“Beautiful winery , the drive up is lovely . They have plenty of indoor / outdoor seating . We really enjoyed our tasting here , our server was kind and gave us enough time . We specially enjoyed Right angle , not available in the market . We ended up buying their 6 bottles , so our tasting was waived off . Their fresh garden pasta , focaccia bread and , Gruyère cheese loaded fries were so delicious and perfect to pair with the tasting . Infact they have a Michelin star chef and formal dinning too . Our overall experience was very pleasant and We plan to return soon with friends 🥂”

“A great place to stay. Right off the beach overlooking the ocean. The rooms are cool with a large jetted tub in the room. They have a rustic vibe that is pretty dialed in. Several great restaurants very close walking distance and the beach is a very short walk also. The rooms can be a bit pricey but everything on the coast is now. We have been there a number of times over the years. Just me being me...I may hold a bit of a grudge, I finished work in the Bay area and drove down 101 to meet my wife. Got in kinda late and in the morning asked for a late check out which was declined. So.. didn't really get to enjoy the room like we hoped and an extra hour would have given a chance to enjoy the big tub in the room. So I don't mind paying a price for something nice but was a bit offended they turned me down for the 12:00 check out. Won't ever choose them again if I'm coming in late. May just give me a chance to explore some of the other great options close by. Check out the pic of the door. Told my wife I may get one like that for our bedroom door:)”

“Love this hotel 🔥 Clean , bedsheets always fresh and no stains ,room smells nice , very clean bathroom, funny stickers all over the hotel , free games downstairs, location is great, fee min walking grocery stores and pharmacies. 10-15 min walk there is an amazing pier with a view and if you are lucky enough you can also see 🦭. There is outdoor pool and indoor gym as well. Hotel stores your amazon packages as well if needed. Highly recommend 👍”

“This house is absolutely stunning. The way that they decorate really keeps with the vintage feel. I also love the breakfast, the food is wonderful and available until 11:30! The dining area is so lovely and gives that bed and breakfast feel in a big city. The coffee is always flowing both day and night and it tastes amazing. Definitely check out the rooftop area if you get a chance, the sunset view is amazing. I can't wait to go back!”

“This was our first trip of the year and the trip that I proposed to my now fiancee. We loved how we were greeted with great hospitality by the Concierge. She was very informative and helpful with providing local options for transportation along with options for entertainment/ restaurants. The little details like the White Swan Inn pillow Chocolates, map of the city, and list of recommended restaurants was very nice. The inn was very cute with a lot of historic decorations and architecture. Very central location with a variety of affordable transportation options. We had a comfortable stay and highly recommend!”

”Overall it’s nice. Very clean rooms and The staff were wonderful and the most memorable thing about the place. They helped us sort out a room with a king sized bed when I messed up the booking and were super sweet to me while explaining what I got wrong. 10/10 front desk. We didn’t swim but the pool looked beautiful. A few gripes were that there was no hot water. Showers only get lukewarm (my girlfriend got sick and was absolutely dying for a hot shower to help her feel better.) and there’s not much in the way of water pressure. House keeping/maintenance also tried coming in twice while we were indecent which wasn’t cool. I understand house keeping checks but there was literally no knocking or warning. The only thing that saved us was the metal latch. There also aren’t microwaves in the rooms which is fine I guess but figured for $170 a night they’d have one. The location also is a bit out of the way but has lots of fast food options nearby as well as a liquor store right next door. (Which is a bit pricey)”

”Room was clean, nothing exceptional but it was a quiet and pleasant night. Breakfast was good. The hotel itself was very quaint but the parking was a little weird, limited space in the lot but they offer a small underground garage with an elevator. I probably wouldn't opt to use it if I were by myself but it was fine with my husband. There's a cute balcony for sitting outside, would probably be a nice place to smoke if you need one.”

”I really don’t understand why anyone would give Hotel La Rose less than 5 stars on any of the categories. My wife and I were there at Christmas time and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this grand hotel. Great friendly staff, great location, cozy room, comfortable bed, very nice restaurant attached to it. What more can one realistically want or expect? If you have appreciation for getting what you pay for, then Hotel La Rose is an extraordinary treat!”

”Great hotel, only had some minor gripes. ### The good: - Front-desk is very helpful and kind - Cookies in the evening, unlimited tea and coffee in common area - Towels smell clean and nice! Not like bleach like in most hotels. Nice touch there. - The property itself is reminiscent of a true Victorian mansion, to the small details. ### The could be improved: - Please add just one more vegetarian friendly option to the breakfast! It would be 100% perfect if there was something like home potatoes/hash browns or at least salad to complement the eggs and toast. Otherwise, good! - One of the chairs in our room had a noticeable stain Overall a great place to stay!”

”Pros: The location is AMAZING! The area felt safe and was surrounded by great restaurants. It was even a fairly easy walk away from Fisherman’s Wharf. Easy 5 stars for location. Cons: The rooms were average at best and the management was below average. 1) Our flight was delayed and we arrived in San Francisco later than expected. We called the hotel beforehand and they assured us it was no problem and that someone would be there to let us in. When we got there (hard to find because there was no clear signage - it may have been covered by construction that was being done on the side of the building), the door to the lobby was locked and we didn’t see anyone. After knocking and calling several times, someone finally checked us in but they had clearly just woken up and were annoyed which would’ve been understandable had we not called and confirmed our late arrival would be accommodated. 2) On our last day we went to breakfast and when we got back, the cleaning service was in the room. They only spoke Spanish and I was able to explain that we needed to finish packing so we could leave and they left. However, they had already cleaned the bathroom which we all needed to use once before we left which meant they would have to clean it again. Management needs to do better so that their staff knows what rooms are checking out each day so that the staff and the hotel guests don’t end up in an awkward situation like we did. Summary: If you don’t mind potentially awkward situations with staff and a lackluster room, then this stay is worth it because of the location. Highly recommend Home Plate and Mel’s Drive-In if you do choose to stay here!”

The manager is nice but there at least needs to.be a strict policy about TV noise past a certain hour. It’s insane.”

”Lisa & Joyce were very welcoming when we checked in. Cabin #16 we stayed in made us feel right at home! It even had a fireplace which we loved having. Living space was roomy and the bedroom was very comfy! You don't need to driving because all the shops, restaurants, etc are waking distance. Truly an awesome place to stay! We will be back!”

”Came for a quick solo trip to San Diego and was pleasantly surprised at the aesthetic and service at this hotel (especially given the price). I was greeted by a helpful concierge who gave me useful information and coupons for local restaurants; my room was well-appointed; front desk staff was very helpful; and even with parking (at $25/night, guarded 24/7) it was the best priced hotel around. Location was great too, easily walkable to Balboa park even at nighttime. Thanks to all who helped me have a great stay!”

”We loved staying at the Hotel Diamond. The room was cozy and well appointed, and the location was great. The hotel had a lovely atmosphere overall. The only complaint I have (otherwise it would be 5 stars) is that they give a free breakfast to two guests per room even if you have booked the larger room for 4 guests and are paying extra fees on top of that to have 4 guests, they then charge those two additional guests for breakfast. It seems like all paying guests staying at the hotel should have the same benefits. It’s a small but slight miss in service. The breakfast was simple and delicious and I would say is a definite plus when considering this hotel over another.”

”Such a cute and chic hotel! Location is centrally located that we were even able to walk to Orange Theory to get a little vacay workout in. Staff were all very nice and friendly. The valet parking was easy getting in and out. We loved the rooftop bar at night. The drinks and food were amazing! Super cute up top, very chill. Even the cafe downstairs was simply delicious. Came with a girl friend and we both felt safe being there by ourselves.”

”The staff was nice but the owner was not professional and would not communicate. This was our first trip to Idyllwild and we brought our family to stay at Rachel's Cottage. The house was perfect for our stay with large rooms, a beautiful kitchen and three separate bathrooms. On the negative side, the bathroom shower near the laundry room was unusable. We reported to the staff that the shower drain was backing up onto the floor. The staff was supposed to send someone over to fix it and no one ever came The counter microwave did not function properly. The oven in the stove didn't work. The front panel to turn it on and set the temperature was unresponsive. For the rates we were charged, we didn't expect to have these issues, but we dealt with them because we loved the area. The final insult, was that we were charged an extra $60 in our bill. We were told by the staff that we broke the coffee maker. WE DIDN'T EVEN USE THE COFFEE MAKER! I brought a large box of Keurig pods (that's all I use at home) and all we used was the Keurig machine. We explained this to the staff to which they replied that the owner would call us. THEY NEVER CALLED and we received a $60 charge on our credit card. This is unethical and unprofessional behavior. Beware when renting from Silver Pines!”
