“Took in the “Dear San Francisco” show, absolutely loved the venue in this iconic and historic building.. Definitely a highlight of the 2023 holiday celebrations! Talented acrobatic performers who engage their audience's with light hearted banter. Closing musical was so touching, truly inspiring! Don’t miss this performance, so uplifting!”

“Oh my, what a treasure City Guide Tours is! We went on 3 this visit and each one was fabulous! I do not remember all of our tour guides names except Gail, but the 3 women were amazing! They were each so well organized, researched and friendly. If you want to see and/or learn about San Francisco I cannot think of a better way. I wish we had known about these tours on previous visits. The tours are all donation based so folks of all income levels can participate and give according to their ability. What a gift and resource this volunteer tour program is!”

Garden Amp

( 16 reviews )

12762 Main St, Garden Grove, CA 92840, United States

“It's a small venue with great sound and no bad seat. Lots of security personel ( I was a little worried about that since it was an all ages event ) street parking so get there early. It didn't get 5 stars because of the restroom 😁 …”

Dorothy Chandler Pavilion
4.7
( 8 reviews )

135 N Grand Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90012, United States

“Beautiful venue for operas and operas. The supertitles were clear and the place was very clean. Even though we were seated very high up for our matinee of the Barber of Seville, we had a good view of the stage. My specific seat was a bit obscured by the railing but that made my ticket cheaper, so I was cool with it. Parking is $10 all day on weekends and in the evenings in the garage, or you can try to find metered spots. Theres a courtyard with tables outside of the venue so you can have a little picnic or opt to eat at one of the many nearby restaurants. Ushers are nice. Bathrooms are available only on stage right at the top floor. There were elevator banks but most people took the stairs. You can preorder food and drinks for intermission. Seats were a bit narrow but still comfortable.”

The Ford
4.8
( 16 reviews )

2580 Cahuenga Blvd E, Los Angeles, CA 90068, United States

“Beautiful theatre with the perfect size for great shows. There's a parking lot but taking an Uber works to get to the venue but you might have some trouble getting home afterwards. They sell (rather costly) drinks but you're allowed to bring your own!”

The Bob Hope Theatre
4.6
( 10 reviews )

242 E Main St, Stockton, CA 95202, United States

”Attended "Brit Floyd" concert. Excellent show!!!! Plenty of parking around venue. Beautiful Theatre. Plenty of leg room and the seats were very comfortable.”

California Theatre
4.7
( 8 reviews )

345 S 1st St, San Jose, CA 95113, United States

”The California Theater, located right in downtown San Jose, is a great place to see a show! I saw a Tech Roast and was on the first floor, which had pretty good seats. Audio is great as well! The entire location is GORGEOUS. The tasteful decorations and ambient lighting elevates your experience. There are clean, standard bathrooms on site, and the staff is very welcoming and lovely. They will keep your food and help you get to your seat while being chatty and friendly.”

Regal Promenade

( 8 reviews )

550 Deep Valley Dr Suite 336, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274, United States

”It's a very calm and quiet place but also it was a holiday so perhaps it's normally busier. They had nice decorations around to take some holiday photos. The environment was friendly. I was very happy to see so many POC it made me feel welcomed. I never have before but we were at the cinema to see "The Color Purple," movie. So the atmosphere was very happy, cheery and united. It felt beautiful. The movie was awesome. They were many shops but they weren't open due to the holiday. ⭐⭐ There's an ice skating rink on the first floor towards the center of the shopping center. - The was an available Restaurant open for dining on the first floor on the opposite end. Then young lady who was the hostess that afternoon was polite, super sweet and had great customer service. She gave people directions to the movies theaters. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Cinema Staff: Seemed Polite/No amazing customer service but not bad customer service either. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Down points: The seats worked well and lounged back although we my party and I sat in row H at the top the leather seat were peeling everywhere. Perhaps they're older. They were cracking. You could tell when they turned the lights on or when I shined a light to look for something I had dropped. ⭐⭐ They didn't look like the websites profile seats. ⭐⭐⭐ The Movie The actual Color Purple Movie was incredible. Would definitely watch multiple times. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Getting to the Cinema/Theater: • Directory near restaurant opposite wind of cinema/theater • Available parking garage • Elevators on premises (quickest/nearest option) • Escalators on premises (all weren't working) • Stairs on premises if you want a little work out • Wheelchair accessible In Theater/Cinema: • Bathroom near entrance towards the right • Concession stand towards the left upon entering • Photo booth towards the right - I think there were a few games in that area as well”

Humphrey's Concerts By The Bay

Close until 11:30 AM

2241 Shelter Island Dr, San Diego, CA 92106, United States

”First time at Humphrey's for The Teskey Brothers, and it was beautiful. Great venue, parking was very easy ( which is not usually the case in San Diego), and the entrance was very well organized and quick access to inside the venue. Drinks were normal priced, staff very friendly, and we ( my wife and I) had an absolutely great time! The fake grass ( lawn area) was well taken care of, and the stage was very easy to see from anywhere you wanted to stand. The sound was superb, and the show was unforgettable. We will definitely be coming back.”

Vibrato Grill Jazz
4.6
( 8 reviews )

2930 Beverly Glen Cir, Los Angeles, CA 90077, United States

”This is a perfect/not so hidden Jem.💎 It's definitely a great place to come for a date night or simply just a special night out. Plan in advance and reserve at least a week ahead if you want to ensure good seating. No reservation is needed if it's at the bar. The atmosphere is vibrant, modern, cozy, and relaxing, with a hint of fine dining all at the same time. Service was fast without compromising the quality of our food and drinks. You can come with kids, but I wouldn't recommend it. This is more for date night or a special gathering amongst friends. Not many places have live Jazz music now a days. It's great to have found a place that is still doing it right. 😎 🎷 DEFINITELY ADD THIS TO YOUR BUCKET LIST! 👌👌👌👌”

Mccallum Theatre
4.6
( 8 reviews )

73000 Fred Waring Dr, Palm Desert, CA 92260, United States

”We purchased expensive front row center seats for Coco movie with live orchestra. This facility didn’t indicate these were seats with obstructed view. Could not see the characters or the subtitles. See the photo below, this was our view, the people next to us left during intermission. I wrote the theatre and never received any kind of reply. Tells me what kind of folks run this operation.”

Largo At The Coronet
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

366 N La Cienega Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90048, United States

”Really great venue work good amenities, seats, and a nice waiting area pre show. There's parking on site, but it locks up for the night 30 mins after the venue closes, so move your car immediately. Parking is difficult to see headed south but is right next to the venue. The staff is super efficient and friendly. There are only two small bathrooms, FYI. Good refreshment options and a nice outdoor courtyard enfolded into the venue.”

Cal Performances
4.7
( 10 reviews )

101 Zellerbach Hall, Berkeley, CA 94720, United States

”I have been going to Cal Performances since I was a kid and I really appreciate the diversity of performers they bring in. There really is something for everyone. I hope they continue on for decades! The arts are so important! Zellerbach is great. They are back to serving alcohol/drinks and snacks. I suppose parking is a negative -- they open the lot under the hall and down by the RSF. I didn't see how much they charge since it was a night show and we were able to find free 2 hour parking on the street but that is something to take into account.”

Geffen Playhouse
4.7
( 8 reviews )

10886 Le Conte Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90024, United States

”Really pretty venue- interior is so nice. And the outdoor space is nice. Staff super friendly. Not sure if there was a water fountain or not- I didn't see one. Cons- only had one ticket agent for purchasing tickets, other was for will call only. This led to a somewhat long line. And the seats were really narrow from armrest to armrest. The legroom was good but they had also added 2 rows of seating at the front so even in the "strictly 2nd" row, half of the stage was blocked as those seats were all on level floor (not descending in height). So, hoping they redo the seating and ticketing window.”

August Hall
4.6
( 10 reviews )

420 Mason St, San Francisco, CA 94102, United States

”This is by far the list beautiful music venue I've been to! Great size which keeps the shows intimate, helpful staff.”

Lesher Center For The Arts
4.7
( 8 reviews )

1601 Civic Dr, Walnut Creek, CA 94596, United States

”Great place to see the performing arts. Everyone put on a great performance tonight. On a side note: Please remember this is not a "Movie" theater. Please bring age appropriate children because they will be scared of the loud special effects. Lastly please just follow the rules and put your phones away. It ruins the experience when the staff has to shoosh your kids. Limited wheelchair seating if you can not transfer, the accessible seats are only if you can transfer out of your wheelchair.”

Alex Theatre
4.6
( 10 reviews )

216 N Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91203, United States

”Great theatre, saw some of the best speakers there. Open layout and was able to have a good view and hear clearly from the top row on the second level and also when I went down to the back row on the first level!”

Frost Amphitheater
4.7
( 16 reviews )

351 Lasuen St, Stanford, CA 94305, United States

”How is it possible that I went to Santa Clara University and have spent time at Stanford along with living in the area since 1984 and I’ve never been to the Frost Amphitheater? This venue is simply spectacular. I love the trees lining the sides of the seating area and unlike the Greek Theatre, the grass areas are gently sloped for comfortable seating. The sound quality is excellent though it’s definitely not loud towards the back which is good or bad depending on how much you like the music. It’s a long drive from Walnut Creek but certainly worth the effort. Plus, parking is convenient and getting out at the end is super easy and fast. Don’t ever go to the Shoreline, be sure to come here instead. I can’t wait to come back again - as soon as another good reggae show comes to town. Michael Delehanty Compass Real Estate.”
