“Staff was amazing and welcoming. Complementary breakfast was good, 10yr old loved making own waffle. I enjoyed the available coffee all day. Room was very clean and spacious. Views of bay. It being comic con weekend, hotel was busy but room was quiet and everyone friendly. As a gold member, received Complementary waters and choice of snake that daughter got to pick and front desk gal made her feel special. I look forward to staying again and taking advantage of the pool.”

“The rooms are nice. The gym is about normal, they have a cable machine without a lot of attachments and dumbbells up to 50lb. It's centrally located in Hollywood to many attractions. The surrounding area is pretty rough though. I parked on the street overnight with no issues. The parking meters go from 9am to 7pm.”

“The first misstep of this hotel was the female who greeted me. (I won’t say her name) She was rude, short with me, and overall seemed irritated. I get to my room and use the restroom. Only to find out the toilet is broken. I go down to the desk to let them know and they “upgraded” me to a bigger room. It’s nearly midnight. No offer to help moving my bags, no offer for a refund. So I basically got a working toilet and a bigger bed with an AC that sounded like a semi truck.”

“I returned here because of good previous experiences. This time was not good. It began with a room that had no desk lamp. Instead of just finding me a lamp, she gave me a different room. It was 30-40 minutes before I could even unload into my room after a 650-mile drive. This hotel wasn't even on the way for me but I wanted to stay somewhere safe and nice, because that's how i remembered it. The next room I got was filthy. The carpet wasn't vacuumed. The floor wasn't washed. There was even blood on the carpet. The vent screens in the A/C unit were black and hadn't been washed in a long time. The bed wasn't comfortable. The breakfast wasn't as good as other La Quinta locations. For $140, I expect better than a Motel 6 quality. The manager should've either comped the room or given me a 50% discount. By the way, I'm a Diamond member and had to remind her to give me the free bottle of water (woohoo - a $0.50 bottle on a $140 room).”

“Just came back from a two-night stay. Property is located on the other side of the rail tracks so it's not super convenient to walk downtown, but is still doable. Hotel is extremely clean and architecturally interesting as a converted silk mill. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are not the largest, but plenty big. Strangely, there are no drawers for clothes and the closet is very small, so unless you are a minimalist, you'll probably need to keep belonging in your suitcase. The bed was very comfy and the room temp was constant and we never needed to adjust the temp. We were in Room 202 and never heard any street noise. The shower is amazing. Breakfast was very good and fresh and the dining room is very large, allowing one to linger. The gym, though small, is spotless and wasn't being used the both times I was there. Would recommend to anyone in the area and wouldn't think twice about staying there again.”

”Loved this place! The balcony view is gorgeous. I felt like we were in a hallmark movie with the cute fishing town. We could hear the sea lions from our room! Our kids loved watching the boats make their way out of the cove all morning. We ended up asking if we could check out later because we had such a great time in this cute town and didn’t want to leave. The only downside was the water got cold fast while taking a shower but that still doesn’t change the 5 star review as we were so obsessed with this cute place and the view.”

”The cleanest motel I've ever stayed in. Nicely decorated, super comfy bed. Lots of water pressure in the shower. Nice pool area with a fire feature. Guests get 40% off in the coffee shop. Convenient location to freeway and Imperial Beach. The 7 mile casino next door has excellent food. My only suggestion, patio heaters on the coffe shop patio would be a great addition. The view of the wetlands is very nice.”

”Avoid until they fix the smell. The whole building stinks of mildew and moisture. I switched rooms, still stank as did the hallways. The staff is 5/5 very helpful and it's obviously not their fault, corporate needs to rectify the smell immediately before allowing people to book nights. I lasted 2 nights out of a booked 7.”

”The rooms were clean. The accommodations are very simple. Coffee maker, refrigerator & microwave in our room. The place is pet-friendly for 25$ fee. That’s the main reason we chose this property. They gave us a bag of treats and poop bag carrier upon arrival. I would recommend a sound machine for your stay. You could easily hear other guests in their rooms above you.”

”Three of my rings were accidentally left in our room. We called them as soon as I realized I had forgotten them. The staff searched our room and found all three. They sent them to me the following business day. They even added some sweet treats! Our room was exceptionally clean and the staff was friendly and attentive. We were weren’t sure what to expect due to how reasonably priced the suite was. We were extremely pleased with our accommodations and would stay again.”

The location means you're fairly far from any other services (restaurant, groceries, pharmacy etc) but it also means you get a lot of privacy and incredible views. excellent no frills place to stay to appreciate the beauty of nature and unplug for a while.”

”Our stay here was pleasant with the location being so near to the cannery row and our room came with a side view of the ocean. They provided continental breakfast with pancakes, cereals, fruits, yogurt, muffins, cinnamon rolls, omlette and some meat. The parking was in a garage so that’s a plus. The rooms and bathrooms were pretty clean for double bed rooms. There are elevators to go to your rooms but you still catch stairs on the way so if you need accessible assistance, talk to them. The staff were friendly and efficient. Overall good stay for us.”

Beautiful property, with heated bathroom floors, windows in the bathroom (a personal favorite), beautiful sunset ocean views, patios, fully equipped mini kitchens (microwave and fridge), cute and cozy interiors, heated pool and sauna, and fresh pastry breakfast by the fireplace. Easy street parking and short walk to nearby cafes. The experience exceeded my expectations! We'd stay here again.”
