Hannah at the front desk solved a minor issue with my original reservation with absolutely no complications. This is a terrific hotel. I can’t say enough about the restaurant, The City Cafe, the food is excellent and the wait staff is terrific.”

“From the moment we arrived at our cabin, the weekend stay was wonderful!! We were greeted by the owner, letting us know to contact him if we needed anything, and that he lived there on site, along with the maintenance crew! When we picked up our key, we were also greeted by the most welcoming young man, also stating to let us know if we needed anything to be sure and let them know! The uniqueness of our cabin made our stay so enjoyable; so many one of a kind, special touches throughout our cabin made things so fun! There is so much history at this place!! It is literally just a couple of minutes from downtown, but the country feel on the private 26 acres just made it!!❤️ We had chairs right by the river, it was so peaceful and just beautiful scenery! The Club restaurant was on site, which made it so convenient! The food was outstanding and the live music was great! Such fabulous ambiance! Again, the owner was there at the restaurant, making things so personable and making everyone feel so welcome!! We have definitely found our new place to stay when we go back!!🥰”

“We have had a great week. We reserved 3 units (2 x 3 bedroom and a 2 bedroom) and had 15 people and 3 babies. Everyone enjoyed the rooms and the activity area. The views are stunning. Everything is so peaceful. All of my pictures are of the 2 bedroom suite. I was very pleased with how well equipped the kitchens were.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed the experience staying here! It was our first time staying in a teepee, in December no less! The propane firepit and heating pads on the beds kept it warm enough for us (we also slept in sleeping bags on top of the beds for extra heat). The shop is adorable, the staff are friendly, and the grounds are whimsical. It's located just off a busy street, so if you're a light sleeper like me, the constant sound of cars throughout the night made it challenging to sleep. I think next time, we'll stay in something that will buffer the sound of traffic!”

”Staff was very friendly! Room was about as expected. Although whatever chemical cleaners they used left a filmy residue on the floor and all surfaces. I felt slimy and the chemical fragrance was nauseating. I can't wait for public places to realize chemicals are harmful and start using natural products. The biggest problem was the EMF radiation I felt for 2 nights there. It buzzed my entire body and I couldn't sleep the 1st night and the 2nd was worse. I had a migraine and couldn't wait to leave there, I'm so glad I only booked 2 days/nights. You can see a huge power plant right outside my window here in my photo. Also annoying was the Major construction on the road in front of the hotel. Hazardous if unfamiliar with the area and approaching from the East headed West and trying to make a left turn into their drive.”

”I stayed here 13 Nov - 17 Nov. The staff was nice and friendly, yet, didn't seem to communicate well with one another. I received two calls about needing my orders or I would be charged for breakfast; when they just needed a tax exemption for completed. Although the time posted for breakfast Mon - Fri states 0600 - 0900; on Friday's it's from 0700 - 1000. I found out coming down at 6:30 am. No sign. No notification. My room was fairly clean, but I found areas where the bathroom was not properly cleaned, supposedly vacuumed carpet had some residual dust/dirt left behind. Initial day using the gum, no wipes were available for the equipment. Also, one day when leaving, I saw a sign on a four (3 doors down from me) stating there was a pest treatment going on in that room. When I inquired about it, I was told it because the person who had the room had a pet. I don't know, but it made me very uncomfortable. *Sodas we're available for purchase on my initial day. Thereafter, all sodas were removed from the fridge with a chain and lock placed on the fridge. I'm not sure what was happening, it just wasn't a good stay for me. Maybe they are preparing for renovations and things were a little off track. At least I hope that was the issue.”

”We had 2 rooms for a pre-cruise stay, and we added on breakfast when placing the reservations. Rooms were clean and quiet. Breakfast was fine. Shuttle from airport was a bit slow to arrive but the driver found a way to fit everyone who was waiting. The exceptional part of my stay was the day shift from desk staff, Jose. There was an incident where my phone fell down the elevator shaft and hour before leaving on our cruise. I knew there wasn't enough time for it to be retrieved before we left, but Jose assured me they would get it out and hold it for me. Six days later, I picked up my phone. Luckily my case and screen protector did their jobs and it was in perfect condition. Big shout out to Jose and staff who followed through on everything they promised. Who needs a phone on vacation anyway?!?”

”No complaints here. The staff was really friendly. The room was nice and clean. Had access to the fireplace near the pool. It's near Main St so we were able to walk right over and site see. We were on the inside facing the pool which for me was nicer than facing the parking lot. Breakfast was hot and ready both mornings I was there. Would definitely stay again.”

”We were married here 10 years ago right after the renovations were completed. We went back recently to have drinks to celebrate our 10 year anniversary and I have to say it felt dumpy. The drinks were the best part but even that was missing the mark. When you ask for a dirty martini and it is delivered in a wine glass because “we are out of martini glasses” doesn't give the 4-star experience we were looking for. We ordered their flat bread, which tasted great, but that took 45 min from order to delivery to our table. The floors were dirty and the furniture could use some reupholstering. The staff were gossiping behind the bar and the curtain to prevent you from seeing the kitchen area could use some love - It reminded me of a shower curtain. Overall, it was sad to see that the pride in appearance that was their 10 years ago was missing. It’s the little details that make or break an experience and this was missing the mark for me. I almost wish I had not gone back as to not ruin the memories of what amazing service we experienced when we were married there compared to today.”

”Wow, what a hidden gem. So close to the bustle of historic Gruene but so quiet and peaceful. My wife and I booked a room to celebrate our 30th anniversary and totally enjoyed the stay. Gruene Hall and the Gristmill are a short walk away, so we enjoyed some great music and food. Breakfast at the hotel and wine in the evening was a real treat as well.”

”7F lodge made me and my wife's wedding so easy and a breeze. they took so much off my shoulders, i really didnt have much to plan thanks to the all inclusive package they had. Ginger and Lisa kept me up to date on any thing i needed to make a decision on soon and day of there was little to no stress thanks to them and their planner! every vendor their associated with is absolutely amazing and i highly recommend going with any one they suggest as its a lot less stress. they provided pretty much all the decorations, i bought somethings to throw in but most of it was from their decoration barn. even after our wedding ginger and lisa still kept in touch with us and when i dropped one of our wedding glasses they were nice enough to replace it for us and im so greatful as those cups are such a wonderful memento of our wedding. i can not thank 7f lodge, their staff and vendors enough for everything and we will 100% be back to stay in the cabins.”

”Heat was out in our first room, they moved us to a second room with no hassle, but it was a smaller room whoch was sad. Heat was blowing cold in that room too, but the front desk got maintenance in to fix it and the rest of our stay was pleasant. Spent a week there and was never bothered by noise or anything. Only bad thing was the elevator always smelled like weed, but that's not within the hotels control. I'd stay there again. The staff were all very kind and helpful.”

”It’s a lodge so don’t expect a lot. But the room we got was renovated and we liked it. It’s a drive to get here from the ghost town or the national park and the last 3 miles are not paved. If your car can handle it then you should be fine. Also there is no cell service and WiFi is spotty, so good place to be disconnected. The cafe here is good.”

”This hotel is small but adorable. It is well decorated and taken care of, too. The location is perfect for walking to office buildings, stadiums, and local food spots. The staff are amazing and really make everyone feel like a VIP. The regular rooms do not have a mini fridge but there is a well-stocked snack area on the first floor.”
