“So my sister & I stopped by here last week. We don't live in Richmond area so we don't go up there often but we decided to give this place a try. Let me tell you, it did not let us down!! 🙆🏻‍♀️ It was soooo good. 😍 I love cheeseburgers but most places I think are over priced for just a burger but this place is well worth it & its really not expensive. It's just like everywhere else. I got a cheeseburger & regular fry & it was like $15 so not bad, to me at least. 🤷🏻‍♀️& the amount of fries you get, you could definitely split a regular sized one with someone else. Anyways, if you like cheeseburgers try this place. You won't be disappointed. The service was great, the atmosphere was great, everything was on point.👌🏻 I have no complaints & will definitely be back whenever we go up that was again. I highly recommend! 💯🙋🏻‍♀️👍🏻🍔🍟✔”

“A shared historical, local experience. Been enjoying the chili dogs for over 45 years and counting. The tradition continues every year when going back home for the holidays with my kids. You can tell an out of towners' review because they don't get the 'yelling of the order', the food style or the eating in the car. That's OK though. Dairy Dell is clearly the winner when you look across the street at Hardee's or even Burger King.”

The ribeye was cooked perfectly medium and the eggs were also cooked exactly to my liking over easy. I will make this a regular stop when I am in Radford.”

“I was passing through and saw this place and had to stop. I'm glad I did! What an excellent burger! You can get one or two patties and there are tons and tons of toppings. I got a single with the half order of fries and a chocolate milk shake (~$22). It was all fantastic! The burger tasted great. A note of caution: I got the HALF order of fries - see the picture. I can't imagine what the full order looks like! Well, you can't go wrong because the fries were great too. I'd definitely recommend Market Burger!”

“Wouldn’t recommend going here. Had no silverware for a party of 5. 4 out 6 people were waiting for food as the other 2 ate. Ordered wings, nachos, boneless wings, “ribeye”, muscles, and fries. Boneless wings came after reminding the manager 3 times and after everyone ate. Never got the fries or hush puppies. Drinks were good but kinda hard to mess that up and came soon as the waitress asked if we needed another. The ribeye was what you get on a McDonald steak, egg, and cheese. The steak was ordered medium and came well done, 2 separate pieces that were 1/4” and had no flavor. Green beans as a side is what you want if you are vegetarian but wouldn’t if you are a meat and potatoes kinda guy. The waitress was great and sadly it wasn’t her fault but she is the middle of the transaction and experience. She was great yet couldn’t control situation. Had to speak to management and they very responsive to the situation and took care of it. Wish it was a better experience and been here many of times before but today tested my ability to return.”

”Being a big “Q” fan (I’m visiting from NC the last few months), I’ve been all over the Hampton Roads area on a quest for great BBQ. I’ve found a number of good ones, but Alpha takes good BBQ and fixins and elevates them to another level. Pork and brisket are juicy, flavorful and just the right about of smoke. The slaw good but made great with a unique touch of citrus. The root beer baked beans a bit sweet, but a really different (but yummy) flavor profile. Do NOT miss the gumbo! Rich, hearty and just enough spice to let you know it’s gumbo - delish. I may have the BBQ sauce on the side next time for the pulled pork and brisket as I’m more about the meat than the sauce but all in all a great meal; about the best Q I’ve had since I’ve been in the area. Oh and the service is fun, friendly and really helpful; thx for the recommendations Salynne!”

”Pros: Not crowded, and the AC was pumping. The Mac and cheese Southern egg roll appetizer was awesome! The portions are huge. The club wrap had a lot of bacon, and I could only eat half. Same for my partner. He enjoyed half of his fried green tomato sandwich. The tall beer mug height is about two hands tall. Cons: Only one person was waiting tables, and the cook was about to clock out but had to stay to fix our food instead because her backup hadn't arrived yet. Dirty dishes were on all the tables other than where we sat. Children ended up cleaning up the dirty dishes well after we'd been there.”

”Been going to this glory days for years. Used to be good but it’s gone downhill. Today I ordered a Swiss mushroom onion burger with no onions and I wanted it medium rare. The burger is raw and gross. The lettuce and mushrooms have a weird taste to them like they are old and dirty. I nearly vomited and could not eat this, I do not want to get sick.They also ignored my request and left the onions on. Not wasting my money here any more.”

”The food was really good here, I got the limited time Steakhouse burgers and the turkey burger. I also got some sweet potato fries and an order of onion rings. I also got a refillable soda that allows you to try a lot of hand crafted sodas alongside an Oreo chocolate shake. Most of the soda flavors were good except for the orange it was not bad but not my favorite. The Oreo Chocolate milkshake was really good and I would recommend it. The burgers were made well and tasted great. The onion rings were good a little burnt on the bottom where it touched the fry cage, but that really was not a complaint. The fries were ok and fresh so I would get sweet potato fries over regular ones. This is one of the better burger places in Pentagon City and Crystal City so if you are looking for a good burger I would go here over others.”

”They have some good food, excellent chicken, and very hearty meal options. There is a nice variety of appetizers to choose from and you can get Nightingale Ice Cream Sandwiches for dessert, though they have some house dessert options as well. All of the food was very freshly prepared and piping hot, except the ice cream which was frozen very firm. The crispiness of the fried items was firm with soft interiors and no sign of overcooking or "old oil" taste. I had the Gville Disco Fries appetizer as my entrée and it is plenty of food to satisfy. The white chicken chili on these fries has excellent taste with very large pieces of chicken that is succulent and fork-tender. The combination of potato wedges, bar cheese, and the chicken chili is very warm and inviting. Phenomenal meal choice for a cold and wet afternoon.”

”Not sure if a unique situation... but came to visit in Blacksburg... went here for first time to have dinner . There were maybe 8 people at the bar and of course the bar tender was there. The rest of the place was completely empty. My husband and I sat at a booth. We sat there over 5 minutes. Completely ignored. The bartender was chatting with the patrons at the bar. We were not greeted, ever acknowledged, asked if we wanted to place an order etc. We waited a few more minutes and just left. What the heck?”

”It took me a few days to post my review on this place as I was visiting all the way from Canada, and I have to say, the service was just excellent, it didn’t go smoothly, but the owner (I think) made it such a pleasant experience and showed he cared. We ordered two threefle burgers,(I only got one patty on mine because I asked) And OMG!! This burger was out of this world, the best burger I’ve actually had in my life. And I travel a lot and eat tons of food when I do so this says a lot. There was a mishap, and they accidentally gave someone else my order after waiting a while, and he kept apologizing and offering me free waters and was so extremely nice. We ordered dry rub charred chicken wings, Cowboy burger, Roadhouse burger, grilled salmon burger, cheeseburger and hot chicken burger.
