Genwa Korean Bbq (mid Wilshire)
4.5
( 10 reviews ) $$$
Open until 10:00 PM

5115 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036, United States

“Valet parking is $5 and right next to the restaurant, which makes arriving there easy. Food was tasty, but a bit on the pricey side for the quantity of meat per combo and/or side. They do offer a lot of different sides with your order, which is nice. The only complaint was that the seating was really tight near other tables, and those parties were obnoxiously loud even though people were inches apart. Staff was friendly and attentive throughout.”

Joey Manhattan Beach
4.5
( 8 reviews )

3120 N Sepulveda Blvd, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, United States

“This was quite possibly the most disappointing dinner I've ever had. I had heard good things about JOEY and wanted to give it a try. To start the appetizer we ordered, it was sent to the wrong table, so there was an extended wait for it to arrive. We ordered the sake glazed fish, which was Chilean Sea Bass, and the steak & sushi with the add for filet mignon. First, the Chilean sea bass was undercooked and had a strong fishy taste to it. Fresh fish shouldn't taste fishy. The filet mignon I ordered medium, and it was well done with very little pink. Most of the pieces were gray. The service was below standard as well. When all I was drinking was water and my glass was empty, I shouldn't have to ask for it to be refilled. One last thing, and I know this may not matter to anyone else, but when you're paying this much, why are cloth napkins not used?”

Goku Korean Bbq & Hot Pot
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

3085 Meridian Ave, San Jose, CA 95124, United States

“In general this is an ok Korean BBQ. Maybe the hotpot is better? We had to wait for two hours when we signed in so we drove home, 30mins later we got a text that we were next on line. Worried we would lose our spot we drove over quickly and we're still able to get in. They had a weird system with the drinks that you had to order with the waiter, everything else through the tablet. This would not have been an issue but all of the workers were always running around and are hard to get their attention. The servers gave off a stressed vibe so I assume understaffed? Our food came at a good rate and was tasty. The sauce area had a lot of options but not all of the small bowls were clean. We got some shitaki mushrooms and they were very hard to eat. During the whole meal they had music blaring so it was not possible for us to talk with each other. We also got a large table for two people so we felt really far from each other. Overall not my favorite Korean BBQ place in the bay but not at a bad price.”

Beverly Soon Tofu Restaurant
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

2717 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006, United States

“Came here on a Monday night putting ourselves on the Yelp waitlist before we came. The place is quite small but it seats a decent amount of people. Food: The tofu soup is quite average, but I really liked the mixed bean rice and the potato appetizer. Other than that, the rest of the dining experience was alright but it wasn’t extremely special. I got the mushroom and beef tofu soup. The mushroom was a little bit overwhelming in taste. Service: Food came in around 20 minutes and appetizers in 5. The great part is that the appetizers are unlimited! Ambiance: Super packed and casual place. By any means, this wasn’t a bad place to go, but wasn’t super great by my tofu soup standards.”

Manna Bbq
4.4
( 10 reviews ) $$
Open until 09:30 PM

740 Nordahl Rd, San Marcos, CA 92069, United States

“Love all the beef & pork meat plus the sides. The steamed egg, not so much, too watery. The restrooms could use a little upgrade and cleaning.. also the hallway going to the restrooms. Food, I'll give it 4 1/2 stars Service, 5 stars Cleanliness, 3 stars”

Gangnam Tofu Korean Cuisine
4.5
( 8 reviews ) $$

11740 San Pablo Ave Suite C, El Cerrito, CA 94530, United States

“The food at this Korean restaurant is quite good. We ordered stone pot bibimbap and fried chicken. The stone pot bibimbap was decent, and the fried chicken was very crispy. Additionally, the side dishes were impressive, especially the eggplant and broccoli. It's worth mentioning that the restaurant was quite crowded, but there were relatively few servers, and they were not very attentive.”

Seoul Soondubu - Korean Bbq

“Decent place to have good Korean food - I tried the beef bulgogi lunch and it was good”

Grams Bbq-tabletop Grill
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$

8902 Garden Grove Blvd, Garden Grove, CA 92844, United States

“Ate at Grams for the first time. My friend chose this place to dine at. I’m usually a creature of habit and stick to my go to favorite KBBQ joints: Zip in Tustin, or Shik Do Rak. I was pleased with the dining experience here. Food quality and choices of meat options were great based on the menu set options. We went with the Premium AYCE B menu. It was good. My favorites were the sliced beef belly, sliced brisket, and sliced beef tongue. Servers were nice and attentive. Will be returning to Grams in the future.”

Chon Tree Timep
4.4
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 09:00 PM

4373 Convoy St, San Diego, CA 92111, United States

“Food is AMAZING. Definitely authentic Korean taste. The atmosphere is a lot like the Korean vibe you see in movies and online - very casual and a lot of ambient noise. This is easily my sister and my new favorite Korean place. Highly recommend the dolsot bibimpap and "ox" bone soup (galbitang). Just a head's up but the parking lot is a little sketchy at times. 😂”

Daeho Kalbi Jjim & Beef Soup
4.4
( 8 reviews )

217 W Calaveras Blvd, Milpitas, CA 95035, United States

“It is one of my favorite Korean restaurants. Cheese galbijjim is very famous, but I visit occasionally to eat the Suyuk. Chadol Yanggi Suyuk is so light and delicious that there is no place to follow it. There is a long wait, but if you go with 2 people, you are lucky enough to get a table quickly.”

Gaja Korean Bbq
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$
Open until 03:00 PM

2693 Vista Way, Oceanside, CA 92054, United States

“Best Korean Barbecue. The staff is really nice and robots bring your food! They have many meat options and yummy sides. They have a lunch special m-f for $22.99 and dinner and weekends for $30.99. Highly recommend!”

Rice Junky - Santa Clara (korean Restaurant)
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$

2089 El Camino Real, Santa Clara, CA 95050, United States

“My wife and I recently enjoyed a fantastic dining experience at this Korean-American restaurant. The food was fresh, delicious, and had a touch of American flavor. I had the BBQ pork with kimchi rice, which had an amazing smoky flavor. The aroma of the grill was enticing, reminiscent of charcoal-cooked kabobs. My wife loved her crispy and delicious chicken bowl. The restaurant's ambiance was great, with BTS-style pictures adorning the walls. The restroom was exceptionally clean and well-equipped, offering dental and women's care products. It's a rare find in San Jose to have a late-night dining option, making this place even more appealing. Overall, it's an amazing restaurant that combines tasty food, a trendy atmosphere, and convenient hours. Highly recommended!”

Peony Palace

Janchi Korean Bbq & Bar
4.3
( 8 reviews ) $$

165 N Moorpark Rd, Thousand Oaks, CA 91360, United States

“I had high hopes for this Korean BBQ. It was only ok. There were only 3 sides and the staff didn't seem to know much about the food. The space is large with loud TVs. The food was only ok. Pro Tip- Bring a lot of friends just for the fun of a Korean BBQ.”

Shila Korean Bbq
4
( 10 reviews ) $$
Open until 02:30 PM

2760 W Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 93711, United States

“I go there for lunch with a buddy of mine and everything was delicious. The only cons is the pork belly cuts are sloppy and very small wish they can make the cut better and bigger so it wont just look like a mess throw in my plate and really annoying to try cook every small little pieces at the grill because it also too thin and burn easily before everything cook evenly.”

Kogi Gogi Bbq
4.2
( 8 reviews ) $$

1358 9th Ave, San Francisco, CA 94122, United States

“My family and I ate here on 1/31/22 for dinner. We stuck with the all-you-can-eat selections and what they had was good. My family had a good time. I didn't like that the radish wrap had oranges in it. The service was good. Once you wave at someone; they will quickly come to see if you need anything after they dealt with their immediate task. We had a party of 8 so we had two cooking stoves - split into four people per stove.”

Jeon Ju Korean Bibimbap Restaurant
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

2716 W Olympic Blvd Ste #101, Los Angeles, CA 90006, United States

“Jeon Ju Korean Bibimbap Restaurant offers the best bibimbap in Los Angeles, hands down. The dish is made with high-quality ingredients and cooked to perfection, making it a standout in terms of taste and presentation. The bibimbap is incredibly flavorful, with a mix of savory and sweet tastes that work together to create a satisfying and delicious meal. The rice is perfectly cooked and has the right amount of stickiness, while the vegetables are fresh and crisp. The egg on top is cooked just right, adding a creamy and rich element to the dish. Jeon Ju Korean Bibimbap Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking for the best bibimbap in Los Angeles. The dish is made with care and precision, resulting in an incredibly satisfying and delicious meal that is not to be missed.”

Saucy Asian
4.4
( 8 reviews )

3801 17th St, San Francisco, CA 94114, United States

“Service: The worker was a bit short with us but did offer to give us an extra popsicle since the one we wanted was out of stock after we paid. Atmosphere: The place is small and cute and clean. The door is left open so people come and go and you can definitely people watch if you’re into that. Food: The katsu was honestly all breading and no meat. It was so thin that it felt like I was just eating crisp with nothing else. While I liked the crisp, I would’ve enjoyed some juicy pork meat inside as well. The sauce was good and the rice was good as well. My friend got the bibimbap and she would give it a 7.5/10. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t amazing, the spicy pork in it was really good though! The watermelon popsicle was very cute but taste wise was mid. The shark popsicle was fire and I would definitely get that one again.”
