“There are resorts, and then there is the Dolphin Bay Resort. Over my years, of which are plenty, I have stayed at many fine resorts, and while most of them had great service and beautiful grounds, the staff at the Dolphin Bay Resort make this place extra special. Of course, I have had the benefit of receiving fine service at a number of fine and expensive resorts at which I have stayed over my life, but I have never actually encountered staff of this nature. You see, at most places, staff assists you and they try to ensure that the stay is pleasant, (if not amazing when such times occur); but you never really get to know them as people. It's a passing, if you will. You never really feel a sense of belonging. This is not the same for the Dolphin Bay Resort because there you feel like a family member of those there to ensure that your stay is amazing. When I placed my reservation, I met Kyle. Kyle is a wonderful young man who shared my enthusiasm for an event that had to be perfect. Kyle not only listened to my needs; but he went out of his way to ensure that my suite would be the perfect suite for my event, and it really was the perfect suite. Not simply because it was beautiful, (because it was beautiful); but mostly because of the energy Kyle took to not only listen to my story, but to then take that information to match me with the perfect suite, and it was the perfect suite thanks to Kyle and the rest of the staff at the Dolphin Bay Resort over the course of our stay. As I scheduled the reservation significantly in advance of our stay, I wanted to confirm some of the particulars. It was at this time that I met Cody, who not only assured me that everything would be perfect; but he was also able to extend our reservation as a result of a late change in our travel plans. We would later meet Cody in person, who was just as amazing as he was when he accommodated our late change in our travel plans. Upon arriving at the Resort, we were met by Jay, a great bellhop beaming with smiles and kindness. I thereafter finally met Kyle in person, who once again assured me that everything would be handled to perfection, and I mean everything, and which it was. Later during the stay, we met Delaney, a wonderfully charming young woman who we also spent time getting to know. We also met Patrick, a delightful fellow who was always accommodating and always ensured that our vacation was going amazingly well. In addition to getting to know the staff, I also got to meet their supervisor, Lisa, who was also remarkable and accommodating, ensuring that the main event planned out by Kyle would go as planned. Kyle even took time while he was off to ensure that the main event went according to plan. This, my friends, is the very definition of commitment to your craft. Now back to how you are treated like family. I got to know each and every person with whom we interacted. I do not mean like a "Hey, do you live locally?" sort of thing, I mean we got to actually know about them. We learned about their lives and their families; their commitment their jobs and their futures. While their stories are theirs to tell, not mine, it was their vulnerability to share about themselves that made each of them individually special and also made the stay feel more like you were staying with family instead of being tended to by superficially trained and robotic staff only appearing concerned with what their tip might be. The staff at the Dolphin Bay Resort endeavor to make everyone who stays at the Dolphin Bay Resort feel special, which they all did effortlessly because they were real people with real lives and a real commitment to ensuring that when you stay with them, you are staying with family, without the family drama, of course. Thank you Kyle, Cody, Jay, Delaney, Patrick, and Lisa, (and to any other staff member I may have forgotten in this list) for the most amazing stay.”

Beach is right across the street, food and shopping is all a walking distance. Clean rooms with beautiful views, and a hot tub on the roof overlooking the Del and beach. Perfection! Complimentary breakfast, Starbucks less than 5 min walk from hotel, beautiful walking path along the coastal waterway. Beautiful quite time walk, with a coffee at sunrise. Lots of benches along the way to enjoy the sited. There were 3 of us on the trip and our room was two bedrooms with two baths and a terrace very reasonably priced.”

”This was a beautiful campground. The sites were paved and level and not too close together. The grass between the sites was so lush, it almost looked fake. You can't put any mats on the grass and chairs need to be removed when not in use so that the grass stays that way. They have pull thru sites in the center but if you don't mind backing in, the perimeter sites have fantastic views of the surrounding canyons. There is a grassy area that surrounds the perimeter sites that is great for group get togethers if you have adjoining sites. They also provide a shuttle about every 20 minutes that stops directly at each campsite to take you to the casino. The only negative that we experienced was that the clubhouse was closed due to construction. They are trying to nearly double the size of the campground. Construction noise started at 7am even on Saturday. When booking a campsite you may want to know if they will still be doing construction.”

She made our experience from beginning to end FANTASTIC! Not only do I feel like she gave us the best corner room in the whole place as an upgrade, but she did everything with a smile and a great attitude! Thank you Mialani for providing a memorable weekend for us. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and spacious. The elevators worked well. The breakfast provided lots of options. We even spent quite some time at the outside bar and they were kind enough to make sure we were warm during our time outside. I will definitely be staying here next time we are in San Diego. ”I booked a last-minute full-day ride with the Kennedy Meadows Pack Station, and the resort was fantastic with accommodating me. I called the morning of, and they were able to fit me in with one of their packers, Emma. She was a fantastic guide, and we were able to head out from the resort around 9:30am. We went up to the reservoir, checked out one of the meadows, and to finish out the trip, we even got to see a waterfall! Throughout the trip, she was able to tell me about the pack station and even about the local flora and fauna. I highly recommend booking a trip with her, she made the ride so much fun! I would definitely love to book a trip out of Kennedy Meadows in the future. All of the staff were wonderful, and I couldn't recommend booking a trip or a ride out of there more highly.”

”We found our home away from home when visiting my family. We love that we can visit my home town but have a place to ourselves. The price isn't bad either. You get a whole apartment! The service has always been great. The rooms are a little outdated, but they said they are remodeling the rooms in 2024! The front lobby area just finished remodeling, and it's beautiful! 😍 we've stayed twice now (both 1 bedrooms) and have been super happy both times. This time, we got to use the fireplace. The 1st log each night was free, which was super nice. The. Views from both rooms were great. Very quiet day and night. Occasional kids playing or riding bikes that get loud but nothing too crazy. Made it feel more homey to me. Plus, they have a very cute resident cat that greets you at the front 😊 All and all a super great family or couple place to stay at. Short term or long term!”

”The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The sites are about as tight as can be. The restrooms are nice and clean. This is validly a resort because it has all of the amenities and in reasonable quality but it is by no means a high end resort. All of the RVs and park models are in good shape and presentable. There are practically no barking dogs or noisy campers. I don't know how they do it but they keep the place pretty peaceful. That doesn't mean it is quite, there are two roads one used to access a quarry which looms over the camp ground and dump trucks and jake brakes are not uncommon. I have always heard gunfire around the resort also, sometimes from several directions. They accept packages, you can wash your RV on week days and although there are no trails available from the park it isn't a very long drive to state parks and forest service trails.”

”The room was nice and very clean. It had a full service kitchen, a living area and separate bedroom. My only issue is that where we happened to stay, our upstairs neighbors were SO LOUD all night. I could hear them stomping around their room starting at 11am. It sounded like they were moving boxes, rearranging the furniture and closing cabinets as hard as possible. Then, at 4am, they started playing music. It only lasted for 10-15 minutes but I could literally feel the vibrations through the walls. Of course by the time security could come and ask them to keep it down, they were as silent as possible... I called the front desk at 1am and their automated phone service said no one could take my call. I called again at 4 when they started playing music and was able to get someone on the line. The employee was super nice and helpful. I found out that the suite above us was a "private suite", meaning it's someone's vacation home basically. If you stay here, make sure you're on the top floor or there's no one near you. We went Monday to Wednesday the first week everyone is back in school so we were really shocked by the noise issue. I would expect this on a busy weekend but not the weekday.”
