“(it contains no spoilers) I went yesterday for the first time with my boyfriend and we were warmly greeted by super friendly staff, all dressed up on the theme of the place. Shortly after our arrival we could go to our chosen room (the crypt), and everything was awesome. The decoration, the ambiance... The puzzles were cool and there were just few padlocks, what's great. But... (and here's the reason for the three stars) one of the puzzles didn't work. So we kept trying to find a mistake, loosing a lot of time (5-10min, what's a lot in a game like this), until we gave up and went for clues. And our solution was right, but the puzzle wasn't triggered by our response so we kept trying another couple of times until the puzzle worked and gave us the next clues. At the end we couldn't finish the room and although I can't tell we could've finished with the extra minutes (we were close to, according to the game master), it was still super frustrating to have lost precious time because of a failure in the mechanics of the game. We asked for some compensation and were offered to have our passports stamped (they have a cute passport for people that play), and that was it. It was really upsetting, because it felt not fair to be unable to get closer to complete the game because of a game problem. The room was fantastic, though. So, again, I'm trying to write a fair review despite the fact that I'm really annoyed and upset with the situation.”

“Our family of four stayed in a room with two queen beds. The rooms were modern, comfortable and nicely equipped (mini-fridge, TV with streaming services). We didn’t get the breakfast package, but purchased food at the hotel and it was very good. The gym is small, but has a few machines and dumbbells. We spent time in the hot tub (outdoor). The pool is also heated (outdoor). Lots of parking at the hotel - felt very secure. No EV charging, but there were charging stations in the shopping area nearby.”

“This was an unusual Hotel hey looks like an old motel that was converted. All the floor treatment had been removed and it was a bear concrete floors. The rooms were very spacious well decorated. The restaurant was good they had outdoor seating which is the right time of the year would have been wonderful.. it's right across from the CBS Studios very convenient if you're going to one of the game shows or one of the shows. I would recommend it to my friends and family”

“This is the sixth time I stayed a week at SureStay Santa Monica and as before it was great. The staff are the best, always pleasant, friendly and professional. Wish I could remember all their names so I could thank them. This trip my wife unfortunately became ill and needed to stay in bed for a day. The staff made sure we were comfortable and inquire throughout the day how she was and if we needed anything. Having to spend the day hanging around I observed how thoroughly the staff were cleaning the rooms. Our room was clean and nice and now I know way. This staff was cleaning every room in detail. Front desk staff were always friendly and professional. Breakfast staff welcomed with a smile, nice way to start the day. Past visits have always been nice but this visit was especially nice. “What a pleasant surprise this hotel was! I booked this hotel because I wanted to be close to downtown Los Angeles and because the price was excellent. As we got closer and closer and got more nervous - this hotel is not located in a nice out safe area. When we found it, it was like a little oasis. The service was friendly and efficient. The room was very clean, updated, and the bed very very comfortable. More than that it was completely walled off from the surrounding area and I felt very safe leaving my car parked in the parking lot. There is Panda Express, an Indian Restaurant, Seafood, other Restaurants too close by within walking distance. If you like shopping there is a Mall close by with Designer stores like Macys and other name brands. My rooms has a balcony and it was super nice and I enjoyed it a lot. There is a laundry on the 3rd floor and soap you can buy at the front desk. I enjoyed the Continental Breakfast, but it left me thinking there should be more offered?
