“Good location, good prices. It was under renovation and the only reason for the 3 stars were due to the construction workers leaving a mess everywhere. I feel a good owner/manager would have higher expectations or be prepared as the common spaces and entrance had garbage and cardboard everywhere even after hours. I have stayed here before and normally it is a very good spot.”

“I stayed for 4 nights this past weekend with my husband and our 3 kids, and was very pleased with everything! The room was clean and comfortable, the food was great, the staff were super helpful and friendly. The highlight was when we went to go swimming an hour before checkout, and it was closed for maintenance. They quickly offered to call the hotel across the parking lot to see if we could use their pool, and we ended up enjoying an hour of swimming. They also had a highchair in the dining room which is rare to see! Definitely recommend!!”

“EXCEPTIONAL EXPERIENCE! Everyone and everything was great! We were booked someplace else (near by) and it was scary bad so we nipped up the road to this place. The staff greeted us warmly and I believe her name started with a J, was just lovely!! All the staff were very pleasant! The room was ideal for our needs, featuring thoughtful amenities like delightful snacks and beverages. The view from our window showcased both our vehicles and the bay. Breakfast in the morning was satisfactory, but the standout were the WAFFLES! Absolutely phenomenal – a must-try during your stay. Overall, the visit was fantastic, and I am certainly planning to return!”

“We had a wonderful stay over Christmas visiting relatives in London Ontario. We brought 2 dogs with us and there is a great grassy area with trash cans and poop bags. Also a good breakfast available and coffee all day. The staff were very friendly and the room very clean and cozy. Also a pool is open long hours for a nice swim. Will definitely stay there again. “Honestly one of the cleanest hotels I have been too in a while. Besides a small cosmetic crack on the AC exterior and a rusty door in the ceiling (probably to access some plumbing or wiring), it was spotless. No hair in the towels or the showers, no rusty shower head, dirty floors, no dust, nothing. I don't know if this hotel is newer, but it was definitely clean. Other hotels need to take note. Separating a small part of your budget to replacing towels/linen every quarter/6 months or replacing shower heads or toilet seats. No one wants mildew on their shower head, someone else's hair in their towels and sheets/pillows or deteriorating toilet seats. Breakfast was the same the two days I was there, the only thing that changed was the eggs went from cheese omelet to scrambled, and there were potatoes one day and not the other. However, still a full variety. Front desk attendees were all nice, and the on-duty supervisor texts you everyday to make sure there isn't anyone that can be done to improve your stay!”

“Let's start with the good. It's a short list. The setting is quaint and scenic for university grounds. The building itself is tired and badly in need of a good cleanup and painting. The room was a good size but the furniture is very old and chipped. The cleanliness of the room was sub-par. The staff were not the friendliest, not rude. .Just not very helpful. The restaurant has a nice view but again, old furniture and I had to dig down a few plates in the pile to find a clean one. Food was okay.”

“This hotel has been the best value for the price we have ever got for any hotel. The price was excellent. When we had just arrived at the hotel, the exterior of it was starting to look a little old and outdated. Although as soon as I came into the lobby, it seemed as if it was a brand new hotel due to the modern decor. It looked like it got recently renovated. Check-in was very smooth. Rooms were also very modern and clean. The A/C was not so strong, so the room was a little warm. The marble counters in the bathroom were very pristine and unique. Hallways were also in a very unique style. Note that breakfast costs money, so do not be expecting free breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel!”

“This is my second time staying at this location and I am enamoured by how immaculate this hotel is run. Each and every employee goes out of their way to ensure each guest has a spectacular experience. I stayed here back in June for a wedding and Kanishak and Neel deserve huge shout outs for the amazing service they provide. They are both tremendous assets to the Hilton brand and deserve the highest of praises. Coming back to the same location six months and both of them remembered me! Definitely made me feel special and treated me like family. The ladies that handle breakfast deserve recognition as well. They always greet you with an award winning smile and remind me of my grandma. Thank you again to the wonderful staff at this location. I will DEFINITELY be a guest here again during my next travels!”

“It was quite the busy hotel compared to the many others we stayed in of the same calibre but out in Maritime Canada. Rooms were clean and the beds were Queen instead of Doubles which made all the difference for my husband and I. So very comfortable. They do have laundry facilities even though we didn't use it. Great options for the included breakfast. It was all mostly set along a back wall and with the constant droves of guests, there was some back log. Food was replenished quickly though.”

“The check-in clerk was not at the counter when we walked in and it was only 5 PM. She did not explain whether the paid-upgrade we had requested had been processed. I had to ask to clarify as to what kind of room it was. The rooms were great, spacious and clean. The shower, however, did not have enough water pressure. Beds were average but comfortable. The complimentary breakfast had a great variety and everything tasted fresh. Overall, a very good experience.”

“Booked one night in the King Jacuzzi suite yesterday for a birthday celebration. Room was clean, comfortable & spacious. Loved the jacuzzi tub!! I felt so at home & didn't want to leave. Close to highway. As a woman who loves bath & body products, I fell in love with the brand provided called Zero as it smelled amazing, was good quality & cruelty free. Too bad I can't buy them online as they won't ship to Canada. Only issue is that there were kids running around for a bit in the hallway & you could hear them. So not sound proof. I usually find it hard to relax but 30 mins in the jacuzzi tub & I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep. Thankfully the comfy, large bed was steps away. I live in Toronto but if I ever need a break from it all for a day or two, I would book here to rest, relax & enjoy the comfy bed and jacuzzi tub. I can't wait to stay here again!! Very highly recommend this hotel.”

“While visiting Kingston during Christmas time, we came across this beautiful little inn, called them to see if they were OK with a service dog, and they were!! Upon our check-in we drove up to our room not expecting anything extraordinary, Only to enter the room and have the most precious gesture of a dog bed laying on the floor for my pooch, a little mat with food and water dishes cleaned and ready. And the table 🥰 oh bless their heart a little cookie wrapped with a bow for our boy! The room is just perfect for what we need, at every turn or opening a drawer we find "something" toaster tucked away with a kettle, actual ceramic mugs for the coffee they provide, plates and cutlery, a fridge and a microwave! And to top it all a fresh carnation was placed on the bathroom sink! Well done Green Acres Inn you have won our service when we visit from #southwestern Ontario!”

“Truly beautiful location for all seasons, however, the resort itself is in need of updates/renovations. We have been here previously a few years back but it doesn’t seem like changes have been made yet. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. Heads up that they do add on an amenity fee of $30 which is not included in the original total for the room. We didn’t get a chance to use the amenities but it does seem like they have quite a few and both an indoor and outdoor pool which looked nice.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The check in was fast. The rooms were clean and spacious. The lobby and lounge area had lots of seating and food/snacks were available at the bar area. The only complaint I would have is the breakfast. Upon checking in the evening before (Saturday January 27, 2024 @ 4:00pm), I asked the front desk what hot foods they had for breakfast. They said sausage, bacon, eggs, French toast. When we went for breakfast the next day at 7:15 (breakfast starts at 7:00 and ends at 10:00) they only hot foods they had were scrambled eggs and French toast. When I went to the front desk to ask about the bacon and sausage, the young lady (different person from yesterday) answered that they serve whatever they have until it runs out. I said but it’s only 7:15 and breakfast runs until 10:00….and I added it’s the weekend and should have full breakfast available). She didn’t even bother asking the kitchen staff if and when the sausage and bacon would actually be available. We stayed for breakfast until 8:30 and there was no bacon or sausage to be seen. So we stuck to eating mostly carbs - French toast and syrup, cereal, bread, and eggs (which didn’t seem real).”

“Room Comfort but Poor Service🤦‍♀️ The room quality being the only saving grace in an otherwise disappointing experience. The room itself was good, providing comfort and a decent ambiance. However, the customer service left much to be desired. My attempt to use the laundry facilities was fraught with issues - starting with the laundry room having an unpleasant pea-like smell. The logistical challenges continued when I needed coins and detergent for the washers and dryers, each priced at $3. Requests to charge these costs to my room or to use my credit card were denied, and the hotel's attempt to exchange my US dollars for Canadian dollars at a 1:1 rate was absurd. The swimming pool also fell short of expectations, adding to the overall letdown. Furthermore, a seemingly small detail like the absence of cinnamon for oatmeal at breakfast somehow encapsulated the lack of attention to guest satisfaction. Despite these issues, we decided to use the dryer, but ended up with still-wet clothes after wasting both money and 45 minutes, and it wasn’t even a full load. This inefficiency was frustrating. Despite the comfort of the room, these service issues significantly marred my stay, leading me to rate this hotel at just two stars.”
