“Went here with my family and had the best time! Great for a family outing. Very toddler/young child friendly. Even brought our 3 month old and when he was fussy I just sat in the lounge area with him. Could still see the movie from there. Overall great experience and definitely will return.”

“It's a very calm and quiet place but also it was a holiday so perhaps it's normally busier. They had nice decorations around to take some holiday photos. The environment was friendly. I was very happy to see so many POC it made me feel welcomed. I never have before but we were at the cinema to see "The Color Purple," movie. So the atmosphere was very happy, cheery and united. It felt beautiful. The movie was awesome. They were many shops but they weren't open due to the holiday. ⭐⭐ There's an ice skating rink on the first floor towards the center of the shopping center. - The was an available Restaurant open for dining on the first floor on the opposite end. Then young lady who was the hostess that afternoon was polite, super sweet and had great customer service. She gave people directions to the movies theaters. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cinema Staff: Seemed Polite/No amazing customer service but not bad customer service either. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Down points: The seats worked well and lounged back although we my party and I sat in row H at the top the leather seat were peeling everywhere. Perhaps they're older. They were cracking. You could tell when they turned the lights on or when I shined a light to look for something I had dropped. ⭐⭐ They didn't look like the websites profile seats. ⭐⭐⭐ The Movie The actual Color Purple Movie was incredible. Would definitely watch multiple times. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Getting to the Cinema/Theater: • Directory near restaurant opposite wind of cinema/theater • Available parking garage • Elevators on premises (quickest/nearest option) • Escalators on premises (all weren't working) • Stairs on premises if you want a little work out • Wheelchair accessible In Theater/Cinema: • Bathroom near entrance towards the right • Concession stand towards the left upon entering • Photo booth towards the right - I think there were a few games in that area as well”

“Really great venue work good amenities, seats, and a nice waiting area pre show. There's parking on site, but it locks up for the night 30 mins after the venue closes, so move your car immediately. Parking is difficult to see headed south but is right next to the venue. The staff is super efficient and friendly. There are only two small bathrooms, FYI. Good refreshment options and a nice outdoor courtyard enfolded into the venue.”

“Great theatre, saw some of the best speakers there. Open layout and was able to have a good view and hear clearly from the top row on the second level and also when I went down to the back row on the first level!”

Los Feliz Theater
4.6
( 8 reviews )

1822 N Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90027, United States

“I absolutely enjoyed my movie watching experience at this theatre. They've maintained it beautifully from the curtains to the chairs are comfy and even designed the pre-movie clips to be old-fashioned. I also liked the small theatre intimate feeling for a change compared to those HUGE cinemas. Would definitely recommend anyone to pass by and watch a movie in one of LAs oldest theatres :)”

Regal North Hollywood
4.5

6150 Laurel Canyon Blvd # 200, North Hollywood, CA 91606, United States

“It's a nice theater upstairs, not too big just cozy, clean and new. 6 kiosks to purchase tickets as you enter. I went to watch Mission Impossible in 4DX, it's my first 4D movie. They use simulators to give the feelings. Pretty good. 20 bucks for 4D- not so bad.”

“First time in this theater for we had to see a movie thats been out of circulation already. I loved the classic feel to the theater. Brought me back in time. I also liked that they feature paintings and potteries/ porcelains you can purchase. However, I thought the snacks were cheap at first, but... They were miniature in size. 😅 Refillable drinks though! And thankful that staff are friendly.”

“Cute little single screen theatre. Run by the American Cinematheque, the picture and sound are always first rate. Concessions are pretty good with hit popcorn and cold drinks, and they're reasonably priced. Programming selection is also great with popular movies with actor and directors on hand, to 70mm festivals every now and then.”

“We're newcomers to LA, visiting family for a long weekend. Discovering this highly-rated movie theater near our cousins' place was a delightful surprise. Our nieces thoroughly enjoyed the Disney’s “Wish” film. What amazed me was the exceptional quality of this theater compared to the usual chains. The staff's friendliness and warmth were notable. Comfortable seats, reasonably priced concessions, outstanding projector quality, and an impressive sound system made this experience one of our best memories at the movies”

“Mom saw this movie and loved it. Painting animation is such an artistic change in the appreciation of watching a story/movie. The artistry and visual filming made me feel the intensity of the story. Amazing!! I’m so happy I was able to see it in our Santa Monica theater this week. The only West Coast showing. (Per mom).”

“I like this independently owned theater. generally screen a good variety of films, the snack bar is very reasonably priced, any staff are all friendly. the last movie I saw was a low budget martial arts film, Mayhem, and the star showed up to thank us and did an informal q&A. LA needs more theaters like this one!”

Regency Bruin Theatre
4.6
( 10 reviews )

948 Broxton Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024, United States

“By far the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in, feels like sitting in the middle seat on an airplane. Their seats are incredibly small and close together. I’ve had many enjoyable experiences seeing films and Q&As with casts for popular films around in LA in other more intimate and well-maintained theaters. But this thester is huge and everything feels far away, an ironic contrast to the world’s smallest chairs. The screen and audio were worse than your average AMC. It’s not the 1900s anymore. It’s possible to keep your old school vibes while updating your facility More important than making your seats comfortable, please at least try to make your seated accessible. They are hard to get in and out of and are very skinny. If you have mobility issues or have hips, this theater is most unwelcome. So many other better theaters in LA. Don’t waste your time here.”
