“I had got the turkey leg with the seafood dressing and shrimp and i was so disappointed! I was super stoked to try it and the dressing was very burnt and salty. I immediately tasted how burnt it was it was like she gave me the burnt bottom of the pan. Honestly that was just not a good business decision to put out food that isn’t near perfect. That was the most expensive menu item they had for $32 and shouldn’t have been served in that state. The shrimp, turkey leg and the sauce was great though the actual dressing was just terrible. My bf got the turkey leg with red beans and rice and it was aesthetically pleasing and did have a good taste but they just needed to have out more sauce because under the first layer was just all white rice no sauce. Overall i think i might come back but just for the turkey leg by itself. We also got the large gumbo and it had a very fishy taste. Mind you i know gumbo is typically made with a seafood stock but the taste was more fishier than I’ve had else where.”

“This is my second time at Jefe Urban Cocina and I'm so glad I went back. I ordered the same things as my first time: strawberry margarita and the jefe sampler. Both were delicious and I like the option to try all their available sauces (the mango habanero salsa is a ⭐️. This time I tried the Carne Asada and it was spectacular. The meat was on point, the mashed potatoes full of flavor, creamy and chunky at the same time, the star was the chimichurri that complemented the dish perfectly. I was impressed with this dish and will be back for it. The restaurant has a very romantic and cozy atmosphere, the service is fast and exceptional.”

“We loved our first time at North of Bourbon. Our lunch was spot on. The Shrimp Poboy was truly authentic with a great baguette, crispy shrimp, dressed and delicious. The Smoked Chicken salad was very good and the Mac n Cheese hot and cheesy! The bartender was excellent and offering a special drink each day until Christmas. The favorites will find a spot on the next menu. To conclude; delicious food, great service, wonderful ambiance and a large selection of Bourbon. What more could you want?”

“We stopped here to stretch our legs and to rest for a spell. This small little spot was packed. It took me a minute to realize we could sit ourselves and that we had to order at the bar. The restrooms are single/gender use. Hubby ordered the Sicilian w/ a side of potato salad, and I had the Club w/ a side of fries. Everything was cooked good. I got the vibe it is like a sports bar since NC A&T is around the corner. Overall everyone was welcoming and the food was spot on. If we ever find ourselves back in NC then we will stop in again”

“I've been going here a while and it just dawned on me I've never reviewed it. This is one of my favorite local restaurants for a few reasons. The service is second to none. I bring my little boy here and have been on dates here as well. Each and everytime we are treated well with prompt service no matter who our server is. They have a well rounded menu so whatever your in the mood for. The Cajun Pasta is absolutely delicious. The last thing I got from there was through doordash. I got the house salad with blackened chicken and Yukon garlic gold mashed potatoes on the side. It was so good I'm still thinking about it.”

”I didn't eat here, except for free spaghetti cooked as a tail gate meal. I'm not sure if the person that cooked it was an owner or just a loyal patron. The atmosphere was fun and inviting. The drinks were a bit on the higher end, but for the crowd draw, acceptable. The bar had plenty of room indoors and out, with a full bar at each. The atmosphere was festive and friendly, and the view on the creek was great. I highly recommend a stop in.”

Mann this was the best NOLA food I had on my birthday trip and wish I could have experience the menu better. That bread pudding was the bomb!! It had corn on top! The mixed drinks were terrible (Hurricane and Margarita). They were almost not drinkable (strong, with almost no flavor, very watered down). The oysters were salty but good. The fries were great! The food was way better than the drinks, which was not expected, since it's a bar.”

”This is the worst restaurant on the face of the earth. I keep trying to give them a chance, but they disappoint every time. Something is always wrong with my order, and I've had enough. I'm literally sitting at my desk about to cry because I have a dry salad with raw ingredients that I cannot eat. I ordered the Shrimp, Crab & Avocado Salad through Major Menus. The shrimp was raw, the avocados were not fresh, and they did not give me any dressing. This salad was too expensive for such a huge mistake. I called the restaurant to try to get it resolved through them first before contacting Major Menus, but no one answered the phone call. This is unacceptable.”
