic, they could get away with good or “great” service. It could be super-efficient and servile, or it could have personality but just OK. The staff here gave you the kind of touches and personal attention you’d expect in a more expensive and potentially stuffy restaurant, but with a personality and sense of genuine care. We’ll definitely be back, and we’re bringing friends. I’ve lived in Austin all my life, over 50 years, and this is the sort of restaurant we all want to see survive and thrive. So, go do your part for that - you’ll be rewarded!”

“The family friendly pizza place of Clifton Square, on Douglas Street and between Hillside and Oliver. Tasty flatbread pizza is found here, and is at its best when you go for the lunch special where you can get just two slices. I’ve had some fine meals and great experiences at Ziggy’s with the family, especially during nicer weather on the patio, which they do also provide a couple of outdoor igloos for dining in colder temps. It’s very laid back inside with comfortable booths when they are available, and service is relaxed with average attentiveness, which is fine for a place like this. We most recently tried the enchilada pizza and it was flavorsome and uniquely presented for Christmas time. The dreaded Clifton Square parking is still a huge challenge and unfortunately Ziggy’s employees fill up all of the spaces in front of their restaurant as noticed in our last visit. I still enjoy outings here and my family thinks the world of this location so I would definitely recommend it for a group with children or a family outing to experience the College Hill area.”

“Small pub that serves up really good food. Honestly I did not have one bad thing here and have been talking about going back since I left. Had an odd feeling for British food and this just hit the spot. Everything is lightly breaded, especially the fish and chips that I got the cod version but they also do a haddock version as well. Add some vinegar or not, either way it was very fresh, not to mention the curly fries which were crispy and so flavorful. The appetizers are where it's at. The banger Bites which are bite size British sausages lightly breaded and served with pickled onions and a honey Dijon dip. Very flavorful and very juicy. The fried mushrooms were not to be outdone though, you can tell it's lightly breaded and a little juicy so all the flavors come through. Even the onion rings that came with the polish dog were tender and tasty. The polish dog was a special of the day and was quite delicious. A juicy sausage with mushrooms and onions. Not to mention the staff was nice and very interactive!”
