“Travelling home from Florida we used this hotel as a midway stop point. Hotel had everything we needed. Pros; Clean, comfortable beds, closed to some restaurants both sit down and quick service, continental breakfast, pool opens late and a small gym. Staff is kind and helpful. Cons; we were originally assigned to a room on the second floor - as soon as I stepped on the room I could hear the people above me and had ourselves reassigned to the 4th floor. Made all the difference in the level on noise and quite night of rest. Hottub could be a big warmer and it almost looks stained or dirty at first glance. We will absolutely stay at this hotel again in our travels as long as we can stay on the 4th floor.”

“Let's start with the good. The location is great, right off of 395 and parking is plentiful. Great start! The mobile check in was seamless. The room size was great, the suite had the perfect set up for multiple families. 2 bedroom/2 bathrooms, large living area with pull out bed. Unfortunately, there were a lot of negatives. Upon entering the lobby at approximately 9pm, no one was at the front desk to greet guest, so we were unable to promptly locate the elevator. Once inside the elevator we noticed the trim was held together by scotch tape. After entering the room, I noticed the room was somewhat dated (no problem). The room cleanliness left a lot to be desired though. The restrooms had lint and dust in the corners, a random pill 💊 was found on the floor in the living area (major hazard). Hair was found in the sink, while showering the water drained showly causing water to sit. The supplies in the kitchen were almost empty and had clearly been used. It is clear this Homewood Suites cuts corners on cleaning. At approximately 9am, I went to the lobby to grab coffee and drop a bag off at the car. Upon returning to my room, a hotel staff member was standing at my door. She backed away as I walked up. She then asked if I was checking out today, I replied I was. She followed up by questioning how long it would be before I checked out. The checkout time was noon, the hotel was not crowded, and the do not disturb sign was posted on the door. I spend approximately 150 nights a year in Hilton brand hotels. I love Homewood Suites, but this one does not meet the standard!”

“My sister and I came to check on my nephew who plays football for UVA. My sister arrived first. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk attendant. I didn't get her name, but she was there every day we were there and was very helpful. The first room we were placed in had an issue with the hot water, but we were able to get another room no problem. Breakfast was nice and each and every person we encountered who worked at the hotel greeted us, was friendly and had good customer service. We enjoyed our stay.”

”We conducted a work event here. The hotel staff was excellent at assisting us with all our needs. The conference room we used was a tad small but worked well for what we needed it for. Coffee was provided as well as a complementary room since we booked over 50 rooms total. The location in Shirlington is nice. There is a Harris Teeter across the street as well as numerous restaurants all within walking distance of the hotel. The lobby is stylish and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a conference or even for a stay if on vacation in the area.”

Manager is friendly and personable. Rooms are always clean and no bugs seen anywhere ever. And because I work overnight they make sure my room is away from others rooms who may have noise or animals. Breakfast is good and the lady who serves it is such a nice sweet person. Offer travel discount for nurses like me which I much appreciate and make check in and out a breeze with no required deposit for out of town stays. Hands down most accommodating hotel in the area and highly recommend.”

For years, we've always stayed the night before our flight (and sometimes on the return) and taken the shuttle over to the airport. This saves us a few hours' drive, extra sleep, and parking at the airport. Not to mention the hassle of trying to find our car. My husband and I are Marriott Bonvoy members with titanium status. Upon discovering that the shuttle is no longer offered, we canceled our reservation and stayed next door at The Delta since they provide shuttle service. Still in the Marriott chain. We've always loved the staff at the Residents Inn, but the shuttle is a deal breaker.”

”We overall enjoyed our stay. The front desk receptionists were always welcoming and helpful. The indoor pool and hot tub was nice. We stayed in the suite and the room was spacious and clean. The whirlpool tub was a nice addition and the reason we chose to stay here. There was an awful smell in our room the entire time. It was a strong smell, maybe incense. We were very disappointed in the breakfast. When we came down at 8:30am, there was hardly any food out. We had to ask about replenishing the food. ”It seemed pretty clean. They have an indoor pool. They have complimentary breakfast. My kids loved the waffles that you make yourself. For the most part it was pretty quiet. We did hear a child in the room next to us one night. Their entry doors on both sides of the building were broken so you couldn't use your key card to enter. You could only enter through the front and there was never any parking in the front. So we always had to park out back and walk all the way around the building to get inside, which kinda sucked because it was cold outside.”
