“My visit to this car dealership in Lubbock was disappointing. Initially, Michael, the salesperson, was helpful. I was interested in upgrading my BMW to an Audi, test-driving an S5 and a pre-owned GT Etron. While I was test driving the S5, another person showed interest in the GT Etron but didn't purchase it. When I wanted to test drive the Etron, the salesperson informed me that I could only do so after completing a credit application based of his manager’s saying. The manager, Nic Niglio, seemed to judge my financial capacity based on my appearance and race, refusing the test drive without a credit check. This experience was the worst I've encountered at any dealership in Lubbock. They insisted on a credit check before finalizing any decision on a car or price. I strongly advise considering other dealerships of Cavenders like BMW, Mercedes, or out-of-town Audi dealers in Dallas, Austin, or Albuquerque, where people aren't judged based on appearance or race and aren't pressured into a credit check before final decisions are made. I won't be recommending this showroom to anyone, including friends and family. If there was option, I would give 0 star to the manager and 4 star to Michael for trying.”

”We have visited to get a used vehicle here from a reference and the day one was a great experience. The service executive is calm and polite, helped us a lot. Unfortunately we noticed couple of issues on the used vehicle and we couldn’t move forward with the deal. Later we visited to check out few other options but the next time another person comes to us it was not so great experience. It was not professional at all and the person seems to pay no attention to us. It looked like they have no interest into getting into a deal. Forcing to take their own finance and no interest to wait. Well, we don’t have to visit this place again.”

”Very helpful respectful young man named Adrian helped me in my purchasing of the vehicle a 2021 Honda passport the car itself is good, but it was sold almost the same way it was traded in. The exterior of the vehicle was fine but the interior was not. It was very dirty the gauge cluster was stained and cloudy from being sprayed with armor all and one of the tire valve caps was missing. No follow up after the sale and after mentioning the issues that I had been handed down with the vehicle no one bothered to call and check up after I raised my concerns. Felt as though I was a second rate customer who didn't deserve to be treated the same as the customers who purchase new vehicles especially the brands they sell. Until the issues are resolved I will share my experience with family and co workers, friends and caution them about my experience if they are looking for a good CLEAN pre-owned car. After no luck on my third visit at the dealership I just rather hire a professional and pay the $100 to have it done correctly and not bother with his dealership again.”

”James Wood Dealership is where you need to buy your next vehicle! I was looking for a new 2024 GMC 2500 AT4. I called the store and spoke to Michel. Prior to contacting James Wood, I reached out to about 5 different local GMC dealerships. Unfortunately, their inventory on the lot was actually in transit or already sold, despite what their websites said. I asked Michel if the AT4 listed on the website was available, and he confirmed that they are on the lot and invited me to come take a look at it. He did mention that there were a couple of other interested buyers in the same AT4 model I was considering, just to inform me so I wouldn't waste my trip up to Denton. However, I assured him that I am a serious buyer and would still be coming in. Michel didn't pressure me into buying a vehicle, and when I arrived at the dealership, I noticed other people were also looking for the AT4. I brought in two trade-in vehicles, and his team promptly appraised them. The price offered wasn't extraordinary, but it was comparable to the appraisals I received from other dealerships. Due to the current car market and high demand for the AT4, I didn't get an outstanding deal, but they made it clear that they don't engage in market adjustment markup or add dealer accessories like nitrogen air. Throughout the process, Michel and his manager were upfront, honest, professional, and very friendly. We arrived close to closing time, so we filled out our application and heard from Michel the next day that our truck was ready to go. He had the truck detailed and prepared when we arrived, so we quickly signed the papers and were on our way. Having bought and sold cars many times, I can say that this was, by far, the most pleasant dealership experience I've ever had. Michel's expertise exceeded that of any 25-30+ year veteran salespeople. He made sure we understood everything we were signing, walked us through our new vehicle, and had us in and out in no time. Tanner was at least nice. These people take advantage of you. DO NOT RECOMEND. Conflicting information was given. One person said it was repaired the other said it was not.”
