“Very cute place! My boyfriend and I had a romantic getaway to Watkins Glen and stayed in one of the cabins here. They were very welcoming and dog friendly, which we loved. The cabins were clean and had plenty of linen and towels. Heating was great in the room once it kicked in. The lake view from the main lobby is the best. We had breakfast in the bistro our last morning and loved the waffleini. We also loved the dog they had on site! Would definitely return to stay here again.”

“My stay was terrible, it's a dog friendly hotel and the front desk Tina was extremely rude. Then we were accused of smoking pot in our room and was asked to leave almost Leaving us on the streets. The police were more professional then the two women that we dealt with. I have been working in customer service for over 20 yrs and if I had spoken to a customer the way we were spoken to I would have been out of a job. Not to mention we definitely felt profiled being the only African American man staying in the hotel.”

“This hotel was great over all! I have a hard time giving a normal hotel 5 stars, so don’t take the 4 as a negative. This place has certainly been remodeled in the last few years. The lobby and breakfast area were beautiful. My family really enjoyed the breakfast selection. Our room was nice and clean. I don’t understand why places remodel but keep some of the older fixtures. This place has digital keys and the updated entertainment units (name on the screen when I walked in). The kitchen was really nice. However they kept some older dressers and such. For me that is the difference between 4 and 5 stars for a standard hotel. One annoyance was that we booked a room for 4 and it was stocked with towels for 3. That did, however, give me a reason to interact with the front desk. The staff were all very personable. There are plenty of great dining options within a 5 mile radius of the hotel. Over all, I’d absolutely stay here with my family again.”

“Our out of town guests stayed at this hotel for our wedding in May 2018. One of our guests (my sister) is in a wheelchair and travel is hard for her and our parents. The hotel was very communicative and did all they could to help us arrange our rooms and make sure everything went as smoothly as possible. It was very appreciated. Although the hotel does sit right beside the BQE the windows were soundproof and we all slept well while there. The rooms are small but adequate and clean and with everything you need. The location is central to williamsburg and many attractions, restaurants, and things to do in the area. We were very happy with out experience there.”

“Stayed for a hockey tournament. Had a good stay. An older facility and changing hands. I enjoyed the features that were available. The rooms were clean and comfortable. What really stood out was the staff. Especially, Cheryl and Sandra(?) on continental breakfast, doing the best darn job they can in a small prep kitchen. I love Annie, she made my stay and my life better, I am blessed having met her, I wished she was my mom.”

“We stayed here for one night. The air conditioner works very well, so does the heat. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. My only real complaints are that the pool wasn't open (they do offer you to go to their sister location across the street to use theirs, but it's cold!) And the pillows are extremely small for a queen sized bed. They are practically square. I would love some better pillows. Also, you have to call them for WiFi, it's not just available in the room you have to call for access information. And it's not just the front desk. The service was great though.”

“My family and I love taking our kiddos to the little water park at Comfort Inn. We have enjoyed many Saturday and Sunday afternoons and evenings here letting the kids have a blast. However, the last couple of times we have come December 2023-January 2024, the level of chlorine in the pool and in the air in the pool room is unbearable. We are here now and my sister and I brought our girls here for some fun but we are leaving after about 30 minutes because the chlorine is too much. We're going to take the girls to the arcade instead. Someone needs to address this issue. I spoke to one of the lifeguards and he informed me that management is aware of this issue. It needs to be corrected. This is one of the only places to bring children for fun in our area. It needs to be safe for them. It has NEVER been like this and only got this bad during the last couple of months. I hope it is addressed and taken care of.”

“Positive: clean, beautiful. Easy to get to. Delicious breakfast. Pet friendly. Negative: they called the cops when we left our 12 yr old for a few hours. We came to town for my sister’s funeral and I had to go and do estate stuff. My daughter thought she’d go back to the hotel and chill. The front desk didn’t even call my husband (who’s on the reservation). The cops were good sports about it and I apologized that the hotel wasted their time. Also, doing laundry is a challenge. The staff have to let you in to the laundry room as it is not even locked for a key card. You can imagine what a pain this is every half hour. Many times the front desk employee was “in the back” so it became tiresome. Also, the washer is coin operated and there is only one. I was told this is also for “safety reasons”. But yet you can still get in to the pool with a key card. ? Probably won’t stay here again.”

“With so much out of town family we had to have an overnight option for our guests. A farther drive from our venue in canandaigua but so worth it. I worked directly with Dawn for the room block/updates and booking. She was always willing to help us out whichever way we needed. She gave us a great price on our room choices and gave us options within our block for different room options. We filled our room block many times and adding more was never an issue. We also toured before making a room block and the staff was so accommodating with showing us the rooms and answering our questions. We utilized the conference room for our after party and it was a quick and easy add to our reservation. Check in/out was also easy and they granted an early check in for our out of town guests. We used their 2 bedroom suite options for the girls in the morning and we had space for all 14 people! Dawn was wonderful with correspondence and on top of everything. Honestly we only communicated through email and it was a breeze.”

“I stayed at this location using points this past weekend. It was a great stay. Beds and rooms were comfortable, shampoo/conditioner/body wash smell incredible. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were extremely surprised with the continental breakfast. It is very inclusive with oat/almond/soy milk options, lots of fruits, eggs, etc. The location was nice enough with lots of restaurants around the area - that we did not know about until we arrived, unfortunately. That's likely our fault though. The pool is small but did the trick. Luckily it was empty when we went. I don't think it's really big enough for two or more groups.”

“Had a great stay at The Lake Motel last weekend - extremely clean room with a recently renovated bathroom and comfortable mattress. The desk attendant communicated well ahead of and during check-in. The decks down by the lake have beautiful views, nice chairs, and fire pits. Only challenge was with the wifi, but it was a stormy weekend, which may have been part of the cause. I had decently strong cell service (Verizon) in our room, but my partner who has a different carrier did not.”
