We had a balcony room, but the view was mostly of commercial rooftops. Some of the balconies along the front would be much more attractive. Breakfast was quite slow for only one simple meal, but the food was excellent as was the cappuccino. The rooftop bar has a decent view of the city, but again a lot of commercial rooftops. The rooftop pool has a better view of 1st Street and cozy separate areas to relax. It's more of a splash pool as it is only 6 in deep.”

“We recently stayed at this hotel and, unfortunately, my overall experience was marred by significant issues with billing that have yet to be addressed by the management. The restaurant, though offering a pleasant ambiance, overcharged us on the night of our visit. We promptly paid the amount on our credit card, only to discover later that the same charge had been added to our room bill as well. Despite multiple attempts to reach out to the management via phone calls and emails, there has been no response or effort to rectify this error. Another financial hiccup involved a daily fee for the gym, which was closed during our stay. We were assured a refund, but once again, our attempts to follow up on this matter have gone unanswered. It seems that the hotel is quick to charge for various amenities, even for a simple cup of self-serve coffee in the morning, without providing the promised services. On a positive note, the hotel is well decorated, offering a comfortable and spacious room with a cozy bed. However, the thin walls are a significant drawback, allowing guests to hear everything happening in adjacent rooms. The bathroom, while serviceable, is smaller and somewhat outdated, with a few areas featuring dirty tile floors—more a result of age than neglect. I would hesitate to recommend this hotel, particularly if you plan to visit the restaurant. Be vigilant when checking your bill for accuracy, and be prepared for challenges if you need to dispute any charges. Despite the attractive decor and comfortable rooms, the lack of responsiveness and accountability from the management significantly tarnished my overall impression of this establishment.”

“Best hostel I have been so far! Spacious rooms and bathrooms, everything really well cleaned, comfy mattresses and beds not too squeaky. Big common areas where you can easily socialise but even stay on your own if you prefer. Amazing breakfast with so many options of tea and coffee. Staff really helpful (I had a snoring issue my first night and they changed my room straight away). Be aware they have two private double rooms that aren t online, if you want something like that contact the hostel directly!”

Having a small gas fireplace in the room was a much appreciated bonus. That little fireplace kept the room nice and warm all night while adding a relaxing ambiance the entire time. The bed was clean and super comfortable. The pillows were good! Not your normal pancake thin pillows that don't hold your head up. There was a full closet to store your belongings and hang your clothes. We didn't go down to the hot tub on this trip, but it was hot and ready for anyone who wanted to relax with a snow-covered beach to look at while enjoying it. As another bonus, Heidi's Pancake house is located in the same parking lot. So it is a quick walk from the hotel, and you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot. There are also grocery stores and other places to eat right down the street. The location is great.”

”The room was nice and very clean. It had a full service kitchen, a living area and separate bedroom. My only issue is that where we happened to stay, our upstairs neighbors were SO LOUD all night. I could hear them stomping around their room starting at 11am. It sounded like they were moving boxes, rearranging the furniture and closing cabinets as hard as possible. Then, at 4am, they started playing music. It only lasted for 10-15 minutes but I could literally feel the vibrations through the walls. Of course by the time security could come and ask them to keep it down, they were as silent as possible... I called the front desk at 1am and their automated phone service said no one could take my call. I called again at 4 when they started playing music and was able to get someone on the line. The employee was super nice and helpful. I found out that the suite above us was a "private suite", meaning it's someone's vacation home basically. If you stay here, make sure you're on the top floor or there's no one near you. We went Monday to Wednesday the first week everyone is back in school so we were really shocked by the noise issue. I would expect this on a busy weekend but not the weekday.”
