“The parking lot is very small. The Chinese Food is the best that I have ate in 40 years. There are a lot of people that place orders in person to pick up and come to place orders in person. You may ask questions about the different dishes and the waitress will answer. The portions are large and delicious to eat. The booth was comfortable to sit in. The atmosphere was average. I was to impressed by the delicious food I was eating!!”

“Its worth the wait. First time trying and likely last as the owners are getting a well-deserved retirement. We waited roughly 3 hours in line and got multiple 554's and their wonton soup with noodles. When I tell you places don't make it homemade like this anymore. I'm serious. It's so comforting and tasty. It made that long wait worth every second, and I'm glad to have gotten a chance to try this magical wonder that's been around for a long time. I hope the staff are loved for all of their hard work!!”

“The place looks a bit too authentic, but the food was great. We especially loved the minced chicken on lettuce cups, they came as 4 cups, and were refreshing. I would say a reasonable couple could easily just order the combination plate and be full. We ordered way too much. There was also complimentary tea which was fun.”

“The food was delicious! Both entrees had great flavors and nice portions (we took most of both entrees home). The beef on the appetizer plate was very, very tasty. We didn't eat the calamari ringa because they were rubbery. Otherwise, everything was excellent. The server was very pleasant and attentive. We ordered an appetizer and had just about finished when our entrees arrived. The place was very empty but it was Christmas Eve. The only downside was the bathrooms. Both bathrooms were unkempt and dingy looking. It's an old building, so it may just look dingy because of the age. We will definitely return to try other dishes.”

”Highly recommend shredded chicken and salt&pepper pork chop. The food was GREAT, and surprisingly affordable. Definitely will go back. Note that they have a long line though - we got there at 5pm for dinner and there was already a line and the line kept getting longer.”

”Love their tea and blended drinks. For food the dumplings and the popcorn chicken are delicious. I haven't tried the rest of the menu items but so far I highly recommend the Love potion #3 perfect for a hot day. Worth driving 2 hours here. Service can be a hit or miss. Just depends who is working. Even if you ask a question courteously they're always answering with you can look at the menu with attitude. I've gone on a slow day with no customers ordering and one or two sitting on the tables. I recommend ordering ahead instead.”

”We have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant since we moved to Texas. A coworker told me about this place, so we had to give it a try. I ordered General Tso's chicken, and my spouse ordered curry chicken with an order of crab Rangoon. The people were very nice and attentive. They made sure everyone was taken care of. The crab was good, a little more cream cheese than in used to buy good. My spouse said the curry was some of the best ever tasted. The General Tso's was more like sweet and sour chicken. It had no heat, which is normally good, but I like it with a little more heat. The meal had great flavor, and I enjoyed it. It just wasn't what I expected.”

”It’s hard to find good Chinese food but that place has it. The war won ton soup is my favorite. The dumplings and broth is so flavorful. They are open late so that’s a plus.”

”Maybe we ordered a wrong dishes, however, didn’t really like the sauce both dishes were soaked in. Sesame beef and eggplant and garlic sauce. We’re just covered in this distinct taste sauce that changed the flavor of the dish. Beef tasted like it was deep-fried prior to sauced. Had to wait for the service as the place was backed on Sunday around 5 PM. By the time we got the dishes, our two year old has drained our brain. The interior of the place is a bit of the older style. Especially that restroom. Blue sign shining in the dining area. Prices are at the higher end. The meal for two turned out to be over $70. We might give this place another try, but not in the near future.”

Lucky Eight

”While this spot may not look like much from the outside it’s a solid choice for great food. We decided to explore the Sunset Park area, and while browsing reviews, menus and windows, we settled on Lucky eight. To be 100% honest there were at least three groups of women that went in before us, and to me that was an indication that the food must be good as they might traditionally be the ones preparing food in their homes, and if they want to eat here, so do I . The dining room is simple with a tank of lobsters and fish when you walk in, not all looking that spry but who would. We ordered slightly blindly off the lunch special menu, which was a great value. The egg drop soup was delicious and all of the other portions were quite large. Sweet-and-sour chicken scored, high marks, and there was some “boiled chicken” that came with a delicious ginger garlic sauce on the side that I can highly recommend. We always order snow pea leaves as they are often super fresh and delicious and that is exactly what we received here at Lucky eight. Another great choice if you want to get your greens in. I had wanted to order roasted pork ribs, but ended up with sweet-and-sour pork, which was good, but was heavy on the pineapple, I should be expected, my bad. The tea was on the table instantly and dark and delicious. The service was jovial and fun and efficient. If you were in the area and looking for a quick and easy lunch this is a great option.”

”I went here all the time in high school and loved it. I came back for the first time in maybe 20 years last weekend. I was afraid it wouldn't live up. It had changed a bit, scallion pancake is now scallion pie and it's been changed, the general gaus chicken is a bit less crispy, but I have to say, overall, I think it's still my favorite chinese place in MA, even considering it's the fairly obvious American Chinese Food menu. When I'm around Concord, I'll continue to come here to eat.”

”Very authentic Hong Kong style street cuisine. I've never been disappointed by any of the dishes I've ordered. HongKong style Cantonese flavors abound. This place has maintained its standard for as long as I know. This fixes my needs when I felt that I needed Hong Kong street food. They take cards and e-payment now! Used to be a cash only place.”

”Ambiance (4/5): We came in at 1:30pm on a Saturday for dim sum and from the back entrance where there was plenty of parking. It was half cleared out already so it wasn’t very noisy. The inside is well lit and clean. Service (4/5): The staff seated us right away. There was plenty of staff members bustling around to clear plates. They provided a fresh set of plates when the chow fun came out! Food (3/5): $1 per person for tea. The dim sum dishes ranged from $3.95 to $10.95 where most of the ordered dishes were around the $5 range. Sadly, some were served cold/warm instead of piping hot. Beef Chow Fun (Dry) $17: It was served in an enormous bowl so there was plenty to share. The beef slices were super tender! The flat noodles were cut a bit too thin (personal preference). Glutinous Rice Dumplings (Hom Sui Gok): This dish was supposed to be served hot were actually cold. The inside of the pork/shrimp stuffing tasted really fishy. Fried Sesame Balls (Djeen Dui): This was really tasty! The inside wasn’t super sweet and the outer fried dough was crispy. Not sure warm but still crispy. Steamed Pork Ribs (Pai Gwut): This was also good. Tender bites and good flavor. Tofu skin roll: I liked this and the 3 pieces were thick and stuffed. Other dishes ordered but not tasted: Pork Siu Mai, Cheung fun”
