Everyone was so friendly, very helpful, funny, and extremely polite. The attention to detail in our room was fantastic... room was clean and immaculate! We were celebrating our birthdays and other successes and so the team had left us a cute a little note, along with little treats and pretty cool toques! “This place is a gem. We ski frequently at Calabogie Peaks and we took our family of 4 here for the weekend. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. Great location, great views, great pool and amenities, a huge playroom for the kids. Our suite was perfect for having the 4 year old and 2 year old sleep downstairs while mom and dad hung out upstairs at night. Highly recommended.”

“Should you be a fan of awe-inspiring sunsets, selecting a location on the western side will definitely be a decision you won't regret - the views are simply stunning! The campground is serenely quiet, allowing you to connect with nature sans the distractions of parties or music. The staff consistently maintain a cheerful and amiable demeanor, always on hand to help when needed. The shower facilities are pristine and user-friendly, complete with hot water to provide that invigorating experience. Furthermore, there are several spots across the campground where drinkable tap water is readily available, allowing you to refill at your leisure without incurring extra charges. My family and I spent some time here and loved every moment, prompting us to return the following year for an additional week of enjoyment. All the campsites we occupied were beyond satisfactory. Cleanliness was a consistent theme across the washrooms and there was never a shortage of hot water in the showers. The staff, ever friendly and readily available to assist, along with the complementary internet service, added extra delight to our stay. We are eagerly anticipating our next trip back for another week filled with joy. We sincerely thank the campground for creating such a memorable vacation for us.”

“we had a great stay. the hotel was very close to several restaurants, grocery shopping, and activities (like the movie theatre). the hotel even had preferred partners in the area that offer you discounts for being a guest. the hotel was clean and quiet. we also enjoyed the pool quite a bit. the staff were EXCEPTIONAL. everyone was so kind and helpful. the 2 women that ran the breakfast were amazing. they were so sweet and helpful as i wrangled my toddler and our food. the woman from the back stocking the food had my daughter laughing and smiling our whole meal, as she joked and made funny faces with her. she even got a hug goodbye from my little one and went out of her way to pack a goodie bag of snacks for our drive home. “The front desk was extremely unhelpful and dishonest. We checked in around 8:00 pm and the room's deadlock didn't work. We asked for a different room due to safety concerns. The Front Desk Manager Jay told us that all the standard rooms had already been checked into and none were available. When I questioned them on the empty parking lot, they seemed to take back their statement and said they would speak with their manager. Kept us waiting another 30 minutes before miraculously finding another standard room. They could have been nice about the whole situation. Anshuman at the front desk was cordial.”

Chris, the owner, and the house keeper went above and beyond to make our stay welcome. The lobby area is a great space to hang out, play games and to meet other family member's for a nice relaxing talk or watch TV. The morning continental breakfast made for a great start to each day we were there. The restaurant was an added addition to our stay as we didn't have to leave the resort for dinner if we didn't want too. Food was priced good and it was great. “We really enjoyed our stay at the Ivy Lea KOA! This was our first time visiting a KOA so we weren't quite sure what to expect. The staff at the front office was very welcoming. We stayed in the 4-person cabin with the full bathroom. It was the perfect size for our little family. It seemed pretty clean at first glance but I would suggest a bit more attention to detail go in to cleaning between guests. We found quite a few mouse droppings in the cabin, though we appreciate that the cabin was equipped with pest repellent plug-ins. The staff was prompt in addressing an issue with the toilet in our cabin not flushing when we first arrived. After that, we found that the shower was also not draining. Those are probably a couple of things that could have been addressed when the unit was being cleaned before our arrival. The grounds were pretty well maintained, but some work could go into revitalizing the flower beds and areas around the pool and parks since there were a lot of overgrown weeds in those areas. Our toddler enjoyed the park and the pool. We would definitely return for another trip!”

“The hotel itself is beautiful. We held a Celebration of Life this past Tuesday upstairs in a room overlooking Lake Ontario. If not for the dreary day, the view w0uld have been magnificent! I've only given 3 stars for two reasons. Firstly, one bartender for the crowd we brought in, was not enough. She was sweet, but slow, and messed up orders.. straight alcohol orders. The secondary lady (an older lady) left her cell phone in a place near the bar, and it went missing. Which is terrible. However, it seemed that there were insinuations made to the sister of the deceased, that someone in our crowd took it. I had even helped to look for it once she mentioned a description of the cell and case. Nonetheless, things happen, I understand. These were the only two things that could have been handled much better. I hope she found her phone!”

“We stop by for a day trip on Sunday, it’s amazing place, it’s rustic, old charm. There were not too many people around, they let us to use picnic area which is usually reserved for lodge guests, was nice from management and thank you. We did not stay there overnight, but Baptise lake is one of best lakes in East Highland area. The lodge is well organised and clean. We were not sure if restaurants is open or not. If you are in Bancroft area you may want to stop by.”

“This was a stop over on our road trip, close to the highway. There are apparent staffing issues as there were no hot food items for breakfast one morning (with the exception of the pancakes). The second morning was no issue. The pool and hot tub are in desperate need of a proper cleaning and repair. The pool temperature was warm, and chlorine levels were questionable. Room was clean and in good order. It served our needs.”
