“Misty Mountain is one of the nicest campgrounds I've stayed in. Very friendly and kind staff. My two favorite things were: 1) The expansive, woodsy grounds. I have a dog and it's always nice to have a good place to walk and 2) The bathhouse! The showers were fantastic. I can only wish all campgrounds offered such nice showers. I also very much appreciate the December offer of stay 2 nights get the 3rd free. Thanks so much!”

“Absolutely great service and location. They've renovated the lobby area. Peggy at the breakfast bar is great. Arlene and her Co worker at check in are just wonderful. “This was our first time staying on a property inside of Colonial Williamsburg itself. The rooms were clean, roomy, and had nice amenities. We will absolutely be staying with Woodlands again! Everyone was extremely helpful and accommodating, which is really important for me, as I am disabled. This hotel, and especially the staff, will make your stay memorable. “Really like this hotel. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Stayed overnight to go to a concert, and when I called ahead to tell them we'd be getting in late, the manager told me he lived near the venue and gave us a great suggestion to get out at the end of the show without getting stuck in the parking lot for 2 hours. 10 minutes later, he said, we'd be at the hotel. He was right. When you're traveling with kids help like that is gold. We'll be back.”

”I could say all the usual nice things - very clean facility, courteous staff, groomed sites, lovely pool, beach etc. The test of good guest service is when things don't go right. I had a major electrical issue with my RV - totally our problem. Maintenance came out to check the service, even though it was fine, they sent an electrical contractor out to make sure. Maintenance stopped by on their "rounds" to see how we were doing. The office provided a wonderful local repair company who could dispatch a tech within 2 hours of calling. When I asked about cabin availability in case we needed to await parts, the office was ready to dispatch housekeeping immediately to turn a unit for me. As luck would have it, the repair tech was able to get slides and awning in so we could get home. The value of my friends is not when life goes well, it is when life does not go well. Thank you so much to Wayne, Elissa and everyone at Grey's Point. The first two days were perfect! You may a horrible day three, better. We will be back!”

”We conducted a work event here. The hotel staff was excellent at assisting us with all our needs. The conference room we used was a tad small but worked well for what we needed it for. Coffee was provided as well as a complementary room since we booked over 50 rooms total. The location in Shirlington is nice. There is a Harris Teeter across the street as well as numerous restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. The lobby is stylish and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a conference or even for a stay if on vacation in the area.”

”The Hyatt Place was definitely a great choice to stay. Nothing really to complain about. My room was immaculate and had no odors to deal with. The TV had no instructions to use it and I did get help. They said that I should have had a sheet explaining it but my room didn’t have one. But the staff showed me exactly what I needed so it wasn’t an issue afterwards. Big beds, huge mattress and it made for a good night’s sleep. The breakfast buffet was a cut above a typical one in my experience. More choices and better quality. My room was well away from the elevator and ice machine and was very quiet. Based on my stay I can easily recommend them without reservation.”

”Just stayed here for the first time this past weekend after many years of my last stay. I took my husband on a mini getaway weekend from all our chaos at our home in Norfolk. I will say Brandon at the front desk was the best customer service person I have ever had to deal with. Kind, funny, caring and very understanding to my wants for this stay. We had the best time with the hot tub , 2 room suite and a beautiful view of the ocean from our 2 balconies. Sunset was beautiful and sunrise was breathtaking. One flaw I didn’t care for was the this particular type bed. Nice and big but one mattress on a wire bouncy frame. I do feel like hotel beds will never measure up to your own bed at home. So we dealt with it. Restaurants in the area were perfect! Doughboys across the street had phenomenal staff. Great drinks and friendly people. Will be coming back one day.”

”This hotel is under new management. One of the decisions made was to do away with the shuttle to the airport. In my opinion, this is a huge mistake. For years, we've always stayed the night before our flight (and sometimes on the return) and taken the shuttle over to the airport. This saves us a few hours' drive, extra sleep, and parking at the airport. Not to mention the hassle of trying to find our car. My husband and I are Marriott Bonvoy members with titanium status. Upon discovering that the shuttle is no longer offered, we canceled our reservation and stayed next door at The Delta since they provide shuttle service. Still in the Marriott chain. We've always loved the staff at the Residents Inn, but the shuttle is a deal breaker.”

”The hotel is conveniently located in Virginia Beach. There is a pool and hot tub. Their breakfast selections are average - self-service waffles, eggs, meat, hard-boiled eggs, bagles, milk, and juice. My one concern was that there wasn't any regular bread or English muffins. The rooms are looking a bit old and worn. In the bathroom, one of the towel bars is missing. The pullout couch in the living room is sagging. The staff is nice. All rooms are ocean views.”

”Kevin, the gentleman behind the desk at night was great. His communication and customer service is terrific!! The TVs are great and my room was very clean and well maintained. The lady with red hair and earbuds in her ears desperately needs to be retrained or held accountable. I assume employees are not supposed to wear ear buds while working at the front desk. Usually it doesn't bother me, but she clearly did not want to be at work on 10/12/23. Would've given 5 stars if not for her.”

”Nice rooms. Great staff. The breakfast was above average for a hotel. Items were kept stocked until the end of the time. There was some variety from day to day. The room on the inside was very quiet, even though we were near the elevator and the hotel was sold out some nights. My only complaint was that we were on the street side and at night the street noise could be disturbing”
