“I liked this place, a good-sized room conveniently split into bed and not-bed areas. Nice kitchen area, not fancy of course but fine. And a good price (I stayed at a pretty dead time.) Also, wired internet, a rarity in this day. Big TV in each room. Effective HVAC, if a little loud. Nice bed, couch, chairs, etc etc. Oh, and the b'fast was pretty good. I would have given 4 stars, but while I was there they were doing some cleaning/painting on the exterior of the building. That's fine, and actually nice, in general. However, I walked out of the building one day to find a couple of orange cones behind my car, and a little crane thing right next to it with guys doing exterior work right up above! Some kind of sticky gunk got all over my car, which (thankfully) isn't paint and it comes off. However, I generally prefer not to have my car dusted with gunk by a hotel while I'm parked.”

“This was a really great experience. I love the Drury Inn chain and was so pleased to see they were available in Texas too. They had fresh popcorn, snack pantry, breakfast, drinks, and dinner. Their pool was clean and everyone in it looked happy. There was also an exercise room and two computers for customers to use. Our rooms were clean and very cozy. This specific hotel was located in a great area, super close to dining, shopping, + entertainment.”

“Pros- -Lobby/first impression is awesome/smelled great! -Rooms are clean, beds comfortable -Location, location,location Cons- -Room 625 smelled awful..like old gas/musty shoes combined -Booked me on the “quiet zone” floor even though in my reservation I obviously had kids. -restaurant had 1 employee trying her best to seat people for breakfast…was obviously being overworked We were there for a soccer tournament and they were an option for the stay in play…so knowing you are going to have a lot of families there I feel they should have been more prepared for that.”

The gentleman that checked us in was also who checked us out the next morning, he was very friendly and professional. The room attendants do a wonderful job as the rooms were very nice and clean. The entire hotel was clean and smelled nice including the elevators! It was very easy to get to and there's so much to do close by. ”Authentic, charming, and great location! In a world of hotel chains commodities, this place stands out and creates a unique experience. Great lobby area, friendly service and really cool rooms and suites. Old west feeling but very comfortable. The rooms were really clean and they did a great job freshening them up each day. We also had a really good meal at the H3 steakhouse right next door. Such a great location as they are so many places to see and visit within a 5 minute walk. The only downside was the hotel does not have a gym. But plenty of places to run and walk around nearby. Wonderful place and we all thoroughly enjoyed our experience. We will be back!”

”Convenient location right off 114 and Kimball next to a gas station. Plenty of parking even though the hotel was busy. Check in was quick especially for a Saturday. Very nice hotel at an affordable rate. Standard king room was about $110 with taxes. The hotel was decorated nicely for the Christmas and holiday season. There’s a lounge/waiting area to the right once you walk in. A huge bar in the downstairs lobby area that also has two restrooms that are a great size. Outdoor patio area is nice and so spacious. There’s a modern fire pit, corn hole, the pool, and a nice cushioned outdoor couch to relax at. My room was very nice and I loved the modern shower. The restroom was fully stocked with shampoo, conditioner, soap, a makeup towel, and plenty of towels. The room had a fully stocked coffee bar and 2 bottles of Evian water ($5 each.) Although it was chilly outside, I did utilize the AC which worked great! The hotel is updated, quiet, and service was great. Upon checking out, the staff was kind enough to offer a to go water/refreshment. This is a good hotel for singles or families. I would stay here again!”

”We loved our stay here! We booked the king bed patio room in Los Portales, and it did not disappoint. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the shower had amazing water pressure and was just really nice. We took full advantage of the fireplace in our room too (December visit). The grounds and entire complex were beautiful, and we did a quick visit to the gardens and those were nice too! Highly recommend this gem!”

”Friendly service and nice location by campus and stuff to do. The rooms are dated and the shower temperature is very wonky. The first day it was scalding and I had to mess with it for 20 mins and eventually figured out if I ran the hot at the sink faucet and shower, it would be tolerable for showering. The next day it was cold. They have these curved shower rods, which is fine and great, but the curtain was about 2" too short so it hung outside the tub wall and got water all over the floor. The onsite restaurant was ok, but the server may also be your bartender and your cook. The Austin street tacos are the best thing to get. The wings are a miss - over cooked and the burger I had was charred. If you plan to do work in their lounge, be aware there's only like 3 power outlets on the whole main floor.”
