“Just spent a night here but what a delight. So great to check in where the staff is truly friendly and you feel genuinely welcomed. We were in our room for just a few moments when Kendryk at the front desk called to say he’d just made fresh coffee. It’s in the lobby if we’d like some. Our room was clean and smelled great. The best part, and a rarity these days was staying somewhere with caring staff that actually cared you were thee!”

“Travelling home from Florida we used this hotel as a midway stop point. Hotel had everything we needed. Pros; Clean, comfortable beds, closed to some restaurants both sit down and quick service, continental breakfast, pool opens late and a small gym. Staff is kind and helpful. Cons; we were originally assigned to a room on the second floor - as soon as I stepped on the room I could hear the people above me and had ourselves reassigned to the 4th floor. Made all the difference in the level on noise and quite night of rest. Hottub could be a big warmer and it almost looks stained or dirty at first glance. We will absolutely stay at this hotel again in our travels as long as we can stay on the 4th floor.”

“We booked a 2 bedroom suite for a small New Years gathering (4 ppl). Of course we did our own wipe down, but the rooms, bathrooms, and kitchen were clean and modern. The staff was friendly and helpful and I liked having a garage connected for parking. My friends and I absolutely loved the fire pit down on the patio. Shout out to the guy working the breakfast station. SO helpful and accommodating. Good standard breakfast options but as for most hotels, if you're vegan/gluten free (or are avoiding bread and potatoes) your options become a bit limited. You do have your own kitchen (with refrigerator, stove top and microwave) so you can always bring something. Overall, very satisfied and pleased with my stay.”

”This was our first time at the Fife and Drum, and we really enjoyed it! The staff is super friendly and very helpful. The cost is honestly more than we typically pay, but it was worth every penny given the location. We were in Williamsburg for the Grand Illumination festivities. Because of the location of the Inn, we were able to walk to everything which was great! We would definitely consider staying there again.”

”This was our first stay at this location. The room was very clean. The bed was perfect (for me) along with the pillows on the bed. The bathroom was perfectly stocked with towels and amenities. The breakfast was fully stocked and had a very nice selection. But most importantly, the staff! The staff were amazing, courteous and very friendly. A special shoutout to Tasha for her extremely friendly personality, awesome smile and superior customer service! We travel through here each year at this time and will definitely make this our resting point! ”Right off the highway, just over the bridge from the National Park, super easy to find. Didn't arrive until after 10pm and everyone was so nice. The room was very nice, temp was comfortable in the room when we arrived. The complimentary breakfast was great, nice selection of choices, cereal, sausage gravy and biscuits, the makings for breakfast sandwiches or waffles, muffins, yogurt, 3 kinds of juice plus coffee. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.”

”We stayed here on a road trip from NY to FL. We arrived very late at night and checked in on the app and used a digital key to access our room, which was great since we had little kids and wanted to get them in to bed quickly. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. The hotel was quiet. Breakfast was delicious. This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It is a perfect place to stop and we will definitely be staying here again.”

”Beautiful hotel. We paid extra for the balcony room but when we arrived the humid weather had the door stuck. Manager reimbursed me the money I had paid for the upgrade! Nice! Breakfast was delicious and ambience very relaxing. We will definitely stay here again.”

”I am a frequent traveler and a Hilton Honors member and have stayed at many hotels. We had a really bad experience when we stayed here recently. We loved the opportunity to select our room online as Honors members. In doing so, we were offered an upgrade for drinks and snacks which turned out to be very lame. Don’t do it! Also, when we checked in, our floor was very sticky and needed cleaning. We reported our dissatisfaction with the value of the upgrade and the sticky floors to an older woman at the front desk who I suspect was a manager. The older woman there was very snarky and basically did not care. She sent a man up with a dry swifter mop and a spray bottle. He sprayed the floor and dry mopped it but it did not help so we just gave up on getting it fixed. The manager response below that she reached out several times to ask about it is ABSOLUTELY FALSE. She never once reached out to us by phone or I. Person or at the front desk, not once!!! In addition, the bedding was worn as well and looked old and in need of replacement. We also complained when we complained about the sticky floor about the snack and drink situation and we were told BY THE SAME WOMAN that she would only allow us to exchange one drink for another drink. We told her that if we had known how lame it was, we would not have paid for that. Again, she was clear that this was the only option. The fact that the manager would lie in her response is extremely disappointing and I will be contacting Hilton on this. This hotel is extremely disappointing and we stay at a lot of hotels and travel a lot but this is probably one of the worst experiences I have had and was only made worse by the lies written in the below response. Be assured, we wholly recommend you not waste your time with this place!”

”My sister and I came to check on my nephew who plays football for UVA. My sister arrived first. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by the front desk attendant. I didn't get her name, but she was there every day we were there and was very helpful. The first room we were placed in had an issue with the hot water, but we were able to get another room no problem. Breakfast was nice and each and every person we encountered who worked at the hotel greeted us, was friendly and had good customer service. We enjoyed our stay.”

”Rooms are very clean but old. Very sparsely furnished with mismatched decor left from previous renovations - modern, old modern and traditional...all mixed up. No coffee table in sitting area, just two ottomans which you know folks put their feet on. Do I really want to put a plate, cup or laptop on these? TV stand is a twin bed headboard... very big spaces, good for family of 6-8 I guess. Sort of set up like Disney world room. Has fridge and microwave as well as an eating table with 2 chairs.”

”Exceeded our expectations. Room was clean and pretty. We got a corner room right by the neon sign and I just loved the view. I loved how they had so many windows so the room would just lit up, there was a great amount of sunlight coming in which was great. The only thing I would say is the heat was very loud so I had to turn it off because it disturbed my sleep. Location: right at the prime location. Service: we didn’t have any housekeeping during our stay due to our request of privacy but they did have housekeeping everyday, the people was very nice and helpful:) Breakfast was great Front desk was great also”
