Me and my Wife bought 15 more tacos! so we could bring home this joy! Though I do recommend eating them right there on the street while there hot! Dont ruin these babies in the microwave! “Stopped in after a tour of Jamestown Colony and it was just great. The food truck had an excellent selection and was super tasty. The beers everyone had were excellent. Some delicious IPAs, and a real good stout as well. Also being on the water just makes this place a perfect stop for a nice lunch and couple beers following a tour.”

Burgerworks

( 8 reviews ) $$

10321 W Broad St, Glen Allen, VA 23060, United States

“So my sister & I stopped by here last week. We don't live in Richmond area so we don't go up there often but we decided to give this place a try. Let me tell you, it did not let us down!! 🙆🏻‍♀️ It was soooo good. 😍 I love cheeseburgers but most places I think are over priced for just a burger but this place is well worth it & its really not expensive. It's just like everywhere else. I got a cheeseburger & regular fry & it was like $15 so not bad, to me at least. 🤷🏻‍♀️& the amount of fries you get, you could definitely split a regular sized one with someone else. Anyways, if you like cheeseburgers try this place. You won't be disappointed. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, everything was on point.👌🏻 I have no complaints & will definitely be back whenever we go up that was again. I highly recommend! 💯🙋🏻‍♀️👍🏻🍔🍟✔”

Classics Sandwiches & Subs
4.6
( 8 reviews )

4820 Williamsburg Rd, Richmond, VA 23231, United States

”I stopped here after I read reviews, didn't want to go to a chain. Great welcome when you walk in the door, nice selection in the menu and decor is a museum with various pictures from different famous people. Baja chicken wrap was recommended and had fries with them. Was expecting fries be fresh cut there but they are bag fries, still cooked good and crispy. My sandwich was OK, not much flavor for being called Baja Chicken, I did like that my chicken was hot. I'll sure try place again during next visit & try different sandwich to see if it's better.”

( 8 reviews )

10629 Braddock Rd, Fairfax, VA 22032, United States

”5/5. Was in the area, and decided to stop by hear for some tacos, and Taco Bamba is always a good choice. The Food: Went with my favorite taco, the Lengua Taco. The meat was quality and cooked perfectly. Paired with a nice double tortilla and some onions/cilantro. Can't get any better. The Service: Service was good. Ordering was fast, and orders went out within a timely manner as well. The Atmosphere: Small place, with little seating. But it is setup like almost any other Taco Bamba. Nice decor and huge menu on the wall for you to browse when waiting to order Overall, a 5/5 Solid taco place. getting kind of pricey, but the food is delicious as always.”

Pearmund Cellars
4.7
( 8 reviews )

6190 Georgetown Rd, Broad Run, VA 20137, United States

”First time visitors and this winery quickly moved to the top of our favorites list! As red wine lovers, we aren’t usually wowed by white wine…but every single wine from Pearmund, was great! Even the ones we had at the bottom of our list, were great! Also, incredible staff and atmosphere! We can’t wait to go back! Also, they have two separate places on property…one is child/family friendly (weekend hours!), the other is 21+. It’s clearly marked on property and online. As adults who have a child, we appreciate being able to enjoy a child free wine tasting…but also visit other wineries that are not 21+. All of the other reviews screaming discrimination…don’t let that deter you from coming to this winery!”

La Jarochita Restaurant
4.2
( 8 reviews )

9612 Grant Ave, Manassas, VA 20110, United States

”I’ve heard really good things about this place for many years and have always wanted to go, but just never had the chance, until recently! I went around lunch time on a Tuesday and they weren’t very busy, so I was able to order pretty quickly. I only speak English, but I’ve a “brown skin” person, so Spanish people always want to speak Spanish to me first, but when I replied in English, that wasn’t a problem – I bring that up, because normally at authentic Mexican taquerías this normally is an issue. They make a large offer of proteins in any style of serving you want (Example: You can get Pollo in a taco, gordita, sopes, tortas, etc), so I got a pollo and an asada. They have a big bin of pico to scoop out once you get your food and that had the best, freshest flavor! Their green and red sauces were both very nicely done and both were spicy, with the red being very hot, but tasty. The pollo was excellent – Lots of great flavor, quite possibly one of the best pollo tacos I’ve had! The asada was dry and not flavored very well. The fresh lime I squeezed on top really helped to light it up, but it still needed more help, so I used lots of salsa. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience here. I can see why they’re rated so high, definitely worth the hype!”

Lumpia & Company
4.6
( 8 reviews )
Open until 07:00 PM

228 N Lynnhaven Rd #125, Virginia Beach, VA 23452, United States

”A very pleasant surprise! The food was phenomenal. The fries were sooooo tasty. My husband loved the dessert. The staff was excellent, and the chef came out to bring some food and greet us. It's a small place but still room to seat people (maybe 30 people or so). There was Christian music playing in the background, which was another pleasant and soothing element. Safe and respectful.”

Greater Grinders Submarines

3501 High St, Portsmouth, VA 23707, United States

”So this business has been around forever and they used to be good… I just paid $30 for 2 subs, which is normal cost these days however this sub, the club sub to be exact had exactly 1 thin slice of Turkey and 1 thin slice of ham, and not even the good lunch meat, the square processed lunch meat you get cheap at the grocery store, I basically paid for bread… the bread was good, but there was no meat, all you tasted was onion mayo and bread… I mean I know times are hard right now and the economy isn’t the greatest…. But when you order a club you expect there to be meat on it. They must be struggling hard to put out that kind of quality sub. If you think subway is bad with their meat.. you haven’t seen anything yet. I would not ever waste money here again unless they change their quality. I used to really love this place, and I enjoy supporting small local businesses, but this was a total rip off.”

Korean Grill
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

3131 Golansky Blvd, Woodbridge, VA 22192, United States

”Very nice quaint Korean restaurant with excellent food, service and very clean! The grilled mackerel is cooked and charred to perfection! The pickled daikon and bean sprouts are delicious and crunchy and you can tell they are prepared daily. The grilled spicy pork was tender and juicy. The service is excellent and she was so very sweet and brought extra napkins without me even asking. I highly recommend this for anyone that likes real Korean food. Oh and the ginseng hot tea is very smooth and light and perfectly steeped. Please support this excellent local business!”

”Had the Brisket sandwich, Ruben, and bacon-wrapped shrimp. Loved the homemade onion rings. Tails should have pinched off of shrimp. Thought it was a little pricey for lunch but I guess everything is going up.”

”I love DCG. My go to spot during my work lunch break. I got the 2 bowls with rice, chicken, mixed cucumbers, extra white sauce, and a little red sauce. The chicken was seasoned very well. It was a solid price, 2 bowls for about $25. Overall 10/10. Mostly a quick carry out spot. Only con was the tables were a little dirty so me & my friend wiped it down ourselves.”

Sloppy Mama's Bbq

5731 Langston Blvd., Arlington, VA 22207, United States

”I was nearby in the area in Falls Church today. I have the hardest time deciding on new places to go to. Went into Clare & Dons, highly reviewed -- yet didn't feel the vibe. Foot in the door to Dogwood Tavern but left disappointed after chatting briefly w/ the greeter. Then in mood for BBQ, went to Liberty BBQ but got turned off as they refused to seat me elsewhere; even though that was ok. So anyway, I call on Google Maps to suggest me BBQ spots nearby. I saw this, and it seems like a hole-in-wall place, not a big chain or anything, so I jump the gun and say sign me up for a test drive on this bad boy here. I parked in side street. I knew Arlington already and it brought back the feels. I say, why risk it? Life's too short. This spot actually has an attached p-lot out back. I walked up after crossing main road, so only beheld that after the fact. Good menu, good vibes. I acted the fool and say it's my first rodeo here. So what's good? Combo meal and brisket were solid hitters, but I looked at a la carte and the half-rack smoked ribs caught my eye. Truth be told, I was in the mood for a good fall-off-the-rack ribs. This, not to much, but it was seasoned and decent enough. Also plus points for grand seating area and my order was ready pretty speedily enough. I loaded up on the house sauces and went to knock 'em all out. My favorites, the Diablo and the first (forget the name). All were good and a unique house taste in their own right. As I said, ribs were not fall-off-the-rack good, but they were pretty darn tasty. They satisfied my craving for ribs at least. With the sauces this was pretty darn splendid overall. In short, great BBQ joint up in Arlington. Parking was a bit of struggle but easier for me then downtown. Food certainly hit the spot but nothing truly exceptional. There is a good chance I return; maybe the brisket or sandwich up next on the docket for me.”

Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery

4100 Knolls Point Dr, Goochland, VA 23063, United States

”Definitely worth the trip to this gorgeous part of Virginia. Brought the family including our puppy. The kids played on the swings while we enjoyed a flight. Do be careful because their beer is STRONG. The festivals are great. I started following them on FB and they are great about what's going on each weekend.”
