The Blue Mezze Bar

1480 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10075, United States

“Went there for a birthday party and we were a party of about 20 people and got the space outside in the sidewalk which was very nicely decorated, cozy and heated and nicely lit, felt like our own private party as we were not mixed with any other guests which was great. The service was great, the menu was very nice and once the dishes came out ever hung was very tasty. I ordered an avocado and spinach feta salad which was absolutely delicious with the garlic olive oil and lemon splash, it was refreshing and I loved the texture since it was more of a dip but I love that as you can see from the picture alongside some bread which was also delicious and fresh and dipped into that and then we also had babaganush and I opted not to order it thinking of how it tastes store bought and this was far from it with great texture and taste and smoked paprika to add a new subtle smoky taste which was a very nice touch. I also order a lamb kebab to go which was a nice portion and tender and very tasty and juicy, highly recommend all these dishes. I would definitely go back there again to try other dishes and they also had a great choice of wines and other cocktails. It would be lovely to go there for a nice evening out for delicious food.”

“Really nice in here. A family member comes here all the time and we keep forgetting to go. Finally went today and they had a lot more items than just meats. Ended up getting 4 bags of salad that we can't get at the grocery stores and a bunch of other stuff. Also got broccoli and cheese sausage links. Can't wait to cook them.”

Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs

“Burger Bliss at Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs – A Must-Visit Spot! We just discovered a local hotspot that's flipping some serious game-changers in the burger world: Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs. But don’t let the name fool you; their smash burgers are a headline act you won’t want to miss. Upon entering, my husband and I were struck by the understated yet unique and lively ambiance, reminiscent of an auto repair garage turned diner, complete with mini electric garage doors as bay windows. The air was buzzing with the classic tunes of '80s rock, setting the stage for a dining experience that was both nostalgic and novel. The food, simply put, was a revelation. We dove into the salt and vinegar aioli with our fries, a first for us, and it was absolutely delicious. The aioli was a zesty companion that added a kick of flavor to every bite. As for the burgers, they were smash hits — juicy, flavorful, and satisfyingly messy in all the right ways. My husband’s burger was dressed with a chili meat sauce that was so good it could have a fan club of its own. The burgers at Frank's Gourmet Hot Dogs were exceptionally tender and crafted from premium ground beef, making them not only delicious but also agreeable for those of us with discerning stomachs. Adding to the charm of Frank's was the owner himself — Frank. He personally took our order, cooked our food and served us, making conversation with every patron that walked in the door with a warm and welcoming demeanor. His personal touch made us feel appreciated and valued, which is so rare and refreshing. Although we didn’t get to try the gourmet hot dogs they’re famous for, the burgers were more than enough to guarantee a return visit from us. If the burgers are this good, we can only imagine how delectable those dogs must be. Our curiosity is piqued, and our taste buds are already gearing up for round two. Frank Gourmet Hot Dogs isn’t just serving up food; they’re dishing out hospitality with a side of rock 'n roll and a vibe that can’t be beaten. If you find yourself in the neighborhood, do yourself a flavor favor and swing by. You might just find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even finished your meal.”

Saigon Spring Restaurant

“Really good food. The broth is super flavorful. The crispy spring rolls are everything I crave in a crispy spring roll. Definitely recommend! Much better than 90% of restaurants in this area! Edit: My second time eating their food I decided to actually eat in rather than order out, and I'm so glad I did. That was one of the most pleasant eating experiences I've ever had. The food is truly exceptional. The staff were all super friendly, attentive, and polite. They got pretty busy for the lunch rush and didn't seem fazed at all. I will reiterate that this place is better than 90% of restaurants around the Clifton Park area, and add that I think they might be *the* best restaurant in Clifton Park.”

“The absolute best! From their wine to food to service to their gorgeous backdrop and their amazing house photographer Ms Chris. I can not say enough about this place. We made a reservation, had delicious food and drinks and then we met with Ms Chris right after that for a family photo shoot in their beautiful vines and I can not be happier. Ms Chris is absolutely amazing. So talented, patient and lovely to work worth. Our photo shoot included 2 adults and 3 kids and she amazed us as she snapped perfect shot after shot. Getting 3 kids to smile at once is no easy task!”

Sweet Cake

“Everything we have bought at this bakery has been delicious and all the flavors are super unique which I love. Recently had the Yakult cheesecake and that was fresh, creamy and really tasty. We also got one of the Christmas themed cakes- the strawberry pistachio one, and not only is it beautiful but its also delicious and packaged so nicely complete with candles and plates. The price for it at $38 is also super fair and we even got a complimentary drink when we purchased, which was a lovely surprise. Service here is always so friendly and helpful and it’s also a nice place to sit for a bit and enjoy your sweets if you have time.”

“Probably the best duck I had in New York? Went to this place to celebrate getting a new job. We got the tasting menu and we enjoyed a lot. The duck is probably the best I had in New York. Generally the portion is big but the dishes were paced very well. Service is impeccable too. Would love to come back and try the new menu.”

Little Pie Company

“Nice neighborhood pie shop. It features a variety of pie, bread loafs, and drinks. The sour creme walnut apple pie is our favorite, but the sweet potato, key lime, and cheese cakes also are pretty good. The cool thing about this shop is that the owner is there to make sure things are going accordingly to plan and mingle with the customers. A nice touch.”

“We have been here many times now and I have to say that tonight was the best yet! We shared the birria pizza and it was amazing. So filling and huge that we only had half of it. The salsa has a roasted garlic flavor to it that is just divine. The sweet plantains were made well done just like I asked for and they were delicious. The service is excellent and it’s just a cute little place for a quick meal.”

“I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not. By far the best kosher pizza in town and the top five overall best cheese slices in NYC. Their ingredients taste amazing. This pizzeria knows how to make delicious pizza. This place is a few blocks away from Di Fara. I highly recommend leaving space to try at least one slice from Pizza Time. You will not regret it.”

“It’s a legit food truck with staff and a much better quality product than most of the carts in the area. The gyro and rice is more restaurant style and it’s a legit salad, not a pile of iceberg like the carts. Definitely cleaner too.”

Trader Joe's

“The few mangers I have interacted with at this location are personable, helpful and friendly. I appreciate those workers who pay attention to the small details, such as cleanliness, neatness, asking if a customer needs a cart or basket, looking for a food item in their storage room if it's not on the floor and looking up the item to tell the customer when it may reach the store; serving the customer.”

“Yeah this place slaps. Make a reservation cuz there’s just a few tables. Service was great. Never had deep dish in the city and this place is supposed to be the best. I care not to look at the competition. We got a 12 inch pie w pepperoni, jalapeños & onions and we only made it through 1/2. But you should get the 12 in cuz leftovers are awesome. I’m coming back for the Chicago dog & the thin crust. Thanks Emmett’s”

The Thirsty Koala

“For someone who has a gluten intolerance this place is worth a visit. The majority of the menu is gluten free or can be prepared gluten free and you would never know based on the options and flavors. Great happy hour with some creative cocktails. The service was friendly, including the owner Katherine who checked in on our table and all the others. Enjoyed all the dishes, but the crab cake bites and the haloumi & melon were standouts.”
