“Lovely, comfortable and quiet, we had an excellent stay. The room and bed were very comfortable, the staff were excellent-friendly and helpful. The location is perfect for walking around town and parking is under the hotel and very convenient. My one complaint - PLEASE GET BETTER COFFEE. The coffee machine in the lobby for guests was undrinkable - and the restaurant coffee needs a serious upgrade. The hotel was beautiful and comfortable and I would stay there again, but I suggest you get dressed and run down to Cranberry's for coffee.”

“Very nice hotel!! Rooms were spacious, clean, and modern. Full kitchen with utensils. Provided soap and lotion was nice. Amazing customer service. Pool and hot tub were both clean and perfect temp. Breakfast was fully stocked and had nice variety. Pretty big workout room with 5-6 different machines. My only complain was the other people staying there, but that can’t be helped. Just loud children with parents that can’t or won’t control them.”

“We booked a 2 bedroom suite for a small New Years gathering (4 ppl). Of course we did our own wipe down, but the rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful and I liked having a garage connected for parking. My friends and I absolutely loved the fire pit down on the patio. Shout out to the guy working the breakfast station. SO helpful and accommodating. Good standard breakfast options but as for most hotels, if you're vegan/gluten free (or are avoiding bread and potatoes) your options become a bit limited. You do have your own kitchen (with refrigerator, stove top and microwave) so you can always bring something. Overall, very satisfied and pleased with my stay.”

“Let's start with the good. The location is great, right off of 395 and parking is plentiful. Great start! The mobile check in was seamless. The room size was great, the suite had the perfect set up for multiple families. 2 bedroom/2 bathrooms, large living area with pull out bed. Unfortunately, there were a lot of negatives. Upon entering the lobby at approximately 9pm, no one was at the front desk to greet guest, so we were unable to promptly locate the elevator. Once inside the elevator we noticed the trim was held together by scotch tape. After entering the room, I noticed the room was somewhat dated (no problem). The room cleanliness left a lot to be desired though. The restrooms had lint and dust in the corners, a random pill 💊 was found on the floor in the living area (major hazard). Hair was found in the sink, while showering the water drained showly causing water to sit. The supplies in the kitchen were almost empty and had clearly been used. It is clear this Homewood Suites cuts corners on cleaning. At approximately 9am, I went to the lobby to grab coffee and drop a bag off at the car. Upon returning to my room, a hotel staff member was standing at my door. She backed away as I walked up. She then asked if I was checking out today, I replied I was. She followed up by questioning how long it would be before I checked out. The checkout time was noon, the hotel was not crowded, and the do not disturb sign was posted on the door. I spend approximately 150 nights a year in Hilton brand hotels. I love Homewood Suites, but this one does not meet the standard!”

“Wonderful small hotel in the town of St Paul Virginia. Our friends suggested this when we were planning a visit and we are glad they did. Such a lovely hotel with amazing staff. The manager, Bobbi, was so kind and friendly and made our stay extra special. We were given a suite with a living area, two bedrooms, and large bathroom. The rooms have mini fridges and a small breakfast is brought to your room in the am. They have a nice coffee, tea, and water station in the lobby. There is also a Mexican restaurant, Nuevo Porto, on the ground floor. It was cold so we ate there a few times during our stay and it was good. They are close to many trails and have atv rentals in the warmer months. Great location and cozy hotel to stay in SW Virginia. We will be back and highly recommend this place.”

”I am a frequent traveler and a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at many hotels. We had a really bad experience when we stayed here recently. We loved the opportunity to select our room online as Honors members. In doing so, we were offered an upgrade for drinks and snacks which turned out to be very lame. Don’t do it! Also, when we checked in, our floor was very sticky and needed cleaning. We reported our dissatisfaction with the value of the upgrade and the sticky floors to an older woman at the front desk who I suspect was a manager. The older woman there was very snarky and basically did not care. She sent a man up with a dry swifter mop and a spray bottle. He sprayed the floor and dry mopped it but it did not help so we just gave up on getting it fixed. The manager response below that she reached out several times to ask about it is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. She never once reached out to us by phone or I. Person or at the front desk, not once!!! In addition, the bedding was worn as well and looked old and in need of replacement. We also complained when we complained about the sticky floor about the snack and drink situation and we were told BY THE SAME WOMAN that she would only allow us to exchange one drink for another drink. We told her that if we had known how lame it was, we would not have paid for that. Again, she was clear that this was the only option. The fact that the manager would lie in her response is extremely disappointing and I will be contacting Hilton on this. This hotel is extremely disappointing and we stay at a lot of hotels and travel a lot but this is probably one of the worst experiences I have had and was only made worse by the lies written in the below response. Be assured, we wholly recommend you not waste your time with this place!”

”Really like this hotel. The staff goes out of their way to be helpful. Stayed overnight to go to a concert, and when I called ahead to tell them we'd be getting in late, the manager told me he lived near the venue and gave us a great suggestion to get out at the end of the show without getting stuck in the parking lot for 2 hours. 10 minutes later, he said, we'd be at the hotel. He was right. When you're traveling with kids help like that is gold. We'll be back.”

”I've stayed here twice; both times the rooms were clean, well equipped, and comfortable. This time I had a little kitchen area with a full refrigerator, sink garbage disposal, and microwave and for stays of several days it's a big convenience. The breakfast area downstairs is great, with a waffle maker and a decent selection of other options, and the staff obviously works hard keeping the place stocked up and in good order. Both times I have been here the folks at the front desk have been friendly, extremely helpful, and pretty funny.”

They were very accommodating for our family event and so pleasant every time I interacted with anyone, from the front desk to the shuttle drivers to housekeeping. The rooms are well-designed and quiet, and they have microwaves, refrigerators and a coffee center in each room. My room was cleaned between the first and second night, which was great. Not all hotels offer this any more. The only thing that surprised me was that guests were charged for drinking water. I found out that free filtered water was available in the fitness center so I used that. However, I think that water should be available in a more visible location, and preferably on every floor.”

”Just stayed here for the first time this past weekend after many years of my last stay. I took my husband on a mini getaway weekend from all our chaos at our home in Norfolk. I will say Brandon at the front desk was the best customer service person I have ever had to deal with. Kind, funny, caring and very understanding to my wants for this stay. We had the best time with the hot tub , 2 room suite and a beautiful view of the ocean from our 2 balconies. Sunset was beautiful and sunrise was breathtaking. One flaw I didn’t care for was the this particular type bed. Nice and big but one mattress on a wire bouncy frame. I do feel like hotel beds will never measure up to your own bed at home. So we dealt with it. Restaurants in the area were perfect! Doughboys across the street had phenomenal staff. Great drinks and friendly people. Will be coming back one day.”

”My stay in this simple hotel was fine, and it was not far from the airport train, but the price I was given in writing when I booked was not what I was charged. On checkout I was advised that they were going to pre-charge my card an extra $50 per night to cover in case I had had any snacks etc from the room, or meals, which I hadn’t. They used this ruse of overcharging my card to ultimately make me pay a different, higher room rate without honoring my original booking. I emailed the hotel at least twice, forwarding my booking and also my receipt for payment but they did not respond. I did not expect this fraudulent overcharge from a major chain like Hilton. It’s a shame. Because of this, I wouldn’t stay again and don’t recommend it.”

”The hotel is conveniently located in Virginia Beach. There is a pool and hot tub. Their breakfast selections are average - self-service waffles, eggs, meat, hard-boiled eggs, bagles, milk, and juice. My one concern was that there wasn't any regular bread or English muffins. The rooms are looking a bit old and worn. In the bathroom, one of the towel bars is missing. The pullout couch in the living room is sagging. The staff is nice. All rooms are ocean views.”
