“I needed a special place for a special anniversary for my special fiancée. I had reservation options, but I had heard great things about Vic and Al’s, and decided to roll the dice on getting in. Holy &$@*, am I glad we did. We pulled up, and thought it looked packed inside. Girlfriend went in to check, and the look was deceiving - they were definitely busy, but you can sit and order at the bar, as well. When it’s not too cold, there’s patio seating, too. We had catfish atchafalaya smothered in crawfish and shrimp étouffée, and a wood-fired oven-roasted mahi mahi with charred fennel, mashed sweet potatoes and sweet chili glaze. And, of course, the danged corn dogs. An Old Fashioned is a simple thing that is often wrong, somehow, but their corn old fashioned was solid as could be. My fiancée , who doesn’t usually love martinis, declared Winnie Martini one of the best martinis she’s ever had. The Orange Drink (tequila, ginger cayenne simple syrup, carrot and orange juice, with a citrus salt on the rim) was fantastic. But yay, fantastic food and drinks and a cozy, lively atmosphere. What really got us was the service. When everything is so fantastic, they could get away with good or “great” service. It could be super-efficient and servile, or it could have personality but just OK. The staff here gave you the kind of touches and personal attention you’d expect in a more expensive and potentially stuffy restaurant, but with a personality and sense of genuine care. We’ll definitely be back, and we’re bringing friends. I’ve lived in Austin all my life, over 50 years, and this is the sort of restaurant we all want to see survive and thrive. So, go do your part for that - you’ll be rewarded!”

“Great place with great drinks. They had an amateur stand up night and it was super fun! Only criticism was it was incredibly difficult to hear them since the machines were a little loud. Bartenders are just phenomenal and the drinks were delicious! I got the hurricane flavor and it was to die for! I didn't have a chance to eat but their food sounded delicious and some patrons advised me it was really good!”

“A group of us rode our bikes over for Sunday brunch and were impressed by the quality of food and service. My wife and I had the Huevos Rancheros taco, the Eggs Benedict naan, and the Tex-Mex Angus Steak taco. Each one was one of the best we’ve ever had. Others in our group ordered the Little Mexico taco, Mushroom taco and the Redfish taco. Everyone rated their tacos as outstanding. We also ordered coffee and were pleasantly surprised to see that it was an entire pot of outstanding French press coffee. Bonus points for having a bike rack. We will definitely be back soon. Highly recommended.”

“Food and drinks are ordered on an app. Service is fairly quick and the staff is friendly. Mimosa kit is a good value and the food is on point. The place is dog friendly, enough shade and misters over a portion of the tables. There is a pickle ball court and they had a couple of bulls there for photo ops which was interesting. There is lot of parking and definitely a spot I’d return to.”

My order was the lunch special 10wings bone in, and fries. Where are the wings I ordered? Where are the fries? I was handed a bag and so glad I checked it before leaving, I would have been more hot and then you get no sorry we screwed up your order. Just have you paid already? I said that's it no sorry, no discount? Zachary turned the tablet over and said I can give you 20% off. Turns the tablet over for me to pay and walks the heck on back to the kitchen. Now if that's not rude customer service. As American employees we eat here every two weeks on pay day we will definitely not coming back to this wing establishment, because Texas has plenty of wing locations. We have been coming here for years and have never been treated this poorly.”

”After driving past here numerous times, my family & I finally stopped after church last week. BABY LISTEN!!! I'm also a chef, so hear me when I tell you this, the food was Delicious! We all ordered the Catfish, Mac-n-Cheese, Candied Sweet Potatoes, and Greens (Cornbread comes w/ the food). Every single bite was immaculate! The fish was golden & crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. The mac was perfection! And the potatoes were amazing as well. I even appreciated the chef letting me taste test the greens before I decided to order because I don't care for vinegar (I asked, as I know everyone cooks them differently). Although cooked beautifully (not overbearing), I could still taste the vinegar, so I opted for the red beans and rice instead, but my kids loved the greens!👌🏽 The DJ played the right mix of music for a Sunday afternoon (old school, neo-soul & jazz), and it wasn't terribly crowded like I thought it would be. We were seated almost immediately. It's a very nice establishment. The staff are friendly and it's clean. I will definitely be returning. Oh, and that Lavendar Lemonade is tasty, too!”

”I had a craving for some catfish and went on a search for a good spot in Houston. I am orginally from ATL so I search for reviews of places to visit on social media and came across a tiktok and choose Daiqus. I was greeted at the bar by Tee. He was so personable and anticipated my every need. He asked me if I needed help with the menu and took my order quickly. My drink and food came out fast. THE FOOD WAS HOT AND DELICIOUS! I ordered the catfish basket with shrimp... every bite was fresh seafood and freshly fried to perfection. This is definitely my go to spot for catfish cravings and southern food cravings 😋. I had the pleasure to meet Chef Harvey who prepared my food and I personally thanked him. He has a true spirit and appreciation for what he does and it shows in the food he prepares. He brought me a lil bit to try of the greens, yams, mac n cheeae and red beans & rice all of them where delicious. I literally ordered a Mac n cheese on the spot to take home. Ike the other bartender also stopped to check on me during my time here and the guy with the hookahs did as well. Overall EVERYONE was amazing. I'll be back for sure!!”

Wished they offered a smaller count. Will had the burger dipped in wing sauce. It came with a wing on top. The burger was excellent. Only negative is the mixed / bar drinks. Taste like something from a restaurant....chain restaurant. They were weak. My draft beer was excellent. Our waitress was excellent.”

Although this isn't all-you-can-eat KBBQ that I'm used to it was more than enough. for a smaller price, you get the perfect amount of food, without worrying about an upcharge if you don't complete your meal. ”Good Korean restaurant with great food and ambiance to hang out . We love the Korean military hotpot and it is so flavorful . The spicy tofu is so flavorful . The soju and sake are decent . The service is good and cannot complain . The only downside is the wait time . The past few times we have had many hours of wait time even if we show up early as soon as they open . Sometimes we have had 3-4 hours wait time and we chose to go to a different Korean place which has similar food and probably no wait time . They need to work on this aspect to attract more crowd. Otherwise it is a great place overall.”

”This place is a hidden gem. I do not drink alcohol so wouldnt seek out a beer market, but this place had crazy good food. Everything my family ate was freshly made, cooked perfect, and seasoned well. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and everything we ate was top of the line. I can't speak for the bar part of the place, but you cannot go wrong with the food there. The staff were all very nice at least the ones we dealt with; they may hide ones that nobody likes in back but that wouldn't affect anyone's experience. Just kidding, the people in back were probably nice also. I heard there's live music also, I will look forward to trying them out with a show going on.”
