“Understated snout to tail butcher based restaurant. Quality is the key ingredient throughout: top quality ingredients, execution, ambiance, and service. The vibe is upscale edgy hunting lodge. I had the antelope lettuce wraps. They were absolutely perfect. The texture. The flavor. The balance of fat to spice. Great use of leftover off cuts of both meat and vegetables. It took what could have been garbage and made it one of the most flavorful, texture filled, and filling lunches I have had in a long time. I adored the fresh house made grapefruit spritzer (I had them hold the simple syrup) which was a great accompaniment to my meal. I enjoyed the French press tea, but would have thought with a French press I would get more than one cup of tea. The house cured bacon 🥓 was a soft chew texture - I personally like my bacon a little crisper - but the flavor was excellent. I will come back again and again. Great spot for the meat lover in your life. Awesome date spot or great for a bro’s brunch. (I saw a few different tables occupied by groups of male friends and/or coworkers.)”

“Good overall. Lots of selections and convenient location. I typically get typical eggs and bacon and they are usually good at these items. Last time, I got a Eggs Benedict and the English muffins used was not the freshest. Plus the hash browns were not really seasoned. Likely, just a one time occurrence and was ok without all the salt/pepper on hash browns . People I was with got a "skillet" item and omelet. Both were good. Check it out!”

”I visited Trez Wine Bar on the recommendation of a friend who joined me for the evening. It was my first time at this establishment, and my friend had praised the ambiance. Upon arrival, the place was dimly lit, and a DJ was playing music, setting the mood. My friend had already ordered gumbo before my arrival, and we decided to take advantage of their happy hour specials. I opted for the Brussels sprouts and a side salad, ordering two servings of each, all of which turned out to be delicious. I chose not to have any meat in my order. While the gumbo was good, it's worth noting that they don't include pork in their recipe. The owner, who also served as our bartender and hostess, came to take our order. However, the DJ's loud music made it difficult for us to hear each other. I have some hearing impairment on my right side, and my friend was seated on my right, making it a challenge to carry on a conversation. We politely asked the owner if we could move away from the speakers to reduce the noise, but unfortunately, it didn't make much of a difference. The restaurant had reserved plaques on some tables, but they remained unoccupied throughout our two-hour stay. Despite the excessive music volume, I did appreciate the music selection. The small size of the venue amplified the loudness of the music, which was my only major concern. Nevertheless, I would consider returning to Trez Wine Bar, although I was slightly irked by the automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill, which seems to be a common practice in Houston. It would be helpful if they informed customers about this upfront to avoid double-tipping. Nonetheless, the brussels sprouts and salad were so delightful that I'm looking forward to another visit.”

Another part of the entire post-pandemic economy that is anti consumer? Or, more likely, haven't put them up yet. Well, if I can see prices before I order, I'll update my review. Until then, your guess what they charge until they charge. I had the breakfast taco special when I came in. It was a brisket & bean breakfast taco. Should have been titled breakfast bean taco with a few bits of brisket, but it still tasted solid. I look forward to coming again and giving better reviews.”

”Busy and lively restaurant, with great customer service and scratch made food. I went for one of their specialty brunch tacos, along with their version of a pig in a blanket (slices of ham wrapped inside of a pancake). The Mrs. went for an egg BLT. The BLT did come dressed with mustard, which did come to a surprise, but she overall enjoyed it. I enjoyed my pig in a blanket, as the pancake tasted great and overall a good portion of food. I was however not too thrilled about the specialty taco, as the brisket chunks were dry. Every other component was exceptional though. In the end, I recommend. 4.5/5”

Areas for Improvement: • We did notice that the service could use a bit more polish. It seemed like the staff might benefit from some additional training and experience. • While our expectations were sky-high, Sixty Vines didn’t quite reach the full extent of the hype. Nevertheless, it was a fun day out with friends. In summary, we had an enjoyable time, and with a little refinement, Sixty Vines could easily become the must-visit spot we kept hearing about.
