Sweet Cake

137-06 Northern Blvd, Queens, NY 11354, United States

“Everything we have bought at this bakery has been delicious and all the flavors are super unique which I love. Recently had the Yakult cheesecake and that was fresh, creamy and really tasty. We also got one of the Christmas themed cakes- the strawberry pistachio one, and not only is it beautiful but its also delicious and packaged so nicely complete with candles and plates. The price for it at $38 is also super fair and we even got a complimentary drink when we purchased, which was a lovely surprise. Service here is always so friendly and helpful and it’s also a nice place to sit for a bit and enjoy your sweets if you have time.”

“5 star! Buster's Real Ice Cream was awesome. The parking lot was full and people were parking alongside the road. The line was huge and the wait was long, but it was all worth it. The staff was very friendly and the service was great. We had a group of 10 and each of us ordered different menu items. Not one of us was disappointed. Thank you.”

“huge selection of sweets! cakes, cookies, pastries, donuts, brownies, all kinds of things- too many to name. my review is based on what I tried which was: carrot cake cupcake, buttercream cupcake, cream cheese frosted brownie, angel cream donut, cherry pastry, apple cinnamon coffee cake, cheese danish, cream horns, creamsicle cupcakes, and a custard puff. both of the cupcakes were great- soft, moist, nice flavor and both of the frostings were great, especially the buttercream- it was very unique and had a flavor unlike other buttercream frostings..reminded me of a wedding cake I had once. will definitely go back for that one. The mini cakes are basically the same as the cupcakes with the same delicious buttercream. The creamsicle cupcakes were soft but I didn't care for them because the frosting was a whipped cream type frosting. the custard puff was very flaky- the pastry part of it was wonderful, it had some fudge type icing on top which was really good too. the custard was- meh. didnt care for it. not much flavor. consistency was good though. The cream horns were amazing, flaky, great flavor and texture, loved them. The cheese danish was good, better after being in the microwave for a few seconds.. the apple cinnamon coffee cake was soft, moist, and also good. the angel cream donut was awful. i took one bite and spit it out. im not wasting calories on something which isnt enjoyable at all...it was dried out and kinda hard and seemed old, the actual donut part didnt have a good flavor- was bland and there was barely any angel cream inside, maybe 2 tbsp....although the little amount of it that was there was good and i did eat that before tossing the rest out. If youve ever had an angel cream donut from Paulas you know the high expectations you would have and this donut couldnt ever even come close to competing with paulas. the brownie was also bland. brownies from tops are better. the cream cheese frosting with chocolate shaving was good on top but the actual brownie was just bland, although the texture was decent, it was fairly moist. the cherry pastry- another fail unfortunately. it was like that canned cherry filling you buy in the store and the whole thing seemed like it wasnt home made, it seemed like pre-packaged dough and filling. not impressive at all. like something you would buy at a low quality place, i would expect better from a bakery with such a great reputation like this one. I much prefer butter block bakery, but I will be going back here for cupcakes and cream horns!!”

424 W 43rd St, New York, NY 10036, United States

“Nice neighborhood pie shop. It features a variety of pie, bread loafs, and drinks. The sour creme walnut apple pie is our favorite, but the sweet potato, key lime, and cheese cakes also are pretty good. The cool thing about this shop is that the owner is there to make sure things are going accordingly to plan and mingle with the customers. A nice touch.”

“I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not. By far the best kosher pizza in town and the top five overall best cheese slices in NYC. Their ingredients taste amazing. This pizzeria knows how to make delicious pizza. This place is a few blocks away from Di Fara. I highly recommend leaving space to try at least one slice from Pizza Time. You will not regret it.”

“No offense to the other donut places, 've tried them all and this place is the best out of the bunch, do not go anywhere else. I've gone TWICE as they were closing at like 1:50pm and both times I got some amazing fresh spectacular donuts like they just made them. The facility is clean and there is a lot of room to sit and eat your lunch. We had a corned beef sandwich on rye with lettuce and tomato, and Russian dressing. Brings back old memories of when I used to get it as a young kid.”

“It's an absolute pleasure to write a review for this establishment. The beers are phenomenal with so many types to try. The brûlée treatment to the stouts and barleywines was a first for me and insanely delicious. Everyone that works there is phenomenal. Irene & Tony were awesome behind the bar! The environment is super welcoming and warm with a charming ambiance. I met one of the owners as well and he was very nice. The pizza from Lala's is absolutely delicious! And I'd be remiss to not mention how awesome Simcoe the cat is! I wish this brewery was closer to me but it's worth the drive. I can't wait to go back.”

“I am a baker and I fall in love with Fabrique. The cardamom buns hands down the best in the city- the cardamom grinds are very right-front and center. Try cardamom almond cream buns and you are up to a big surprise. I love how the buns is bien cuit and crispy on top. The almond cream portion is generous mixing with peppery cardamom. The saffron raisin buns are worth mentioning too, so aromatic. Lastly, the crispy bread is addictively yummy. Bravo! I”
