“We did not stay at the Hyatt. This is strictly based on golf. I grew up down the road from the famous Plantation Golf Course, in Kapalua, Maui. It is our 14th wedding anniversary, and my Husband wanted to take me to a golf course as beautiful as the ones back home in Hawaii. The Aviara golf course did not disappoint!!! We move every one to two years, due to work. So we have been very fortunate to play at many golf courses over the years. This one instantly became one of our top favorites!!! My Husband likes to be challenged, so he especially enjoyed playing here! He is NOT easily impressed, but even he kept saying how well maintained the course was. It truly is gorgeous. Absolutely tranquil. Facilities equally lovely. The staff at the pro-shop were so attentive and friendly. Made us feel very welcome… although we were not guests of the hotel. They even made up a special sign that stated our anniversary on it, which made my eyes water! The Starter was equally as nice and professional. He congratulated us on our special occasion. Our interaction with all the staff started our afternoon off with such a positive note, and those vibes carried us through our entire game!!! We already look forward to our next visit. To the ENTIRE staff at the Aviara Golf Club… even the ones we never met… which includes grounds keepers: “Mahalo nui loa… a hui ho… malama pono… the Padillas” 😊🤙🏼😎🤙🏽”

“Everything that comes to mind from when you enter this course to when leave is. This place is Super Friendly. The people there leave you alone. The staff is there just enough. The course is very Forgiving. The clubhouse is decent. Tee-boxes are nice. Fairways smooth. Rough not so rough. Greens roll true & hold. Most of the bunkers are not so great though. Which is weird because everything is so nice. Even the carts. But don't stray too far off the trail/cart path cuz the cart boundaries are super tight. So you'll end up reversing or crawling forward. Once on the Legends Course. I drove through some trees near the tee box. I ended up crawling forward for a few minutes. I didn't wanna backtrack. If your game is ok. You will have fun here. Especially on all those downhill holes. Don't let it get to your head, though. There are plenty of hazards. But fortunately you won't find Bigfoots house out there. You'll find Bigfoots place on the other side of the freeway at Oak Valley.”

”Great experience and a very nice course, the home of PGA pro Michael Block! The greeting and clubhouse is nice and they do take care of you. I rented clubs and bought some golf balls/ hat. They carried my clubs to a very nice cart and were very pleasant! The price before 1 however is steep! $155 a round. After 1 it’s like $80? Or so. Didn’t take advantage of the grill but patio and clientele I met were awesome. Definitely a great experience, just wish it didn’t take such a bite out of my midwestern wallet on a Monday!”

”Great course. I went early on a Monday and was the second tee time. Pace of play was easy going (no one behind me for 3 tee times). The course was beautifully maintained. Greens were super fast which costed me some extra strokes. Even though the course is in a neighborhood, the fairways are wide enough you don’t have to worry about hitting a house (unless you have a really bad slice).”

The grass was soft and sprawling hills looked like a decent challenge. It even had a decently tall fence to protect the local area because it is smack dab in the middle of town.”

”Nice place to play golf, if you play golf. I, however, do not play golf. I was here for a charity golf tournament. Every staff member that I encountered was very polite and friendly. The course looks like it's very well maintained. The clubhouse is air conditioned beautifully. The men's locker room is very nice as well, with high-end soaps and nice paper towels. I almost wish I was a golfer so I could play the course.”

”we visited this country club for a wedding of a close friend of ours last month. i'm not sure the name of the wedding planning company that they used but this was the venue we were at for the outdoor ceremony and we used the inside of the building for the reception afterwards. i would definitely note that the drinks, appetizers and food were each delicious. the staff who was working throughout the night were all very kind and professional as well. the parking lot is huge and the scenery is also very nice inside and out. i truly enjoyed coming here to be able to enjoy a wedding and everything was top of the line.”

”Off the tee, it’s a bit of a rough start, but we had a day. Try to book accurate times because if you don’t, they expect you at the other time you booked. But golf is awful. It’s amazing. It sucks. This course though is a nice little 9-er in the middle of the city. Beautiful view. Beautiful greens. Awesome. Hole 8 is a doozy.”

”This review is strictly pertaining a wedding I attended and not the actual golf experience. I recently attended a wedding at Skylinks Long Beach Golf Course, and it was nice. It was a lovely and simple wedding. It definitely fits the couple's style, which is basic. There's nothing wrong with being basic sometimes. The ceremony took place outside in front of the waterfall. My only issue was the grass; not ideal for heels at all, but whatever. When the ceremony ended, they had a cocktail hour outside, including an open bar with self-served hors d'oeuvres. Both the ceremony and cocktail hour was nicely set up. When we entered the reception area, I felt that it was the perfect size for the number of people that attended. But the dance floor was not. It was super tiny, and the dancing was very tight. For dinner, it was buffet-style with Italian food. I didn't really like where the buffet was located, but I guess it worked out well. The food was basic; nothing really stood out for me. The waitstaff, however, was terrific! It looked like only about three people were working, and they seemed to be on the older side. But man, they were hustling and bustling! They were moving quickly, and they did their job! The wedding had an open bar throughout the whole time! They even provided late-night tacos! Which really hit the spot! I felt that the bathrooms could've been located within the same building where the reception took place. The bathrooms were across the way for everyone; even the golfing people were using them. The bathrooms weren't the best-looking ones. You have a beautiful wedding with ugly, run-down bathrooms. Everyone is all dressed up and then uses a gross bathroom. I'm not a golfer, so I probably won't come back unless I’m invited to another event. But I would recommend Skylinks for a wedding.”

”I was super impressed with the entire Desert Princess property. The golf course may be one of the best manicured properties in the entire Palm Springs area. It has three nine hole layouts and they are very playable and beautiful. The driving range is excellent as well as the practice putting greens. The staff from the well stocked pro shop, outside services and restaurant care about your visit. The homes surrounding the course are super nice too. Magnificent ❤️.”

”A friend of mine had her wedding here in late October and it's a beautiful venue! Sadly it sprinkled on her day, but not enough to postpone or stop the special event. Kelly was very on top of everything, from rehearsal to the day of. She was directive and helpful. I hadn't been part of the wedding process in the beginning, but I could definitely tell she had been very helpful for my friend and made coordinating easier for her. The food was delicious and good portions, choice of salmon or beef. The dressing rooms for the bridal parties are down the hall but locked so only the coordinator has the key. The arbor did need to be decorated separately, not by the venue. My friend also designed and did the centerpieces by herself, not sure if the venue provides standard ones or not if you need it. If you're looking for a venue that helps take care of mostly everything, this might be the place for you! Thank you for helping make my friend's wedding special! :)”

”Pretty fun course. If you’re not big on elevation change this is obviously not the place for you. Gotta hit it long enough to not get stuck down low on the holes that go back uphill & if you struggle with getting enough height on your irons it’s gonna be a long day. Greens are small so there’s a premium on your shorter clubs for approach shots as well. Plenty of fun holes and chances to really bomb it from the elevated tees. The little snack shack over by 3 & 12 was great, really good dogs and the drinks are well priced. Played in about 5hrs flat but it didn’t feel super slow. Some cool pockets of the forest you end up in and a couple of really great views towards the end. The greens were the only thing keeping it back from really being a great round for us on Saturday. We played pretty early in the day and it still felt like all the greens were straight up trampled. Almost in a weird kind of bad shape- didn’t seem like they had just been punched or anything, they just sorta sucked to putt on. Saw a few longer ones through the day that looked like they were bouncing down a Plinko board with how many times the ball got moved off it’s line. Would have been a lot more fun if they were rolling true. Course might be rated a little easier than it actually plays- I’ve played easier courses sloped higher for sure. Would definitely play it again if someone asks me to meet em out there but I’d be more inclined to go of my own accord if I knew that the greens were usually better than this last weekend.”
