Rubber-cal
4.8
( 8 reviews )

18424 Mt Langley St, Fountain Valley, CA 92708, United States

“Good, durable, imported coconut coir fiber mat by Rubber-Cal. I like the adequate size of the product which is larger than my previous mat but not too big. I like the cool doggie-themed print which is welcoming to any pet person. The fibers are well attached and densely formed over the sturdy rubber backing. I recommend standing on its edge to dry out after rain which also allows the space where you lay it to dry. It does shed small fiber hairs which get tracked inside perhaps due being new and having to break in.”

“In my experience they make getting help if you're homeless just about impossible! You call, you get an answering machine and it tells you that you need to get an appointment, to get an appointment you have to call between these TWO specific hours on this SPECIFIC day. Then you're told that there ARE NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE AGAIN, at this time!! Really?! When you're homeless, if it's specifically Monday, and you're calling on a Tuesday, 6 days away, before it's Monday again and you can call AGAIN to get told AGAIN that there are NO APPOINTMENTS, seems an eternity!!! I would NEVER HAVE THOUGHT that I would become homeless, but sometimes life throws you a curveball, I now have a brand new understanding of what the homeless people go through and my heart GOES OUT TO THEM! God bless them!! There really is JUST NO HELP FOR THE HOMELESS. So be understanding to them!! When you're out there in the same clothes you have been in for weeks and months, having ONLY WHAT YOU CAN CARRY AROUND WITH YOU, You become so hopeless and frustrated and you go to the internet looking for every organization that you possibly can that gives you SO MUCH MISINFORMATION, and you need to go HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE TO HAVE "INTAKES", and you don't have a car either, and you can't even scrape together enough coins to take a bus or light rail so you miss the INTAKE appointment...So you START OVER and call, tell them you're situation, how DESPITE AND FRIGHTENED AND HUNGRY AND TIRED AND DISAPPOINTED YOU ARE...So here you are again, making ANOTHER appointment hoping that on that day you'll have enough change to take a bus. Yada Yada, YADA!!!! Be KIND TO THE HOMELESS PEOPLE YOU SEE ON THE STREET!!! Say "HI, HOW YOU DOIN?! ACKNOWLEDGE THEM!!! SMILE FOR THEM!!! THEY ARE JUST LIKE THE REST OF US, EXCEPT LIFE THREW THIS HORRIFIC, FRIGHTENING, HOPELESS, CURVEBALL AT THEM!!! THEY'RE DOING THE BEST THAT THEY CAN!! Nobody, NOBODY WANTS TO BE LIVING IN THE STREETS, PARKS, UNDERPASSES, SHOPPING CENTERS ETC!! They are doing the best that they can but it really IS a hopeless situation!!@”

Alameda County Community Food Bank
4.8
( 16 reviews )

7900 Edgewater Dr, Oakland, CA 94621, United States

“I came here as a volunteer and sign up was seamless. I went to their site online and chose the time that fits my schedule. I volunteered for the morning session but you can do both to include the afternoon. You must make a reservation to volunteer ahead of time as they do not accept drop ins. There are several ways you can volunteer, I chose the produce sorting. If it's your first time here, you will need to arrive 15 minutes early and spend about 10-15 minutes for their new volunteer orientation. There is a 15 minutes break between 8:30am - 12pm morning shift. The last 30 minutes of your shift will consist of cleanup for the next volunteers. You will be assigned a lead volunteer to get you familiarize with your task and I must say, they were amazing. I would also like to say that the whole staff here were fantastic and extremely very helpful. I would highly recommend them if you're looking to give back to the community. Cheers!”

Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center
4.4
( 10 reviews )

2626 E Katella Ave, Anaheim, CA 92806, United States

“You see the Stark difference whenever you get out of Los Angeles. As soon as I got to the center I could see it was clean, there's actually a clean bathroom and it was quiet and there were not many people around. It was great! There is a small food space downstairs and it's overpriced of course.... There are not as many buses as there are in LA and it's in a fairly remote location so, you know, make sure you have your transportation out of there squared away....”

“If you want to do any paperwork or procedure regarding commercial driver license, this is the place. Even though, when you arrived at the window, they had an actitud of control over you. They are a public servants, should not come to work with that actitud. We are here for the service and because you'll need to accelerate de process. Management team please check your workers, make sure they received proper training. The bureaucracy in government buildings is at the most splendor shine. Their intentions are good, but lack of knowledge is horrible. One person say something different, that the other person. Besides that little manor issue, I received the procedure of my license on time, and I appreciate that because you are the commercial center in the south of LA. 👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁👁”

Stanislaus County Library

“Good location. Inside, some tables under the high ceiling lack lighting in my opinion. Wish table lamps could be placed there. Otherwise, the librarians are very helpful and professional. The library is well stocked and has access to computers. Security personnel most appreciated.”
