3801 St Helena Hwy, Calistoga, CA 94515, United States

“Having this park practically in my back yard has been a godsend ever since I moved to Calistoga.Even after the fires, this is the best place to take a "Forest Bath". The hike to coyote peak offers a spectacular view of the valley from the top. A fun outdoor pool during the summer and campsites, picnic areas, clean showers and bathrooms... and they have yurts! ( if you book ahead ).The trails go back about a mile or so and there are redwoods, bay and live oak trees to marvel at during your exploration. Go for it!”

Bakersfield River Run Rv Park

Close until 01:00 PM

3715 Burr St, Bakersfield, CA 93308, United States

“Stayed there last night. This is a really great park. Very clean and convenient to the I5, but without the noise from the I5. The price was really good - we paid more the night before for a parknthat wasn't even in the same league as River Run. The reception lady was also very nice. Highly recommended.”

Jackson Rancheria Rv Park
4.7
( 8 reviews )

11407 Dalton Rd, Jackson, CA 95642, United States

“This was a beautiful campground. The sites were paved and level and not too close together. The grass between the sites was so lush, it almost looked fake. You can't put any mats on the grass and chairs need to be removed when not in use so that the grass stays that way. They have pull thru sites in the center but if you don't mind backing in, the perimeter sites have fantastic views of the surrounding canyons. There is a grassy area that surrounds the perimeter sites that is great for group get togethers if you have adjoining sites. They also provide a shuttle about every 20 minutes that stops directly at each campsite to take you to the casino. The only negative that we experienced was that the clubhouse was closed due to construction. They are trying to nearly double the size of the campground. Construction noise started at 7am even on Saturday. When booking a campsite you may want to know if they will still be doing construction.”

China Peak Mountain Resort

Close until 03:00 PM

59265 CA-168, Lakeshore, CA 93634, United States

”I don't know why I was the last my alarm shot to be served in my party. I have to wonder about establishments where you're supposed to tip before you even received service. I'll always go back and give a cash tip when the service is good. But the brussel sprouts or not cooked enough really crunchy the mashed potatoes were great I had to ask for more gravy because it just didn't give me enough gravy on my turkey plate and they gave me one big hug of turkey not sliced so I needed a knife to carve it up. It just felt like I didn't get as good a service as everyone in my party or everyone else in the restaurant.”

Manchester Beach / Mendocino Coast Koa Journey

”Beautiful campground. All hookups worked well. Grounds and rv sites are spotless. Friendly and helpful staff. A very nice trail is an easy walk to the beach.”

”The camp host was very hostpitable. Seemed to really appreciate us as guests at the RV Park. Bath rooms we're very clean. Campsite was clean. All hook ups were in working order. Campgrounds were well lit. Other guests were very friendly. Made new friends while there.”

Black Rock Canyon Campground
4.5
( 8 reviews )

9800 Black Rock Canyon Rd, Yucca Valley, CA 92284, United States

”I simply love Joshua Tree National Park. Endless hiking opportunities, helpful Ranger staff, and views to die for! If you've never been, you owe it to yourself to visit! I have been both a daytime visitor a couple of years ago, and this time as a camper. All campsites have a picnic table, fire ring, and a charcoal grill. Potable water is available at frequent intervals. There are also dumpsters scattered throughout the campground, as well as a dump station. Generators are allowed 3 times a day...from 7-9am, from 12-2pm, and from 5-7pm. Plenty of sunshine for your solar equipment too! Joshua Tree National Park is just a short drive away.”

Serrano Campground
4.6
( 8 reviews )

40650 N Shore Dr, Fawnskin, CA 92333, United States

”Have been here twice and have loved it. Once tent caning but most recently with my trailer on a tent site and it was spacious. I will say it was the last one available so we got the handicap spot which may be bigger than usual. No direct hook up but there is water fill up and dump station (extra $10 to dump). Hosts were really nice and helpful. Love how close it is to the lake with walking/bike paths. There are plenty of trees around for good shade (and beautiful). Bathrooms were clean and place was pretty quiet. Will most likely come back again.”

Jedediah Smith Campground
4.7
( 8 reviews )

1461 US-199, Crescent City, CA 95531, United States

”The Ranger that checked us in was very helpful - Michael Shaw. He let us go drive around to see what campsite we wanted and when we came back he gave us a bunch of info about hikes and the various redwoods state and national parks. He was incredibly knowledgeable and personable. The campsite itself is almost otherworldly. We had never been to redwoods before and we came in a bit after before dark, so we couldn't see a whole lot. Waking up surrounded by old growth trees and a lush green forest was such an incredible experience. Several hikes were very accessible from the campground itself which was also nice. Be warned, this place is not for big rigs. We were in a truck camper and it was a bit tight. But if you can squeeze in, it is absolutely worth it. No cell service. It also contained the most picturesque dump station I've ever used. Felt like I was a woodland creature dumping our black tank. And there was potable water about 30 feet up from the dump area.”

River Vista
4.6
( 8 reviews )

20 River Vista Dr, Dillard, GA 30537, United States

”The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The sites are about as tight as can be. The restrooms are nice and clean. This is validly a resort because it has all of the amenities and in reasonable quality but it is by no means a high end resort. All of the RVs and park models are in good shape and presentable. There are practically no barking dogs or noisy campers. I don't know how they do it but they keep the place pretty peaceful. That doesn't mean it is quite, there are two roads one used to access a quarry which looms over the camp ground and dump trucks and jake brakes are not uncommon. I have always heard gunfire around the resort also, sometimes from several directions. They accept packages, you can wash your RV on week days and although there are no trails available from the park it isn't a very long drive to state parks and forest service trails.”

Keough's Hot Springs

( 8 reviews )

800 Keough Hot Springs Rd, Bishop, CA 93514, United States

”Location is in a nice spot, run down in need of cleaning and repair. RV site is nice, however, we were not notified that during the colder months water is shut off, nothing stated on website. Arrived on a Tuesday when offices are closed, no water, no token machine for showers. Thoroughly disappointed and will not be returning.”

Courtyard By Marriott San Jose North/silicon Valley

111 Holger Way, San Jose, CA 95134, United States

”Biggest issue was we woke up to a bathroom infested with ants. The hotel lobby smelled great when we walked in. The room was spacious. We didn't get much service because our stay was short. But everyone was pleasant.”

Joshua Tree Lake Rv & Campground
4.4
( 8 reviews )

2601 Sunfair Rd, Joshua Tree, CA 92252, United States

”For a place out in the middle of the desert, it was probably better than expected. It is fairly barren, but each site came with one sad tree, power and water. Aside from a too narrow entry driveway, access was good and rig parking was easy. They do have a small lake/pond adjacent to the campground that might be nice to sit alongside. It was a stopover spot with close access to Joshia Tree NP, and served that role well for what they charged.”

Kirk Creek Campground
4.7
( 8 reviews )

64955 CA-1, Big Sur, CA 93920, United States

”The most incredible views of any campground I’ve ever been to. Every single site has a view of the ocean. We stayed at site 7 which was a bit small, really only room for one tent and no shade. But we did have privacy from our neighbors. Everyone respected the quiet hours which was absolutely amazing. I wish the campground made a shortcut trail to the bathroom because taking the road is rather long from our site. It’s a vault toilet, no sink, it’s kept fairly clean and always stocked. We took the extremely overgrown trail (starts next to site 9) to the beach. It was worth the effort but definitely cover your extremities. I hope they clean it up at some point. The camp host was a very nice man. They sell bundles of wood for $15, but we grabbed ours in Cambria for half the price (the camp host didn’t stay overnight but was available 9-6). Raccoons run wild at night and want your food so beware. One tried to open our cooler. Keep food in your car and take out your trash to the available cans. We only stayed two nights but I wish we had more time because it was so incredible. The sunset, stargazing, the hikes, all of it was magnificent.”

Lake Tulloch Rv Campground & Marina
4.4
( 8 reviews )

14448 Tulloch Rd, Jamestown, CA 95327, United States

”Campsite was nice, amenities were fair, but quiet hours were NOT enforced and people were partying with extremely loud music, yelling, and screaming that could be heard throughout the campground. I couldn't sleep at ALL. Would never return, probably only ok for day-use”

Golden Village Palms Rv Resort

”So, these people think they own the Hilton of RV resorts or something, when it's really the Holiday Inn. The sites are level, the sites are clean, and that's where the positive things abruptly stop. The pool always has bugs and debris floating in it, the bathrooms always smell strongly of sewer, someone left poop on the floor in one of the showers, and the amenities are pretty much unable to be used. The "library" doesn't have a book in it that has been written in the past 25 years, and when you go to use it, they find reasons you can't. Kids are nowhere to be seen on property, no bike riding, no playing at the amenities, or even in their sites or walking a dog. So, if you're looking for a family friendly resort, this ain't it, chief. This place is closer to a retirement home or assisted living facility than it is a family resort. The manager and staff are disgusting with how much they think they're better than others. Our RV is in great condition, our site is clean, and we are quiet and respectful to our neighbors, yet we were told, "the condition of your RV was never approved by us, you won't be staying here again." It's a 2000, the CA sun has had its way with the decals, but that's the only thing wrong with it. When we checked in, it was at 2pm, we didn't sneak in, we didn't hide our RV, and we were let in with zero problems. What they didn't like was our kids, and that's why they put us out. Our kids aren't addicted to screens anymore since we started this, so they like to go out, ride their bikes, explore, etc... and every time they would try and go have fun, they were sent back home and told they weren't allowed to do this, that or the other thing. They're tweens, in our other RV resorts we visit, we have no issues. They're respectful kids and quiet for being kids, but they're still kids. The way we were told that we weren't going to be allowed to stay any longer was gross, this place is located in the dirtiest city, and they charge through the nose and discriminate against families. Even if we got a brand new RV, we wouldn't be coming back. We said we wouldn't come back after the first time, but we gave them another shot and they failed miserably. Don't stay here unless you're over the age of 80, have a brand new rig, and you don't have anyone under 18 with you. Don't plan on using the amenities, the laundry is severely overpriced, the bathrooms are nasty and so are the pool, the library has old and outdated books, the wifi is slow and spotty, and the owners think they're better than common folk. Oh and in our spot last time, right next to where we parked our vehicle, there was a metal pole sticking out of the ground about an inch, someone didn't finish grinding it down. It was sharp and in the direct path to pop my passenger side tires, I tripped over it multiple times and had to catch myself from falling... dangerous!”

”We were recommended to stay at Camp Lotus by ARTA (white water rafting), and we were so pleased we did. We stayed in the Cosumnes cabin, my wife, son and myself included. It was a wonderful place to use as a base for the rafting (ARTA were …”

Canyon Rv Park

( 8 reviews )

24001 E Santa Ana Canyon Rd, Anaheim, CA 92808, United States

”Canyon RV Park is our favorite local park in Southern California. The location is ideal, the amenities are great, and the staff is super friendly and very nice. Since it's local to a lot of people, we always invite friends and family to come spend a day with us. They all say the same thing. It's beautiful, peaceful (except for a little freeway noise) the grass is green, and there are so many trees. We will keep coming back as long as we are in Southern California.”
