One point of note is that there is a local car service available, but I wasn’t aware of this until I checked out. This would have been a nice thing to know about at check in.”

“A trip to Nacogdoches turned into a great travel experience. I discovered the Fredonia Hotel. Updated, clean, comfortable and a great staff. The room was very nicely appointed. “For what we need, the location is perfect. 0.5 mile to the office, a shopping strip mall right behind the hotel, closer to the Star center and the highway. A few decent restaurants around it. It's fairly clean. Breakfast is basic but good. The restroom sink area is very small. I wish the water pressure is a bit stronger or the water flow is faster. The gym has 3 treadmills, one bike, and some weights with a bench, and a couple of mats. They do have a water cooler in the gym which is nice. Limited space, but you can get a workout in if you are not looking for every excuse not to do it. One thing that surprised me is that they don't have a complimentary comb upon request, but it is there for purchase for $3.99. This is definitely the first experience because I never remembered to pack a comb and all of the hotels I had stayed in regardless of the stars of the hotel all have complimentary comb except this one! Hence the 3 ⭐ review. I forgot to mention that the shower sliding door almost fell on me. It is a safety concern in my eyes. Also the gym doesn't have a sanitizer spray and paper towels for wiping equipments.”

”Let's start with the staff when I arrived at the location and went in. I was greeted by Kimberly, aka Kim. She was polite, helpful, and very informative. She took her time to listen to my needs for the stay and my family's needs. She showed great patience and took care of my many needs. Her customer service was world-class. Cleaning ladies... omg, beautiful and super nice. They do an amazing job cleaning and dropping off extra things you may need for your room. Hotel inside and out... Super clean and up-to-date. Staff/ Management When I was ready to check out, I was greeted by Brian. Brain checked me out and was very helpful and gave awesome support. I'm not too sure which staff member had better customer service, Kim or Brian. But they both were super... with world-class customer service.”

”I liked this place, a good-sized room conveniently split into bed and not-bed areas. Nice kitchen area, not fancy of course but fine. And a good price (I stayed at a pretty dead time.) Also, wired internet, a rarity in this day. Big TV in each room. Effective HVAC, if a little loud. Nice bed, couch, chairs, etc etc. Oh, and the b'fast was pretty good. I would have given 4 stars, but while I was there they were doing some cleaning/painting on the exterior of the building. That's fine, and actually nice, in general. However, I walked out of the building one day to find a couple of orange cones behind my car, and a little crane thing right next to it with guys doing exterior work right up above! Some kind of sticky gunk got all over my car, which (thankfully) isn't paint and it comes off. However, I generally prefer not to have my car dusted with gunk by a hotel while I'm parked.”

”Stayed here for a few weeks for a work trip and was always greeted by friendly staff. Room was always cleaned and with fresh towels, bedding, and clean dishes. Hotel was quiet and not uncomfortably busy. Front desk always smiling and friendly especially the one guy at nights he was always friendly and talkative. Great stories and conversation but also helpful! Deserves a raise! Cleaning crew was very thorough and it's very much appreciated! Only complaint could of been limited options for microwavable breakfast but only near the end of the stay did that get old. Would definitely recommend staying here. Thank you for the warm welcome”

”Friendly service and nice location by campus and stuff to do. The rooms are dated and the shower temperature is very wonky. The first day it was scalding and I had to mess with it for 20 mins and eventually figured out if I ran the hot at the sink faucet and shower, it would be tolerable for showering. The next day it was cold. They have these curved shower rods, which is fine and great, but the curtain was about 2" too short so it hung outside the tub wall and got water all over the floor. The onsite restaurant was ok, but the server may also be your bartender and your cook. The Austin street tacos are the best thing to get. The wings are a miss - over cooked and the burger I had was charred. If you plan to do work in their lounge, be aware there's only like 3 power outlets on the whole main floor.”

She didn’t like that. Leaking attitude. She then proceeded to tell me and my mom that there were complaints about noise from our room. We had simply been talking and that’s it. No music. No loud TV. ”We had 2 rooms for a pre-cruise stay, and we added on breakfast when placing the reservations. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was fine. Shuttle from airport was a bit slow to arrive but the driver found a way to fit everyone who was waiting. The exceptional part of my stay was the day shift from desk staff, Jose. There was an incident where my phone fell down the elevator shaft and hour before leaving on our cruise. I knew there wasn't enough time for it to be retrieved before we left, but Jose assured me they would get it out and hold it for me. Six days later, I picked up my phone. Luckily my case and screen protector did their jobs and it was in perfect condition. Big shout out to Jose and staff who followed through on everything they promised. Who needs a phone on vacation anyway?!?”

”We were married here 10 years ago right after the renovations were completed. We went back recently to have drinks to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and I have to say it felt dumpy. The drinks were the best part but even that was missing the mark. When you ask for a dirty martini and it is delivered in a wine glass because “we are out of martini glasses” doesn't give the 4-star experience we were looking for. We ordered their flat bread, which tasted great, but that took 45 min from order to delivery to our table. The floors were dirty and the furniture could use some reupholstering. The staff were gossiping behind the bar and the curtain to prevent you from seeing the kitchen area could use some love - It reminded me of a shower curtain. Overall, it was sad to see that the pride in appearance that was their 10 years ago was missing. It’s the little details that make or break an experience and this was missing the mark for me. I almost wish I had not gone back as to not ruin the memories of what amazing service we experienced when we were married there compared to today.”
