“The Refuge Inn was a perfect place for us to land for 3 days to enjoy the island and the ponies. The ponies were a highlight of being able to see them from our room in their pens . We enjoyed the coffee and breakfast each morning brought to our room. it would be nice to kind of change up the menu some mornings. We loved the friendliest of the staff and the cleaning crew. Did not use the pool or hot tub as we were out traveling during the day. The pool area was beautiful and clean. Ask for a ponie corral room”

“This was our first time at the Fife and Drum, and we really enjoyed it! The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The cost is honestly more than we typically pay, but it was worth every penny given the location. We were in Williamsburg for the Grand Illumination festivities. Because of the location of the Inn, we were able to walk to everything which was great! We would definitely consider staying there again.”

“This was our first stay at this location. The room was very clean. The bed was perfect (for me) along with the pillows on the bed. The bathroom was perfectly stocked with towels and amenities. The breakfast was fully stocked and had a very nice selection. But most importantly, the staff! The staff were amazing, courteous and very friendly. A special shoutout to Tasha for her extremely friendly personality, awesome smile and superior customer service! We travel through here each year at this time and will definitely make this our resting point! “We stayed here on a road trip from NY to FL. We arrived very late at night and checked in on the app and used a digital key to access our room, which was great since we had little kids and wanted to get them in to bed quickly. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet. Breakfast was delicious. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It is a perfect place to stop and we will definitely be staying here again.”

”I have a daughter on campus so the location is great except for the fact that you are across the street from a frat house and the music is loud. Rooms need a refresh- boring decor, fridge just stuck in the corner make it look cheap. The bed was comfortable though. Small bathroom with dirt and dust in all the corners. Shower was okay, but it is one of those shower stalls with only half a glass door so there's water all over the floor when you shower. Towels were thick and super soft. No exhaust fan in the bathroom though. Lobby area was very lovely and the look of the hotel from the outside is very beautiful. Just an OK stay.”

Unfortunately the fire alarm went off on our floor at 10:30 and we couldn’t get back into our room until almost 2 hours.”

”Exceeded our expectations. Room was clean and pretty. We got a corner room right by the neon sign and I just loved the view. I loved how they had so many windows so the room would just lit up, there was a great amount of sunlight coming in which was great. The only thing I would say is the heat was very loud so I had to turn it off because it disturbed my sleep. Location: right at the prime location. Service: we didn’t have any housekeeping during our stay due to our request of privacy but they did have housekeeping everyday, the people was very nice and helpful:) Breakfast was great Front desk was great also”

They have stand-up showers, which is such a helpful thing, and the water pressure is amazing. The overall hotel and grounds are clean and well-cared for. The bed comfort leaves a little to be desired, but, hey...whatever. 🤷🏿‍♀️ Everything else in comparison is a WIN!!! 🤗 The hotel is in a great location...very easy to find and get to. ”The Hyatt Place was definitely a great choice to stay. Nothing really to complain about. My room was immaculate and had no odors to deal with. The TV had no instructions to use it and I did get help. They said that I should have had a sheet explaining it but my room didn’t have one. But the staff showed me exactly what I needed so it wasn’t an issue afterwards. Big beds, huge mattress and it made for a good night’s sleep. The breakfast buffet was a cut above a typical one in my experience. More choices and better quality. My room was well away from the elevator and ice machine and was very quiet. Based on my stay I can easily recommend them without reservation.”
