“A trip to Nacogdoches turned into a great travel experience. I discovered the Fredonia Hotel. Updated, clean, comfortable and a great staff. The room was very nicely appointed. Hannah at the front desk solved a minor issue with my original reservation with absolutely no complications. This is a terrific hotel. I can’t say enough about the restaurant, The City Cafe, the food is excellent and the wait staff is terrific.”

”We had a great time at this hotel! The breakfast was super yummy (tamales, Texas-shaped waffles, eggs, etc) and I loved that they had constant coffee and water throughout the day. Also, the bar in the lobby was great and had very affordable and yummy drinks! The two bartenders (guy and girl) that we met during our stay were the best!! Would definitely stay here again, not only for the great location but also the service and food!”

”For what we need, the location is perfect. 0.5 mile to the office, a shopping strip mall right behind the hotel, closer to the Star center and the highway. A few decent restaurants around it. It's fairly clean. Breakfast is basic but good. The restroom sink area is very small. I wish the water pressure is a bit stronger or the water flow is faster. The gym has 3 treadmills, one bike, and some weights with a bench, and a couple of mats. They do have a water cooler in the gym which is nice. Limited space, but you can get a workout in if you are not looking for every excuse not to do it. One thing that surprised me is that they don't have a complimentary comb upon request, but it is there for purchase for $3.99. This is definitely the first experience because I never remembered to pack a comb and all of the hotels I had stayed in regardless of the stars of the hotel all have complimentary comb except this one! Hence the 3 ⭐ review. I forgot to mention that the shower sliding door almost fell on me. It is a safety concern in my eyes. Also the gym doesn't have a sanitizer spray and paper towels for wiping equipments.”

”Beautiful hotel facilities! Absolutely perfect two night stay!! This was my first experience with the Cambria Hotel brand. I am totally impressed. The hotel facilities are modern and completely immaculate. From top to bottom, this hotel is exceptionally clean! The other "top" attribute is the fantastic, friendly staff associates. Every staff associate I encountered during my stay was exceptionally friendly and polite (an attribute very rare!) The hotel staff associates went out of their way to welcome my colleagues and I. There was simply nothing I didn't like about this hotel property. I was impressed with every detail; modern design and decor, functional floor plan, above average size guestroom and bath. In addition, this hotel is located in a great area, Palm Crossing, where many restaurants and retailers are within walking distance. Plus, the convention center is located adjacent the hotel. When arriving at the hotel you will find a very pleasant, welcoming lobby/registration area with lots of conversation space, including a dining and lounge area and a convenience "grab and go" with lots of food and drink options. Although the weather was not "pool weather " I did take a look and the large pool is very clean and would be really nice on a warmer day. My guestroom was amazing! One of the most uniquely designed rooms I have encountered. Completely modern decor and furnishings, obviously designed with the business traveler in mind. My guestroom was so nice I could live in it! My spacious room included a huge queen size bed, wood flooring (no carpet!), large windows, large flat screen TV, work desk area and sofa, great room lighting and fixtures, mini refrigerator and beautiful art work on the wall (see my room photos!). The bathroom was very large with beautiful, modern fixtures and great lighting, exquisite large walk in glass shower. I am not sure of the hotel's age, but it appears to be new. In fact, the entire Palms Crossing area, where the Cambria is located, looks as if it's brand new. The Cambria Hotel has my highest recommendation! If I could, I would give it ten stars! It certainly deserves ten stars! I can't wait to visit McAllen and the Cambria again soon!!”

”Had a great stay! Loved the pickleball court! They have a really nice pool and lazy river that are both heated, and don't forget to check out the hot tub! Their store is really nice, and you can even get your favorite frozen adult drink there! We had a paw pen site and loved it!! Very dog friendly place, we walked our fur babies around the park and got to meet several other fur babies owners. Would highly recommend this park!”

”I liked this place, a good-sized room conveniently split into bed and not-bed areas. Nice kitchen area, not fancy of course but fine. And a good price (I stayed at a pretty dead time.) Also, wired internet, a rarity in this day. Big TV in each room. Effective HVAC, if a little loud. Nice bed, couch, chairs, etc etc. Oh, and the b'fast was pretty good. I would have given 4 stars, but while I was there they were doing some cleaning/painting on the exterior of the building. That's fine, and actually nice, in general. However, I walked out of the building one day to find a couple of orange cones behind my car, and a little crane thing right next to it with guys doing exterior work right up above! Some kind of sticky gunk got all over my car, which (thankfully) isn't paint and it comes off. However, I generally prefer not to have my car dusted with gunk by a hotel while I'm parked.”

The biggest issues we had was picking where we wanted to eat and hike because the options nearby were so plentiful. Even better than that the staff at our hotel was always present, attentive and enjoyable to interact with. We showed up VERY early to check in and James got everything taken care of in advance to our room being ready that he could. Once the room was ready we received a text message to my phone letting us know which I thought was a neat touch. My sister and I inquired about local things to do and places to hike and were met with wonderful ideas and suggestions!”
