The Tin Pan
4.6
( 10 reviews )

8982 Quioccasin Rd, Richmond, VA 23229, United States

“We love this venue! We have seen quite a few shows here. John Waite, Patty Smyth, Howard Jones, and recently Edwin McCain. Always good prices. Sooner you buy the tickets the better seats you get. Small place, so really not bad seats, unless you are a group of 4, plan on having other people sitting at your table. This is a dine and watch venue. Typically, you can finish eating before they come on. Food is decent, nothing fantastic but solid. Staff is always top knotch. The sound quality is good. Sometimes, the artist will stay and mingle. They always have someone playing, so get on their list.”

Swift Creek Mill Theatre

“My husband and I had dinner and watched the play “Gas light”. Both were great! The restaurant was cozy and perfect for date night. The drinks and food were delicious! The dessert was lacking… we ordered sticky toffee pudding which was a flavorless muffin with toffee sauce on it. The sauce was good but the pudding errr. muffin was not. The play was outstanding! I loved the intimacy of the theater. I felt like I was part of the play. The actors and actress was very professional. We loved our experience and plan to return.”

State Theatre
4.4
( 8 reviews )

220 N Washington St, Falls Church, VA 22046, United States

”State Theatre is always fun to go to, especially on Halloween weekend for the Legwarmers. I am happy to report that the carpet has been replaced and now it is much cleaner and nicer. The vibe is awesome. People tend to be happy and dancing. They have many cover bands that come to play. The sound system is average. It does get warm inside when the temps outside are above 70. Parking is available on the street or in a garage near by. I have been to the State Theater many times and I enjoy the live music. I was also thankful for their seats. You can take a break from dancing and watch the show. Ticket prices are usually very reasonable. Staff is friendly.”

5 Points Music Sanctuary

1217 Maple Ave SW, Roanoke, VA 24016, United States

”Yo, listen up! I gotta spill the beans about this mind-blowing music venue. 🎶🎸 Picture this: a church turned into the coolest spot to catch some sick bands. The vibes there are off the charts, my friend. 🤘 But let me tell you, the hospitality? It's out of this world! ✨ Now, here's the real deal. I'm a handicap concert goer, and these guys didn't just treat me like any other fan. Oh no, they went all out to make sure my experience was the absolute bomb. They took care of everything, making sure I had the best time ever. 🙌 But wait, there's more! The whole atmosphere is just so damn cool. You can feel the energy in the air, the excitement, and the passion for music. It's like being in a whole new world. 🌟🌍 So, if you're a music lover like me, don't sleep on this place. Trust me, you won't find anything quite like it. It's a hidden gem that deserves all the praise. Go check it out and let the good vibes flow! 🎶✨”

The Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show - Virginia Beach

( 8 reviews )

Inside APEX Entertainment, 4621 Columbus St, Virginia Beach, VA 23462, United States

”A TOTAL BLAST! I got a bunch of my friends together for this dinner to celebrate my 31st birthday. This dinner exceeded my expectations. The staff did very well organizing this event and keeping things on schedule. I emailed them ahead to get my party seated at one table. There is a bar available inside that takes cash, card and Apple Pay. The bartender is a staff of APEX. She was a very good bartender. You can go to the bar as much as you want. We even bought bottles of wine. Dinner was delicious but they were small portions. First you start with a salad, appetizer, entree and end off with desserts. The desserts were freshly made cookies and brownies. Sooo... good!!! For the entertainment, I don't want to spoil it but the actors were very good and funny. This is definitely an adult event with some raunchy jokes. It's an interactive dinner so you will get to walk around with your drinks and talk to suspects... Go book this dinner and have fun! I highly recommend bringing a big group but a couples night or girls night is fun too.”

Dr Pepper Park At The Bridges

( 8 reviews )

9 Old Whitmore Ave, Roanoke, VA 24016, United States

”Do you love being outdoors? Do you love music? This is the venue you can do both. We love the outings and the acts that come. Just be aware there is no on-site parking but the carilion garage they use isn't far and they provide bus transportation. The venue is right next to South 16 apartments which also has a Starbucks, Moe's, and starhill brewery right there. In the venue the food is pretty good, beer/wine is $5, and suggestion to bring a chair/blanket or rent a chair while there.”

”What a wonderful venue!! They have really brought this place bavk to life! I've seen two concerts here and it is a very intimate venue, not a bad seat in the house! Sound is great, booze is flowing, seats are comfortable, and dancing in the isles was fun!! Saw a movie at Christmas and enjoyed that, too! Just wish they had butter for the popcorn 🤣”

”Stopped in here for lunch today because I've heard good things about this place from friends, the waitress Nicole was steller and we had good conversation, even though I was the only customer at the time it was still nice. The porkchop I had was cooked beautifully and was juicy and tender. Normally I don't have good experiences with porkchop at restaurants, they end up being dry and tough. So I definitely look forward to coming back soon.”

Workhouse Arts Center
4.6
( 16 reviews )

9518 Workhouse Wy, Lorton, VA 22079, United States

”As a history nerd, I geek out about places like Workhouse Arts Center. It's a former prison redeveloped into a community for the arts. Here's what you should know before visiting: 1) History: The arts center is part of the 3,2000-acre campus of an early 20th century prison called the D.C. Workhouse and Reformatory. At the time, it opened as a model for prison reform envisioned by President Teddy Roosevelt. Over the years, it become more of a working camp with the last prisoner exiting in 2001 before it closed for good. The campus is being redeveloped into many things, but the Workhouse Arts Center was one of the first to open in the old prison in 2008. 2) Space: It's definitely set up like the old prison with several Colonial Revival brick buildings flank a large green space. Each brick building houses art galleries and centers that offer classes from ceramics to glass blowing. There's also a small museum about the prison's history and plaques outside explaining the history. 3) Art: Several of the buildings have art on them, including several murals throughout the campus. It's fun to find them all, especially the older murals. 4) Events: On top of the art classes, the arts center hosts events throughout the year. For example, during Halloween, they host a haunted house experience. If you're into history and the arts, the Workhouse Arts Center is the perfect marriage!”

”I love this place!! I was looking for a winery near Lynchburg to go to on the weekends as a retreat and I think I found it. You can get a flight of 8 samples and choose which wines you want to try. They have a lot of sweet wines, which I love. They have board games and books for you to enjoy along with your wine too! I personally recommend the cherry cheesecake, twisted tangerine and strawberry reserves.”
