“Having this park practically in my back yard has been a godsend ever since I moved to Calistoga.Even after the fires,this is the best place to take a "Forest Bath". The hike to coyote peak offers a spectacular view of the valley from the top. A fun outdoor pool during the summer and campsites, picnic areas, clean showers and bathrooms... and they have yurts! ( if you book ahead ).The trails go back about a mile or so and there are redwoods, bay and live oak trees to marvel at during your exploration. Go for it!”

“Location is in a nice spot, run down in need of cleaning and repair. RV site is nice, however, we were not notified that during the colder months water is shut off, nothing stated on website. Arrived on a Tuesday when offices are closed, no water, no token machine for showers. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be returning.”

”The most incredible views of any campground I’ve ever been to. Every single site has a view of the ocean. We stayed at site 7 which was a bit small, really only room for one tent and no shade. But we did have privacy from our neighbors. Everyone respected the quiet hours which was absolutely amazing. I wish the campground made a shortcut trail to the bathroom because taking the road is rather long from our site. It’s a vault toilet, no sink, it’s kept fairly clean and always stocked. We took the extremely overgrown trail (starts next to site 9) to the beach. It was worth the effort but definitely cover your extremities. I hope they clean it up at some point. The camp host was a very nice man. They sell bundles of wood for $15, but we grabbed ours in Cambria for half the price (the camp host didn’t stay overnight but was available 9-6). Raccoons run wild at night and want your food so beware. One tried to open our cooler. Keep food in your car and take out your trash to the available cans. We only stayed two nights but I wish we had more time because it was so incredible. The sunset, stargazing, the hikes, all of it was magnificent.”

”What a gem! Peaceful backwoods resort with multiple opens of lodging. 1 hour drive to Yosemite Valley/Tunnel View area. We stayed in 2 bed cabin and it had everything, including Bluetooth speaker and board game. Camp store was decently priced. Meadows great for walking dog off leash. We woke to a deer by the cabin! The pool is quite a walk. Hosts were super communicative. Decently priced. Kid friendly and free bike rentals and games!”

”This is our second time in a month staying here in Cabin 1! The resort is lovely and peaceful, with onsite bait shop and Mexican restaurant. The cabin is very cozy and comfortable, with a little kitchen, dinette and large fridge. The property is well taken care of and the lady at the front desk is a gem… taking very good care of us with checking! We also met the property owner who made sure our cabin was ready and turned on the heat! The location to town and the Delta is perfect!”

”Beautiful smaller Oceanside campground. Road in unpaved, long, dusty and narrow in places, but worth the drive if you are in a car or van. Nice clean individual bathrooms and shower stalls with plenty of hot water. No hookups. Ocean on one side and forested cliffs on the other side. Shrubbery and foliage provides privacy between sites. Plus our lifetime national parks pass was honored here, so it was the cheapest state park we’ve camped at during our journey up the California coast. Very nice!”

”Cool campground and would be better if they had showers situated on the grounds. It is close enough to food options and small stores so if you’re in a pinch and forget some items, you aren’t far away. People respected the quiet times which was nice because I have small children and there are grounds keepers who go around to ensure that people are respectful. The vault toilet is absolutely disgusting and it makes it hard to do your business in there because it feels like you’re in a gas chamber. Recommend bringing a portable toilet aka bucket and lid toilet! Would have been much better than the vault!”
