The Blue Mezze Bar

1480 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10075, United States

“Went there for a birthday party and we were a party of about 20 people and got the space outside in the sidewalk which was very nicely decorated, cozy and heated and nicely lit, felt like our own private party as we were not mixed with any other guests which was great. The service was great, the menu was very nice and once the dishes came out ever hung was very tasty. I ordered an avocado and spinach feta salad which was absolutely delicious with the garlic olive oil and lemon splash, it was refreshing and I loved the texture since it was more of a dip but I love that as you can see from the picture alongside some bread which was also delicious and fresh and dipped into that and then we also had babaganush and I opted not to order it thinking of how it tastes store bought and this was far from it with great texture and taste and smoked paprika to add a new subtle smoky taste which was a very nice touch. I also order a lamb kebab to go which was a nice portion and tender and very tasty and juicy, highly recommend all these dishes. I would definitely go back there again to try other dishes and they also had a great choice of wines and other cocktails. It would be lovely to go there for a nice evening out for delicious food.”

3338 Niagara Falls Blvd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120, United States

“Really nice in here. A family member comes here all the time and we keep forgetting to go. Finally went today and they had a lot more items than just meats. Ended up getting 4 bags of salad that we can't get at the grocery stores and a bunch of other stuff. Also got broccoli and cheese sausage links. Can't wait to cook them.”

“Blown away by how authentic and delicious this Italian food is. Tasted like my nonna made some of it. I enjoyed the tomato sauce with the squash blossoms, the lobster raviolis were to die for, and the broccoli rabe with white fish was excellent as well. We were stuffed but got tiramisu and it was the first time in a long time that I was telling my wife this is how it tasted as kids. I have to mention the coffee and the beer I had from amorediNapoli because they were great as well. Service was quick with great suggestions. The location is a medium sized nice place for dates and families. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning.”

Saigon Spring Restaurant
4.7
( 8 reviews ) $$

1683 US-9, Clifton Park, NY 12065, United States

“Really good food. The broth is super flavorful. The crispy spring rolls are everything I crave in a crispy spring roll. Definitely recommend! Much better than 90% of restaurants in this area! Edit: My second time eating their food I decided to actually eat in rather than order out, and I'm so glad I did. That was one of the most pleasant eating experiences I've ever had. The food is truly exceptional. The staff were all super friendly, attentive, and polite. They got pretty busy for the lunch rush and didn't seem fazed at all. I will reiterate that this place is better than 90% of restaurants around the Clifton Park area, and add that I think they might be *the* best restaurant in Clifton Park.”

“I really enjoyed pick your own fish and grill it fresh approach. I chose with my wife a stripe bass and calamari grilled. I thought the food was a little bit unrefined for the price. It was great tasting but cut really big and or not deboned properly and missing lemon wedges or under seasoned. I enjoyed the grilled calamari, and Greek salad but this was a big reason why I can’t rate higher. The bread was too blond also no char. The dips were good. Honestly I don’t think I’ll return because of the competition around. A solid seafood spot just missing refinement.”

“If I had the chance, I’d give 10 stars. Being very familiar with Mediterranean cuisine, I never ever experienced such an amazing food. Definitely a must try. If I come to NYC again, no matter how long I stay, I’ll make sure to come back to this place. Every single dish we ordered, had a unique taste and was very creative. Thank you so much for this experience.”

Faicco's Italian Specialties
4.8

260 Bleecker St, New York, NY 10014, United States

“Perfect example of a "Great Sandwich Shop". As soon as you walk in, you have one cook for your whole visit. They'll greet you, take your order, make your order, have a small convo, and take your payment at the end. Sandwiches were amazing. I can't put into words how tasty they were. We had the Chicken Pesto Cutlet and the Italian Lover. They went heavy on the prosciutto and Roasted Red peppers without even asking for it (which i love). The sandwiches are $20 but the portions are so big you'll eat it for your next meal too. Besides the amazing food, they treated me like a regular and that genuine, sincere hospitality is so hard to find in this city. I can see how they've been open since the 1900's.”

“Probably the best duck I had in New York? Went to this place to celebrate getting a new job. We got the tasting menu and we enjoyed a lot. The duck is probably the best I had in New York. Generally the portion is big but the dishes were paced very well. Service is impeccable too. Would love to come back and try the new menu.”

Colosseo Pizza

“This is my all time favorite pizzeria. The pizza, garlic knots (the best I’ve ever had), the salad are all amazing. I don’t live close and make it a point to always come back here. It’s always consistent and delicious!”

Kingsbridge Social Club

“Wood fired pizza was really good with cold beer. The crust was light and crispy. Fresh onion and garlic on the pizza was unique and special. It made pizza more tasty. Wings and pasta were good also.”

Pizza Time

“I am not writing this review to tell you what to do with your hard-earned money. I am going to share my thoughts and you make your own decision if you would like to try this place or not. By far the best kosher pizza in town and the top five overall best cheese slices in NYC. Their ingredients taste amazing. This pizzeria knows how to make delicious pizza. This place is a few blocks away from Di Fara. I highly recommend leaving space to try at least one slice from Pizza Time. You will not regret it.”

Tibbett Diner

“Loved the food, the service, the entire experience! Deluxe burger with grilled onions & mushrooms, and chocolate chip pancakes with blueberries & strawberries (the only place where I've gotten such a generous helping of berries!). The food was great, the person serving was very friendly and helpful. Definitely going to visit again!”

Shawarma Bay
4.9

1290 6th Ave, Manhattan, NY 10104, United States

“It’s a legit food truck with staff and a much better quality product than most of the carts in the area. The gyro and rice is more restaurant style and it’s a legit salad, not a pile of iceberg like the carts. Definitely cleaner too.”

The Original Soup Kitchen
4.6
( 8 reviews ) $$

259A W 55th St, New York, NY 10019, United States

“The place was very close to my hotel, so I bought soup three times. It is always to take away, but you can order there and eat standing up (there is space and the street is never crowded). Sometimes I saw a small queue in the evening. If the soup is finished early, then you can expect that the place will be closed a little earlier than the schedule indicates in Google. The lobster roll is small, but the soups are totally worthy and that's the reason I didn't decrease the stars for that. The list of soups changes every day. They give a piece of bread, mint chocolate and a fruit (apple, pear, banana). Considering the usual prices in NYC, this place has a very good price. I ordered the smallest size of soup, and for me it was enough.”

Cheeky Sandwiches

Under Construction, 88 Essex St, New York, NY 10002, United States

“A little hard to find but well worth the search. The service was fast and pleasant. You can tell the owners/workers take pride in what they are doing. I got the chicken sandwich and it did not disappoint. The biscuits are top notch and the flavor on the chicken is really good. So often you get chicken sandwiches that are dressed up with all kinds of things that disguise the lack of flavor in the chicken itself. The toppings complimented the chicken, leaving it front and center. Can you get a better chicken sandwich in the city? I’m sure you can find a few somewhere. Can you get a better chicken sandwich for under $7? Absolutely not. A new LES staple”

Johnny's Pizzeria
4.5
( 8 reviews )

30 W Lincoln Ave, Mt Vernon, NY 10550, United States

“To date (Dec 2023), I think this is the best pizza I've ever had--the plain round pie, that is. It is so incredibly thin and crispy, almost transparent, but still has plenty of body. The edges are charred just right. However, it is a bit dry and flour-y as you get near the crust, so next time I think we'll order a side of sauce for dipping. Fantastic pizza, reminds me of some tavern style pizzas I've had around the north Jersey area. The salads were also fresh, and the Italian bread was still warm and crispy from the oven. I'll come back here many times.”
