We camped in a truck camper and it was tight. We camped in site 17. Could not take the camper off the truck and have room for the truck. But do not let this stop you from visiting this stunning NP. “A hidden gem on the Texas coast, not sure I want to advertise that. All spaces are concrete, 30/50 Amp service, water and sewer. Spaces are tight, close together. Park caters to the great bay fishing. They have bait, ice, and tackle in the shop with a Hugh aquarium. The park is gated and has a clean laundry. The jetty and piers have bright lights to attract the fish at night. Clean showers and bathrooms. Outside rows A and F are much preferred as they back up to the water. Fire rings at each site. Fish cleaning stations near each area. The staff is very helpful and friendly, Park rangers are on staff and helpful answering questions about fish and animals in the area.”

“We loved our stay here! We booked the king bed patio room in Los Portales, and it did not disappoint. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had amazing water pressure and was just really nice. We took full advantage of the fireplace in our room too (December visit). The grounds and entire complex were beautiful, and we did a quick visit to the gardens and those were nice too! Highly recommend this gem!”

“7F lodge made me and my wife's wedding so easy and a breeze. they took so much off my shoulders, i really didnt have much to plan thanks to the all inclusive package they had. Ginger and Lisa kept me up to date on any thing i needed to make a decision on soon and day of there was little to no stress thanks to them and their planner! every vendor their associated with is absolutely amazing and i highly recommend going with any one they suggest as its a lot less stress. they provided pretty much all the decorations, i bought somethings to throw in but most of it was from their decoration barn. even after our wedding ginger and lisa still kept in touch with us and when i dropped one of our wedding glasses they were nice enough to replace it for us and im so greatful as those cups are such a wonderful memento of our wedding. i can not thank 7f lodge, their staff and vendors enough for everything and we will 100% be back to stay in the cabins.”

”Went for a day trip from Waco to swim and play with the otters, feed a baby kangaroo, and tour the property to see all the animals. To say it was amazing is an understatement. Kaylee helped us with the otters and kangaroo feeding and she was so friendly and knowledgeable and took many great pictures and videos to capture our experience. The otters all had such fun personalities and were so playful! Smiled and laughed the whole time! Boomerang the kangaroo was so soft and cuddly! The tour of the property was relaxing and beautiful and we got up close to a variety of wildlife. Our guide was very attentive and provided a memorable way to finish our day at the ranch. A very unique and fun experience and would highly recommend!!”

”We called before making our reservations and asked if pets were allowed. We were told “sure”! Second day I noticed the message light was lit. I thought that was weird as I hadn’t left the room because I caught a cold. It was the front desk telling me pets were not allowed. Wait, what?? Whoever took my reservation told me they were!! Totally incompetent staff. Avoid this place. You can find someplace better.”

”The staff are pretty nice, my only complaint is that the room smelled like a dirty animal which I was told is the cleaner that housekeeping uses. My daughter also fell asleep on the floor and broke out in this itchy rash, it didn’t last too long but wasn’t cool. The lady at the front said that some of the housekeeping ladies don’t dilute the cleaner enough so that’s probably what happened, luckily I just kept my daughter off the floor(which i obviously try to do anyway lol) and she was fine the rest of the stay. They have breakfast there which is actually pretty good.”

”Beautiful secluded mini cabins in the piney woods. Massive window on the back of each cabin were angled perfectly to allow privacy and made going to sleep and waking up feel like you were camping but without the bugs. The cabins are clean and comfortable just bring your own French press :) Dog and family LOVED it.”
