“Overall it’s nice. Very clean rooms and The staff were wonderful and the most memorable thing about the place. They helped us sort out a room with a king sized bed when I messed up the booking and were super sweet to me while explaining what I got wrong. 10/10 front desk. We didn’t swim but the pool looked beautiful. A few gripes were that there was no hot water. Showers only get lukewarm (my girlfriend got sick and was absolutely dying for a hot shower to help her feel better.) and there’s not much in the way of water pressure. House keeping/maintenance also tried coming in twice while we were indecent which wasn’t cool. I understand house keeping checks but there was literally no knocking or warning. The only thing that saved us was the metal latch. There also aren’t microwaves in the rooms which is fine I guess but figured for $170 a night they’d have one. The location also is a bit out of the way but has lots of fast food options nearby as well as a liquor store right next door. (Which is a bit pricey)”

“Such a cute and chic hotel! Location is centrally located that we were even able to walk to Orange Theory to get a little vacay workout in. Staff were all very nice and friendly. The valet parking was easy getting in and out. We loved the rooftop bar at night. The drinks and food were amazing! Super cute up top, very chill. Even the cafe downstairs was simply delicious. Came with a girl friend and we both felt safe being there by ourselves.”

“Let me start with the service. It was amazing. Everyone is very friendly. For the price, the room was very appropriate and overall a good deal. There were quite a few stains on the sheets and curtains that looked I bit like they may have been blood, which I was not a fan of, and why I did not give a 5 star.”

“Our experience at the Bayside Hotel in Santa Monica was exceptional. The stay surpassed my expectations in every aspect. Despite its slightly dated exterior, the interior boasted a modern ambiance with newly renovated flooring, bathrooms, and beds. Its prime location just across from the beach was incredibly convenient. The service was outstanding; the staff ( Kosta ) went above and beyond, granting us a complimentary upgrade upon request. Their kindness and hospitality made our stay memorable, and we're already planning a return in the near future. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel without any hesitation.”

“My husband and I check in for 3 nights and we love it. The beach is so close that you could hear the waves. Night time is quite, there is no bums roaming so it's safe. There is rooftop and a patio to chill. You can hear people passing on daylight talking outside but I'm not bothered with it cause we're not always there in our room. The bathroom is small but decent. It can be hot in the evening even with the window open so we don't use the blanket and it will be fine,and this is December too. The price for an oceanfront room is 200 and I think it's worth it. People at the front desk are nice and accommodating. Parking your car will be difficult because they don't have enough space and you have to pay 20 dollars for a reservation. Well, that's it. I would definitely come back if we ever miss the beach.”

“We searched for literally hours online to find a place to stay for our Universal Studios Hollywood trip. Finding this gem was well worth the headache! Rooms were very clean, and the beds were better than decent. Pod coffee in room with fridge and microwave. Breakfast was AMAZING for a continental breakfast. Lobby was always clean and staffed by friendly and helpful team members. Lots of great food options nearby (we loved Tokyo Hamburg). Universal Studios was a short 15 minute drive with no traffic. 10/10 would stay here again!”

“Being in the city center might appeal to young travelers, but it's definitely not recommended for family trips. Parking is a hassle as it's in the adjacent building's tower, which feels quite unsafe. The rooms are extremely cramped, lacking even a fridge. The beds shown in the pictures take up so much space that there's barely any room to move around. The staff is unfriendly and the customer service is terrible—they even hang up on inquiry calls. The rooftop area is noisy until late at night, making it impossible to sleep, and the soundproofing is ineffective. Additionally, the breakfast times provided didn't match the actual service hours, causing us to miss breakfast on some days. However, when available, the breakfast itself was tasty. They run out of ingredients quickly, leading to unavailable menu items. Overall, this was by far the worst hotel experience I've ever had.”

“My family and I came for the race weekend. The service was great, they even put out the breakfast at 3 am for the runners, and when the ferries were cancelled due to wind gusts, they gave us a discounted rate to stay an extra night. Rooms were clean. Only difficulty is there is no elevator for handicapped individuals and courtyard rooms get a lot of echoed sounds, but the night time was quiet and we slept very well. Ocean side rooms were beautiful. Very convenient location right on the main road with a very short walk to restaurants. Great place!”

“Like many people said, this is a night club first and second a hotel, the vibrations and sound is definitely something. I asked for upgrade room, not a word. For 3 times I requested extra towels from the front desk and nothing, I personally ask for bucket of ice and never showed up, but I moved a bottle of Evian water and I got a charge in my invoice. The restaurant staff at morning was great, very nice attitude and of course the rooftop view is unique.”

“I absolutely loved my stay here. The location is perfectly close to downtown Los Angeles without being in downtown Los Angeles. There is a gorgeous view of the mountains from the balcony. The staff are all incredibly nice and helpful. The rooms are clean and stocked with basic amenities. And the best part was having a really delicious breakfast to start the day. For just slightly more than a motel 6, why wouldn’t you stay here and actually enjoy your time in the area? I am on a work trip and the Arroyo Vista Inn made it feel more like a vacation.”
