“I can not say enough about this wonderful little hotel! We were completely charmed by the art and decor and Crystal at the front desk who was so knowledgeable. The room was a loft which my son absolutely loved, it was clean and comfortable and very large. We spent hours exploring the hotel and checking out all of the art. Each room has a different theme and we will be back to stay in a different room to see all the differences. We wish we could have explored each room and not just the hallways and lobby! It felt like we were in a trendy eclectic gallery and we loved every minute! Thank you so much for an amazing stay!”

“The staff are friendly. The place is tidy and clean inside and out. The suite is very clean and spacious. Very pet friendly. If I had negatives, the continental breakfast was not stocked up as well as it should have been, they kept running out of items before it was over. Also there is kids nonstop running the halls. We've had to call the front desk several times over this issue. I'll be expecting compensation over this.”

“EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE! Everyone and everything was great! We were booked someplace else (near by) and it was scary bad so we nipped up the road to this place. The staff greeted us warmly and I believe her name started with a J, was just lovely!! All the staff were very pleasant! The room was ideal for our needs, featuring thoughtful amenities like delightful snacks and beverages. The view from our window showcased both our vehicles and the bay. Breakfast in the morning was satisfactory, but the standout were the WAFFLES! Absolutely phenomenal – a must-try during your stay. Overall, the visit was fantastic, and I am certainly planning to return!”

“Recently stayed here for a one night staycation with my husband as a break from parenting young kiddos. It was amazing! The service was exceptional.We were upgraded to the suite style room- it has two large TVs, two entrances, and two bathrooms. It included a rainfall shower and soaker tub. It felt very restful and spacey. The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept the best I have in months. Yay, no child wake ups. The room service for breakfast was delicious and very quick. The location can't be beat steps from Rideau Centre and great market restaurants. I have tried a few trendy and central Ottawa hotels for staycations in the past couple of years. They were all great but this experience was my favourite. I hope to go again soon if we can get the grandparents' support!!”

Some hotel atrium noise might be audible depending on which unit you have. Did not have time to try the bistro connected to the hotel but it looked lively at all times of the day.”

“My cousins were in for a birthday weekend and I bunked with them for one night. I've lived in London since 2017, and obviously, never stayed at the hotel before but after the solo night there, I would be happy to do more weekend getaways in town at their hotel. Superb service, and the rooms were quaint and tidy. Only thing is that the bar is no longer there and that the coffee maker didn't work properly. Everything else - fantastic! My cousins were very pleased, as well.”

“The rooms are quiet and spacious enough. The free breakfast is good. They have plenty of free parking. They are pet friendly, and many dogs were in the hotel. This isn't necessarily good because I heard them barking at night, I saw them in the breakfast area, and I stepped in poop in the lobby. Cleanliness is a concern as the hallway garbage cans were overflowing with smelly trash that had not been cleared for days and there was black mould in the bathroom ceiling. There are maintenance issues too. One of the two elevators was broken and the indoor pool was unavailable due to repairs. I stayed for 3 nights and there was no room cleaning service.”

“Came here to do hair and makeup for a wedding. And stayed the night before. The guest services were fabulous. Everyone was very attentive and wanted to help. Even was able to get breakfast a bit early so we could have food beforehand. It was amazing! Tried the pub and the restaurant on the property and both had amazing food quality. The free kayaking was a great bonus!”

“I recently had an extremely disappointing experience with 1Hotel Toronto, which has left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. My issue began when I realized that my Tesla charger was missing from my car after staying at the hotel. I had the hotel charge my car for me during my stay, and I was certain it was left in my car, and since nobody else had used my car, it seemed clear that the hotel staff might have taken it by mistake. I contacted the hotel to report the missing charger, and to my relief, they said they found it and would mail it to me. However, the situation quickly turned sour when I received only the adapter part of the charger in the mail, with the case and actual wire missing. Upon contacting them again to address this issue, I was met with a rather dismissive response. The staff claimed that they would never have used my charger since they have their own. However, this argument didn't make sense as the adapter they returned was part of a set that includes the case and wire, indicating that they must have had the entire set. The conversation took an even more bizarre turn when they mentioned that the adapter they sent wasn't actually mine but was taken from their lost and found. They sent it merely because I reported a missing charger, and they had a spare one. This response was not only unhelpful but also raised concerns about the hotel's handling of lost and found items and their approach to customer service. Overall, my experience with 1Hotel Toronto was far from satisfactory. The lack of proper communication, transparency, and responsibility regarding my lost item has significantly impacted my view of their service. I had expected a straightforward resolution but was met with a series of confusing and unsatisfactory responses. I would caution others about staying here, especially if you value the security and handling of your personal belongings. At best, they lied to me, and at worst, they stole from me.”

“We stayed for 5 days for a lacrosse tournament. The staff were super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. Rooms were clean and we appreciated having a balcony that led outside. 5 min walk to shopping and the Go station was super convenient. Our group received complimentary breakfast that was nothing to write home about but the main menu we ordered from for dinner was delicious. The whole lacrosse team was in the pool at the same time and staff were great with the kids and the parents gathering around the pool. The staff even offered to store our luggage after we checked out so we could enjoy our day without having to haul it everywhere. Definitely recommend for big groups and families!”

“The kitchen was really great came stocked with all the basics. The freezer makes its own ice. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The breakfast selection was decent. The eggs my least favourite but I would jazz them up myself. The pull out bed not comfy and old style with the metal hinges sticking out. I had to put pillows on them so my child didn’t hurt themself. The hot tub isn’t in service which was disappointing because I wasn’t told about this prior to my check in. My child loved the pool, although no showers at the pool. This is a great place to stay if you want to make your own meals, and have the convenience of doing laundry. Lots of great food options in the area.”

“This place is really cool. It's like they're trying to be a new york boutique hotel but some features were really low quality so they don't quite pull it off. Staff was very friendly although the girl was new and couldn't answer some of our questions. Rooms were clean and was excited to try the bath in the middle but the jets didn't work. Didn't feel very safe with the keypad entry in my room with no other lock. Also keypad to enter hotel with a note on the door not to let strangers in...tbh if someone came up while I was going in and said they were staying there too I would let them in. All in all I would stay again it's right by Budweiser Gardens and would recommend this place to anyone.”

“81% Hydro usage increase after tub installed We had our tub installed October 2022, absolutely love it, design, comfort great tub. Our issue started 3 months later, we looked at our hydro bill and our usage increased by 81%. We reached out to store and initially there was a hesitation to believe the tub was the issue, but after extensive testing and analysis we could only come to the following conclusions. 1. There is an issue with the tub and with it being under warranty something should be done. Or 2. Beachcomber Hot tubs aren’t as efficient as they advertise. The head office acknowledges there is an issue , but I can’t get it resolved. I’ve reached out to the store multiple times and the owner now ignores my email, he had no issue taking our $17000. We purchase the Hybrid 590. Let me be clear my KwH usage increased 81% vs 12 months prior. We now use the same amount of hydro every month as when our AC runs in the summer time. (July/August) Again love the tub, hate the response when it’s one of two issues. Hate leaving a bad review on a great company and product.”

“We had our wedding here a few weeks ago. Marlene and Muhammad went above and beyond to ensure that every detail is accounted for, really thankful for them. We hear compliments from our guests about the food and service, very fresh and high quality ingredients. The hotel rooms are not the most modern but they are spacious, and some even include a full kitchen. There are restaurants and lots of activities nearby as well, location is unbeatable.”
