It's Japan At Suisha Restaurant
4.6
( 8 reviews )

208 Slater St., Ottawa, ON K1P 5H8, Canada

“Managed to get a reservation in their Tatami room for my best friends before they close on July 1st. The cuts of fish on the nigiri were much larger than other sushi restaurants, and very high quality. I had no idea that the atmosphere of the basement area would be so well articulated. Lots of interesting things to try on the drink menu and dessert menu. It'll be sad when they close up but I'm so glad I got to experience a part of Ottawa dining history.”

Sushi Housework Les Other Uranium

860 The Queensway, Etobicoke, ON M8Z 1N7, Canada

“Definitely the best sushi restaurant experience I've ever had in Toronto. I've never experienced so many different types of fishes and sashimi before. This restaurant only has two options on their menu, both the pre-fixe menu, we took the smaller one. I wish I could explain each dish in detail, but that would take me hours to write. Bottom line, it was worth every penny. And they have a great selection of saki.”

Hello Sushiman

3885 Innes Rd B1, Orléans, ON K1C 1T1, Canada

“This is one of the best sushi places in Ottawa, definitely the best in Orleans. It's run by a lovely group of people. The location is clean and not really for dine in...but it's an endless take out line. The items are fresh, high quality, etc. I've never been disappointed once. They don't use an excessive amount of rice layer around the sushi components on the inside of the roll. It's probably the only place I've seen do that in this city.”

Cherry House Restaurant

3106 S Service Rd, Burlington, ON L7N 3J3, Canada

“Exceptional experience, immaculate service; the chef is top tier and creates masterpieces for all palates with a concise and refined menu, which also includes kids items so no one is left out. I'm well versed in fine dining, and this restaurant has a bright future for many decades to come. I highly recommend this venue for all occasions where you expect all-encompassing 5 star service, 5 star atmosphere, and most importantly, 5 star cuisine. My compliments to the chef and all staff that made my first impressions one of the best in recent years. Happy holidays!”

“Great little joint at the foot of Old Baldy. Gastro pub fare includes enormous bison burgers (we had them with cheese and bacon), crab cakes, and tofu salad. The brews from Good Lots were very good too. Outside seating near a sunflower garden. Friendly and prompt service.”

“This is the best sushi I've tasted so far, everything was at the right temperature, and in the course meal the food kept coming right when we finished the last bite of the previous one. It was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone who loves sushi.”

“The sushi was delicious and the udon soup was also tasty. A little too salty in my opinion. But I would go back for the sushi for sure. Decently priced as well.”

“Every experience I’ve had here for the past couple years or so has been great. Great food and very affordable. One of best options if you’re looking for Katsu in Scarborough. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. The Honeycomb Katsu is my go-to. But you can’t go wrong with the Brick Cheese Katsu.”

“Small hole in the wall takeout place with excellent sushi rolls. Love the rice to filling ratio of the maki! You can tell by the photos they don’t skimp on the ingredients. Definitely one of the top options for sushi in this price range. Call ahead for your order so they can give you an estimate on when to pick up.”

“Food is fresh and very tasty. The price is getting high. Servers are awesome. They can speak Mandarin and Cantonese too. Clean interior. Nice warm interior design. Free WiFi. Plenty of free parking. The lunch menu has really lowered in selection.”

Moss Teppanyaki & Bq
4.1
( 8 reviews )

8241 Woodbine Ave Unit 1, Markham, ON L3R 2P1, Canada

“Although this offered a different dining experience, I don’t think it was worth the almost $800 we spent here. Pictured here is all we got. Only big ticket items were the wagyu steak and a lobster. I think if the chefs actually put on some sort of show with the fire, that might help to justify the price, but that wasn’t really done here. We just saw the flame shoot up once and that was that. Flavouring was pretty basic as the same seasoning was used throughout - soy sauce, cooking wine and butter. Garlic in a few instances. Really don’t think the price tag matches what we got in the end. Was not a bad experience but would not recommend as I don’t see the value.”

7713 Yonge St, Thornhill, ON L3T 2C4, Canada

“A fantastic experience. The food was superb. The beverage pairings were new and exciting. The service was impeccable from the very beginning. The most interesting thing I found about the cuisine was that the chef used humble ingredients and elevated them to a Michelin Star level. The flavours were perfectly matched with the dish and the accompanying sauce. Atmosphere was perfect, not loud or distracting. The lighting was perfect. Did not feel cramped or over crowded. I would definitely visit again.”

B'spoke Kitchen + Market

55 Collier St, Barrie, ON L4M 1G7, Canada

“Such a unique and gorgeous little spot right downtown. B'Spoke is across from City Hall (Barrie) in the perfect location... slightly off the beaten path off the downtown strip. Very quaint and trendy, with a hip crowd, this place checks all of the boxes. Run as a "market" style restaurant, there are several menus to choose from. Initially, this seemed a bit awkward, but seeing as myself and my group of three all ordered off different menus, apparently it works! (See menus in photos) Their food was incredible. We all said we would be back to try EVERYTHING else. Their drink menu and specialty drinks were like nothing I've ever tasted. That foam you see on top of my special cold coffee was like mousse, in texture. Thick and delicious. Very strong and classy with flavour to match. This restaurant is HUGELY deserving of all accolades. Definitely a different concept, which is extremely refreshing and I'm extremely glad to have tried it. I've already got plans on my calendar to meet friends there. It's a perfect spot for all outings.”

Jt Sushi Restaurant

225 Lakeshore Dr, North Bay, ON P1A 2B7, Canada

“Thoroughly disappointed in all aspects of this restaurant. When I first walked in I basically had to find one of the waitresses myself to be given a table, no one bothered to greet me. As I sat down and was given my cutlery I noticed that the first set of chopsticks I received was broken with massive splinters sticking out. The service was alright because of the robot but other than that my server didn't seem too happy to be there the one time I saw her. The gyoza were alright because I'm pretty sure they come premade, but the rolls weren't very good at all. The edamame was incredibly over salted and the sushi was alright but not good enough to make me want to order more. When I finished my meal I also had to find someone so I could pay and leave. I went in hoping to have a good lunch based on the reviews that I had seen but I left very dissatisfied.”

Mye Japanese Restaurant

“Second time coming here, service is always good and the food is delicious. We really enjoyed our Sushi. We had the lemon and matcha crème brûlée for dessert which was also lovely. I also got some takeaway Salmon teriyaki as well as Sushi, it was packed nicely and the waitress handed me the hot and cold foods packed separately which was really appreciated.”
